POV

X

Millie is currently changing back into her work clothes, she refuses to wear the clothes we bought earlier for this restaurant. While she's busy changing I call Dani.

After three rings she answers.

"Yo," she says through the line, see, just like a guy.

"Hey, I need you to box up the green, Antonio is coming this weekend and needs ten pounds to bring back with him," I say trying to be as discreet as possible.

"Yeah, okay consider it done," she says confidently.

I don't say anything else, I just hang up. I was planning to do it myself today but Millie needed me more today and she always comes first in my life.

She comes back out dressed, "ready to go?" I ask.

She nods and follows me down the strip to Bluewater Boathouse. We're greeted by some tall, lanky loser who's looking my girl up and down like she's on the menu. She's fucking not, maybe for me but no one else. I want to deck this fucker in the face but I guess it wouldn't be appropriate for how classy this place looks.

We follow the guy, as we walk behind him I think about how I could probably knock his ass out in one single punch like I did Nico. He seats us in a slate gray booth that overlooks the ocean, hands us menus, and leaves.

"This is kinda our first real public date," Millie says with her face covered by the menu.

Shit, she's right. I'm such a fuck up I haven't even taken her out on a real date. We did the beach date but that was private. She deserves to be seen out in the world with me.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, sorry about that.." I say feeling pretty guilty.

She tips the top of the menu down and raises an eyebrow at me, "Don't be, I don't care about that kind of stuff, I was just making a statement is all, no meaning behind it."

A waiter comes to our table, a different guy, one that is dressed in a wrinkle-free white button-down dress shirt and black slacks. His hair is completely slicked back and I see him look at Millie for a second too long. My blood starts to boil with rage. I'm not happy about this. I know Millie is a beautiful woman but my effin god, have some fucking respect dude, we're clearly here together.

"What can I get you two to drink tonight?" He asks with a pen and paper in hand.

"Water," I respond cooly without giving him any additional attention.

"I'll have the same please," Millie says a fuck of a lot nicer than I.

"Coming right up," he says putting his hands behind his back and walking away from our table.

"Why do you have to be like that?" Millie asks staring into my soul.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I say putting my head in the menu not actually reading anything.

"You were being a jerk," she says pouting.

"Yeah well, I can't respect a person that checks out my girl, especially when I'm right here," I say still not looking up at her. I don't need to look up to see her scowling at me.

"Whatever.." she says finally dropping it.

"Thank god," I whisper to myself.

"I heard that," she says copping an attitude.

I finally dip down the menu just enough to give her a smirk and then tilt it back up to conceal my face.

The way too upscale appearing waiter comes back with our waters and then asks, "Have we had a chance to look over the menu?"

I want to make an asshole remark to that, we?

But I don't because the polite police is going to lecture me again.

"Um, yeah, I'll have the Cesar salad please," she says closing her menu.

"No, she won't," I say dryly.

She's surprised by my intervention.

"She'll take the blue water surf and turf and so will I," I say closing my menu and handing the menu back to the stiff waiter without looking his way.

"Are you sure miss?" Ritzy asks.

"Um" is her only response.

"Yes she's sure, she purposely picked the cheapest thing on the menu," I say getting angrier by the second.

"Okay," is all the waiter says and walks away.

"X.." Millie says quietly.

"What Millie?" I more or less state than ask.

"What if I wanted the salad?" She asks looking at me.

I do a small chuckle, "Did you really want the salad?"

She rolls her eyes at me. Thought so..

"You don't have to spend a bunch of money on me all the time," she says barely inaudible.

"Yeah baby, I know I don't, but I want to. Trust me, I can afford it. I have money to blow and even if that wasn't the circumstances, you better believe I'd spend my last dollar on you," I say meaning every fucking word.

"Thank you," she blushes.
