[Alyx Leonidus, Age 15. 3.5 Years Prior]
(I.R.P.: Listen to "Light of Hope" from My Hero Academia)
"LAURA!!" I cried out.
She stood in front of Black-Heart, I couldn't do anything but watch as Annie did what Laura told her, I was too hurt to even protect her so Laura told Annie to keep me safe.
*THIRD PERSON*
"Alyx... I love you... I always will!" She shouted.
The orange flame-like shield swirled around her as she stood off against Black-Heart.
"Oh? So, your wish is death? You must be a fuckin' idiot!" Black-Heart cackled.
"That's what you think. But I'm doing this... Because I know Alyx will come back to kill you for what you've done. I believe in him, I always have!" Laura retorted.
She charged forward, slamming her fist into Black-Heart. He grabbed her and decaying flowers shot up her arm, causing her Quirk to deactivate. Black-Heart grabbed her by the throat and the flowers slowly went up her neck.
"A-Alyx... Go... G-Get stronger... F-For me... I-I... Love... You..." She croaked.
"LAURA!!!" Alyx cried out once more.
Tears and blood fell off his face as Annie took off with Alyx. He tried to escape from Annie's grasp but it was no good, and then, it was too late. Black-Heart's Decaying Flowers made their way up Laura's entire head, killing her instantly.
"LAURA!!!" Alyx yelled.
He closed his eyes and began to cry hysterically. Annie held him tight as tears began to flow down her face as well.
[Several Days Later...]
A huge funeral was organized after Laura's death. Alyx stood silently with a bandage wrapped around the left side of his head, due to Black-Heart's attack in Las Vegas.
"Alyx...?" Sheyenne spoke up.
Alyx didn't say a single word to her, he glanced over at her then back to the grave in front of him. Sheyenne walked over to him and held his hand.
"I didn't think that it was gonna rain today, Laura hates the rain, has she ever told you that?" Alyx muttered.
Sheyenne looked at Alyx who was staring at the sky. At first she was confused, it was cloudy, but it wasn't raining. It wasn't until she saw the tears rolling down the right side of his face that she understood what he meant.
"Yeah, I didn't think that either." She responded.
Sheyenne hugged him tightly, "They'll bring him to justice... I promise you."
[Later That Night...]
*LEONIDUS' P.O.V.*
I stared out of my window; I hadn't left my room since we came back from Laura's funeral this afternoon. I heard a knock on my door and someone walked in. I turned around to see who it was. I didn't expect the number 1 Pro Hero of America to be standing in my room!
"M-Ms. America? What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Your mother and father were worried about you. I understand why, but you can't lock yourself up here with your thoughts." She replied.
"I know but... I just..." I sputtered.
She walked over to be and placed her hand on my head.
"I want you to remember what I'm about to tell you, alright? You don't need to deal with problems on your own. You have dozens of people that are wanting to help you and give you a shoulder to cry on. There's nothing wrong with expressing your emotions." She cooed.
I sat there for a bit before I hugged her. She let out a surprised "Oh" as I did.
"I-I... I want to get stronger... I don't want to be scared anymore!" I sniffled.
I gripped her cape tightly as I started to cry. She hugged me back and rubbed my back gently.
[Present Day]
"...And from then on out, I devoted myself solely to getting stronger with my Quirk. And that's when I put up that mask, you know, that I enjoy fighting? Although it is nice to see strong Quirks in action and go up against them. But that's if I don't have to worry about dying." I finished.
"Woah, Black-Heart's the one that caused you to lose your memory? At least he's gone!" Kaminari remarked.
"He isn't gone, Kaminari." I replied.
Laura leaned forward and looked at me, "Didn't you kill him once you got your Quirk back?"
"Yes, I did. But the amount of suffering he's etched into me, it's almost as if he's still alive, the funniest thing about it..." I told them.
I pointed to the scar on my left eye, "...It's all etched into me right here, a constant reminder that I wasn't strong enough to save the one person I loved. Now that I've actually talked about it, I feel relieved almost, like weight's been completely been lifted off of my shoulders."
"That's wonderful! The heavens surely have casted their light upon you, Holy Child." Shiozaki resounded.
"Right on! Whatever that means I agree!" Mineta chimed in.
I focused on the cup of Lavendar Tea that was in front of me as I leaned forward from the couch.
"I can't thank you guys enough for being so patient with me, I know it probably feels like a chore having to deal with me when I feel like this, I guess being an idiot and keeping my emotions to myself is just my thing." I softly smiled.
"You aren't an idiot for doing that, it takes some time to come out with your emotions. We aren't gonna force you to tell us how you feel. Sometimes, stuff like this is hard to tell someone." Sero replied.
I looked over at Sero, "Thank you... You know, all this talk is kinda making me hungry!"
"And there is it, we get done with something emotional, and you say you're hungry. Never ceases to amaze me!" Jiro laughed.
"Hey! Why don't we invite the rest of our class over and have pizza? Do you think we could have it delivered here?" Yosetsu asked.
"My mind is telling me 'no more human interaction', but that actually sounds like fun!" I responded.
Kirishima and Mina went to go tell Mr. Aizawa about our rather early dinner. I went upstairs to my room. I never really noticed that my game console hadn't been turned on in quite some time now. I turned on my T.V., turned on my console, and signed into my profile.
"Geez, Xenoverse 2 has been in here for a while! I wonder if I'm any good still...?" I mumbled.
I hit the icon and waited for it to start up, as it started, Momo came into my room. She stood in front of me and pointed at my lap.
"Is this seat taken already?" She wondered.
"Nope, go right ahead." I replied.
She sat down in between my legs and tilted her head at my T.V.
"Hmm... Darling, is this that game you and Kaminari play against each other with?" Momo questioned.
I nodded my head at her, "Yep, it's been a while since I actually played it, let alone even turned it on!"
"Oh! May I play with you?" Momo bubbled.
"Sure!" I smiled.
I used an Overdrive Whip to grab the second controller for her. She turned it on and waited for me to choose a character. I chose mine and she began to search through to find one she liked.
Momo made her way over to a character, "Ooo! That character looks rather interesting, are those carrots on his shoulders?"
"No, silly! But they do kind of look like 'em now that you mention it." I chuckled.
We loaded up on a random map and Momo started to run her character around in circles around me.
"What exactly am I supposed to do?" She asked.
"Well, it's simple, you're supposed to fight! That's pretty much the whole premise right now." I explained.
She hit a button that made her attack me, "Oh, my goodness! I'm sorry about that!"
"Why are you apologizing? That's all you have to do!" I laughed.
"Oh, really? Okay!" Momo beamed.
She completely changed gears and started doing a random assortment of shit, which that random assortment of shit was actually working. I couldn't hit her because she was moving back and forth quickly.
"I am the velocity!" She exclaimed.
"H-Hey! Slow down there, speed demon!" I laughed.
I've never seen someone so adamant on winning like her right now! I couldn't help but keep laughing at everything she was doing and saying. I dropped my controller on my floor and fell backwards out of laughter. I heard the game pause and I slowly regained my composure after wiping tears from my eyes.
"That was actually the first time in a while that you've genuinely smiled and laughed. That was... Really nice to hear." Momo smiled softly.
"Well, it's because I don't have to hide anything anymore, plus the fact that I'm doing what I love with someone that I love." I smiled back.
I felt her squeeze my cheeks and I opened my eyes, "You are most definitely too cute for your own good, have I ever told you that? What would Kaminari say? You're 'baby'?"
"Yeth, probably." I replied.
My door opened and Deku walked in.
"Hey, Mr. Aizawa's ordering pizza for us! It's quite a bit as well, it should be here in about an hour and a half." He informed us.
"Pizza, did you say?" Mikaboshi chimed in.
I looked to my right and he was phasing out of my shoulder. It kinda startled me!
"Apologies, my lord, but what is this 'pizza'? It sounds rather intriguing; I'm rather fascinated with this mundane world's delicacies." Mikaboshi continued.
"First off, 'my lord'? Second off, it's really amazing! It's basically cheese, tomato sauce and bread all baked together with other things!" I answered.
"Well, that mark you bore on your forehead whilst in your 'Infinite Mode' state has led me to believe that you are on a higher status than I." Mikaboshi explained.
We all looked at him confused, "Huh?"
I guess he was about as confused as we were. What exactly did the mark on my forehead have to do with some sort of status? It's just some marking, nothing more, nothing less.
"Speaking of that, who are we picking for the members of our team for that tournament?" Deku wondered.
"Tournament? There's another tournament?" I replied.
Momo nodded at me, "Yes, darling, were you not paying attention to Mr. Aizawa this morning? 1 school from America, Japan, China, Russia, and the United Kingdom are participating in something called 'The World Tournament'. U.A. is representing Japan and each school has to pick a team starting with their First Years and so on so forth. We need 10 people on our team before Saturday."
"Hmm... Well, you can count me in! I'll be the first on the team for sure!" I beamed.
"Really? Are you sure?" Deku fretted.
"Uh huh! Deku, what you told me last night, how I shouldn't hide behind a mask anymore... I want to prove to you guys that the mask is off completely! I'll fight in this tournament and I'll show you guys the real me!" I reassured him.
"Alright, that's what I like to see! Come on, let's go downstairs and see who wants to join." He chirped.
We walked downstairs to the Common Room, there were so many choices to choose from! I guess it was all about evaluating and asking if anyone wants to be a part of it. I joined everyone and the entirety of Class 3-B once again.
"OKAY! So, that tournament is coming up soon and we need to choose 9 more members for our team. I've already volunteered." I announced.
Everyone looked around the room at each other. After a couple of minutes, we established 7 other people: Deku, Bakugo, Momo, Shoto, Kendo, Monoma and Kaminari.
"Sooo... We just need two more people. Hmm... Hey! Laura! What about you?" I bubbled.
"M-Me? I'm not sure, this whole tournament stuff sounds scary, but if you're on the team... Then I'll do it!" She proudly proclaimed.
"Alright! Now, just one more person. But you guys said you had your fill on these tournaments, I guess I don't blame you all, that last one was insane!" I noted.
My mind was drawing a blank, who exactly would we choose? This should be easy but everyone isn't exactly too eager to be a part of this tournament.
"Wait, it doesn't HAVE to be just from both of our classes, right? As long as they're a student at U.A. it's fine?" I asked.
"I believe so. The Second Years might have some strong options for us to choose from." Iida responded.
I looked at my phone, "I think I might just know someone. Give me one second and I'll be right back with them!"
I entered the Seventh Plane in hopes that I could contact them. I stood there in the empty white void and concentrated as hard as I could on their Heat Energy.
"Hey, Mabel! I have a bit of a favor to ask you." I announced.
I heard something phase in from behind me, I turned around and there she was!
"Oh, Father? What do you need?" She asked.
"Would you be interested in helping us out during this tournament? We just have one more spot to fill and I think you could be a huge help for our team!" I replied.
"A tournament? I'd love to! If I get the chance to fight with you again, I'll take it! When is it?" Mabel agreed.
"Saturday, that's when. I suggest you train until then, I'll be back here to get you before it starts, okay?" I told her.
She nodded and I nodded back. We both faded out of the Seventh Plane, I couldn't wait to tell everyone about our 10th member! I opened my eyes and found everyone patiently waiting for me.
"So, what'd you do?" Bakugo questioned.
"I just found our 10th member, that's what! Mabel's joining us for the tournament!" I exclaimed.
"MABEL?!" Everyone shouted.
Kirishima nearly dropped his drink, "You mean that one girl who's your daughter from another time? THAT Mabel?"
"Yep, that's the one! She was super excited about it." I confirmed.
"Dude, this is awesome! Now there's no way we can't win!" Kaminari cheered.
It seems as if I made the right choice from the looks on everyone's faces. There was one thing for certain, this tournament was gonna be intense!
