Annie was still yelling Mikaboshi so Momo and I just went up to my room to avoid having to yell at him ourselves. As soon as I closed the door, Momo came over to me and kissed me. I pushed her back onto my bed and we started making out. I pulled off my shirt and Momo smiled.
"Am I interrupting something, Alyx?" I heard Mikaboshi ask.
"GYAH!!" We both shouted.
"Holy hell! Could you at least knock next time, Boshi?" I responded.
"It's kind of hard when you can walk through everything." He answered.
I shook my head and sighed. Mikaboshi phased into me again, which Momo shook her head and laughed.
"He's done that more than once, hasn't he?" She giggled.
"Yeah, he has! Trust me, there's a lot of stories that I could tell you!" I laughed with her.
I laid down and Momo sat on top of me. She laid down and sighed.
"I truly missed you, Alyx. This past week has been something else, hasn't it?" Momo said.
"Honestly, it really has been! I can't wait for things to go back to normal." I replied.
"Speaking of normal..." Momo smirked and leaned closer to me.
"He wouldn't happen to see what goes on outside, would he?" Momo whispered.
I shook my head, "Not unless I want him to, why?"
"Just wondering, it'd be weird if he saw everything. Do you mind if I do this?" She questioned.
"Whatever it is, go ahead, I don't mind." I responded.
She threw off her shirt and I tensed up.
"M-Momo! We aren't at the dorms, you know!" I whispered.
"But I'm hoooooot babe!" Momo whined.
I grabbed my shirt and quickly put it on her, "Well, it doesn't help that you're practically naked either! You should've just said you were hot, silly!"
Momo put on a pouty face as she looked at me, I completely forgot they gave her pain killers before she left the hospital, no wonder she was acting like this! I closed my eyes, sighed, and then smiled. I booped her nose but got no response from her, she was still adamant on this pouting of hers. I sat up and stared at her for a bit, she still kept on pouting.
"You know, I should probably tell you this, but I... I have a serious condition." I spoke softly.
She stopped pouting and raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? What would that be?"
"It's uh... It's hard to say, it's very well life threatening. It's called 'Snarplebarple'. Whenever I get ouchies, it makes my body and bones hurt. The residual boo boos I obtain can very well-" I replied.
Momo burst out in laughter as I maintained my serious tone.
"B-Boo boos?!" She giggled.
I couldn't help but laugh with her, usually, she doesn't laugh this hard! She rolled off of me and continued to laugh.
"Good grief... If I knew your laugh was this cute, I would've made you laugh more!" I chuckled.
She stopped laughing after a while and stared up at my ceiling, she beckoned me to come closer to her. I leaned over to her and she started snickering.
"D-Did you know... That I think you're cute? Actually... No... Cuuuute!" She whispered.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, are you sure it's not you that's cute?" I asked.
"Of course I am! I'm just giving you confidence." Momo giggled.
I narrowed my eyes as she started laughing yet again. She laid back down on my bed and stared at the ceiling.
"I'm hungry." Momo sighed.
"What do you want to eat?" I wondered.
She slowly turned her head to the left to look at me, she smiled as she narrowed her eyes.
"Give me that Overdrive DI-" Momo tried to shout.
"DO NOT FINISH THAT SENTENCE!" I quickly interrupted.
I felt Mikaboshi shift around, "Alyx, she may be trying to entrap you."
"Entrap me in what?" I asked.
"A terrible thing... Do you remember what happened with those Succubus women?" He reminded me.
I started shaking in my boots, "Oh God..."
"You shall NOT entice me, woman! I am my OWN MAN, my OWN decision maker, my OWN-" I tried to argue.
"I'll wear those thigh highs that for some reason you request me to-" Momo reasoned.
"DEAL." My voice echoed.
[4 Hours Later...]
I walked back into my room and saw that Momo was fast asleep. It was only about 6:00, I'm assuming she'll be out for a while. My phone rang and I picked it up.
"Hello? Who is this?" I questioned.
"Hawks. You know? That winged guy with dashing good looks?" He answered.
"Yes, you could've just told me your name and kept it at that." I responded.
"I need you to turn on the news. It's important." Hawks told me and he hung up.
I looked down at my phone and looked up at my T.V. I turned it on and sat down on my bed.
"Good evening everyone, I'm Sone Eiji, this is JWN. We're starting tonight's broadcast off with the protests that have been happening in recent weeks. Hundreds of people have been protesting around the Hero Public Safety Commission and various Pro Hero agencies around Japan." The news reporter announced.
There were people holding signs that said things like, "Save The Kids!", "Children Aren't Weapons", "Redo the Association!", and more. It seems as if some people were irate at the Shizuoka incident, I'm not sure if the Pro Heroes had said anything about it, but it seems as if they hadn't done it in time. Either that or whatever was said didn't exactly sit well with everyone. I felt Momo put her hand on my shoulder as we both watched the rest of the report. The Hero Association tried to give answers to the best of their abilities, but those answers weren't exactly the greatest. If anything, they were extremely vague.
"We're trying everything we can to make some sort of sense of the situation. We ask that all of you please bear with us. The events that occurred in both Shizuoka and Yamanashi will be addressed once we've gotten a better understanding of the situations. We'll be calling the Yamanashi incident into question first." The HPSC President told a crowd.
I turned off the T.V. and sat there in deep thought. What exactly were they going to do?
"So, what'll this mean for us?" Momo wondered.
"I'm not sure, but hopefully something good comes from this. Knowing the HPSC, I kind of have my doubts though." I replied.
"Wait, did you happen to see the women standing next to him? Those weren't the Quartet Girls, were they?" Momo noted.
I sat there and thought for a minute, now that she mentioned it, I think those were!
"Those mother fuckers... They did this on purpose! Tomikoa was only a part of whatever scheme they had going on, these protests and calls for action must be the next one." I observed.
"Hawks called me and told me to watch the news, I'm glad I listened. Whatever the hell is going on, I've got a gut feeling that the Commission is gonna try and pull some bullshit. Just when we thought we could catch a break..." I continued.
"Whatever it may be, I'm sure some good will come from it, hopefully." Momo reassured.
[One Week Later...]
"Sensei!!" I heard Selina shout.
I looked down the street and saw her barreling towards me! She stopped herself somehow and stood there grinning.
"H-Hey, Selina! It's been a while!" I smiled.
"Woah... You look so different! And you're so tall!" Selina marveled.
"Well, after training with Endeavor and something called aging, it really changes how you look! So, how are you and Sota?" I told her.
She looked down at the ground, "Oh, Sota? Well... I haven't heard from him in a while."
"Huh? Really? That's unusual, you two are normally not separable." I noted.
"I know, that's what's got me worried. What if he's in trouble?" Selina fretted.
I closed my eyes, "He's not in trouble, he's doing just fine!"
"What? How could you tell?" She questioned.
"His Heat Energy, that's how. Thankfully, I made contact with him while I was using my Quirk." I replied.
"But that doesn't explain why he hasn't talked to me in like, forever!" Selina exclaimed.
I shrugged my shoulders, "I dunno, I haven't gotten the slightest idea. Maybe you should go talk to him and see what's up?"
"Great idea! How come I never thought of that? Thank you, Sensei!" She grinned.
She zoomed down the street towards Sota's house. Selina definitely was quite the individual, I don't even know how someone like Sota could even handle her! I continued walking down the street until I found the alleyway Hawks told me to meet him at. I stood there and fired off a single Stardust Shoot into the air. Minutes after, I heard the familiar sound of wings flapping and someone landing.
"So, I suppose you heard about what's going on?" Hawks asked.
"That I do, I had to tell the others I was going on a walk, so let's make this quick." I responded.
Hawks sat down a laptop on a dumpster and opened it up. I looked through the document on the computer. The HPSC had suggested a bill that would restrict those that are currently enrolled in schools like U.A. from being used as allies in large scale events, most specifically, war-like events. There were huge flaws that I saw, one of which stated, "Those enrolled in these schools shall be prohibited from engaging in activities that cause detrimental harm to themselves, others, and/or the environment around them."
"Jesus... I can understand them not wanting to put us in wars like Jaku City, but everything else is ridiculous." I muttered.
"I know, we all had a meeting earlier today, it seemed as if some of the Pros weren't exactly happy with me pointing out the obvious flaws." Hawks told me.
"Thanks for the info! I gotta get going now, be safe out there, alright?" I replied.
Hawks nodded and we both flew away. I made my way back to the dorms and landed on my balcony. I opened my balcony door and quietly slid it open.
"So, you wanna tell me where you've been?" Momo questioned.
I turned around, "I was... Um... I was with Hawks, he showed me that bill the HPSC introduced."
"So, you lied not just to me, but to all of us? Alyx, do you not remember what I told you?" Momo scolded.
"Listen, it was just one time, I don't-" I tried to say.
She interrupted, "One time that'll turn into multiple. You said that last time and you were out constantly! One second you would be here with all of us and then the next you'd be gone until midnight doing God knows what."
"It's not gonna be like that, Hawks just wanted me to talk about that thing, that's all. I promised you guys that I wouldn't go out all the time, I didn't want you guys to worry about why Hawks would be asking me to meet him in some alleyway." I explained.
Momo crossed her arms and looked away from me. I put my hand on her shoulder but she kept looking away.
"I understand why you're upset and I'm not gonna say I'm in the right. I lied to you guys and I apologize for that, but we can't be left in the dark on these things, Hawks is the only person I know that'll tell me about what's going on. There's huge issues with this bill they're trying to introduce, Momo." I continued.
"Do you think I want to talk about that bill right now, Alyx? Have you ever thought about what I want to talk about?" She argued.
"Of course I have, Momz, what are you talking about? I've listened to you rattle of whatever's on your mind for the past two years now." I cooed.
"It's just..." Her voice trailed off.
I put both of my hands on her shoulders, "What's wrong, Momo?"
"I... I haven't been feeling the same since that whole Tomikoa incident, I've been bottling my feelings up about it and you never bothered to ask me about it!" She bawled.
I hugged her as she fell into me. Those words hit me like a truck, have I been going back to being distant subconsciously? I held her close to me and laid down on my bed.
"Momo, I didn't know you felt that way, I'm sorry. I should've asked you sooner." I apologized.
