Call from the Devil

Feng Mian felt a headache. There was an unwritten rule in the company that the president would not see anyone unless it was for an extremely important matter. After all, their presidents owned several companies and didn't always stay in this company.

As Feng Mian walked out of the lift, she scanned the top floor. If she had to be honest, this would be the first time ever she came onto this floor. As an ordinary employee, she never had any qualification to enter this floor in the past before.

Zhang Liang was sitting on his table with a laptop before him with a middle aged man standing beside him. He was just looking at the work with a firm posture, yet there was a dark aura around him that prevented anyone from getting closer. Just seeing that already made Feng Mian want to run away as far as possible.

Zhang Liang beckoned for her to come in. "This is Lawyer Zhou. He's just here to make sure there won't be any legal problem."

"Oh… ok," Feng Mian came to the realization that Zhang Liang must be looking for her to talk about the deal yesterday. She cursed silently as she was actually wondering why he was calling for her. If it was work related, she would have been dead a long time ago because if he berated her, she might not be able to work elsewhere.

Zhang Liang beckoned for her to sit and showed a document to her. Feng Mian lowered her head and picked the document. Reading through it, Feng Mian could see that Zhang Liang made each point very clear about her duties as Madam Zhang. However, there were some things she needed to make sure because some of the words sounded strange.

As someone who didn't major in law, she was highly unfamiliar with how these things work.

"Can I ask some things just to be clear?"

"Sure," Lawyer Zhou replied with a smile.

"I have to stay with President Zhang?"

"Yes."

"Does it mean I also need to sleep with him?"

"Only if you want," Zhang Liang was the one who replied. "But I don't have any interest in your flat body, so you don't have to worry."

"You don't need to work."

Feng Mian rolled her eyes. "President Zhang, I'm also your employee in this company."

"That's why you don't need to work. As the wife of the businessman who owns a lot of money, you can just stay at home and use my money as you wish," Zhang Liang replied calmly.

"Are you not afraid that I won't make you bankrupt?"

Feng Mian opened her mouth and closed it again. Recalling the fund that they had for the project, she knew that Zhang Liang invested millions if not billions into his company each month. "Why do you want me to stay at home and not work?"

"It's dangerous."

Feng Mian arched her eyebrows. "I assume that a lot of people are targeting you, President Zhang."

"I didn't have to be smart to know it." Feng Mian rubbed her forehead. "Can I just go to work normally until this project is finished? Afterwards, I'll just ask to work from home."

"Work from home?" Zhang Liang frowned.

"Well, I'm a designer, so it doesn't really matter even if I can't present. I can send my work online and send the color code and motif to my team," Feng Mian explained. Lawyer Zhao wiped his sweat as he watched the two of them argue. Internally, he was hoping that they could come in terms soon because he felt as if there was a raging volcano about to erupt.
