Look at my Power

As soon as the meeting concluded, Blackbelly and Ernest immediately went outside the mansion and got on the carriage they had prepared in advance.

The carriage rattled loudly as they proceeded down the town streets. Since the roads were old cobblestone, it shook quite a bit. Carrying on, they made their way to what seemed to be a prosperous shopping district with many stores all lined up in a row. The carriage stopped in front of one such shop.

"We've arrived! Come now, let's head inside." Ernest did as Blackbelly asked and stepped out onto the street. The store's signboard sported a needle and thread design.

Entering the clothing shop, Ernest was surprised at the variety of clothes displayed before him. He doesn't know much about medieval ages but the clothes here were made out of wool, similar to the uniforms made back in the WW2 era.

'Maybe it's time for me to not refer to this world as medieval-age.' Ernest thought.

In the middle of contemplation, Ernest was whisked into the counter where the store owner is located.

"This is Zanac, the store owner of this clothing shop." Blackbelly introduced Ernest.

The store owner was an older gentleman with gray hair and a splendid mustache. He wore a stylish scarf and mantle, and a rose brooch shone on his chest.

"My my it's an honor to have you in our humble store, Sir Ernest Gonzales, Leader of the U.N.S.P."

"The honor is mine." Ernest returned a bow.

The gentleman, Zanac, stared at Ernest intently, his eyes wandered all across his body as though savoring something.

"Sorry if I may be rude Sir Ernest but where in the world did you get these clothes?"

"Ah, this one? Let's say the answer to that question is a mystery for now."

"Mystery?"

"That's right." Ernest nodded with a smile across his face, "And the reason why it's called mystery is that no one has ever weaved something like this of quality so to get to the point, I want you to unravel the mystery by producing this kind of uniform."

"Really?" Zanac's eyes sparkled at his words, "I would very much love to unravel the mystery for you, Sir Ernest. But for me to unravel it, I'll need that clothes of yours."

"This one?" Ernest spread his arms, "Okay, let me get back to you in a minute." Ernest turned and faced Blackbelly, "You stay here, I'll be back right away."

As soon as he said that, Ernest whisked off the store and entered the carriage. There he opened his system and bought new sets of uniforms, for women and men. After that, he returned as fast as he could.

Ernest entered the store with a set of uniforms in his hands. Blackbelly's eyes widened, where did he get that clothes? In the carriage? He watched his memories of where he was in the carriage with Ernest. There are no sets of uniforms found. Did he hide it somewhere?

"Okay, these are the clothes that I'd love you to make. Also, I want you to create a banner." Ernest pulled out something from his coat and handed it to Zanac for him to see.

"Hmm…" Zanac perused the paper. "So you would want this banner black and a white circle in the middle?"

"Yes."

"And also this eagle and cross in the white circle?"

"Yes," Ernest confirmed.

"Understood, I will do my best to produce this. However...as much as I'd like to get on with the work, there's something that I need to tell you."

"Go on."

"Due to the lockdown of the city, our materials coming from the other cities are being blocked by the guards. They have just arrived earlier this day carrying wool. They said that they'll leave if the city gate is not opened until tomorrow."

Hearing that, Ernest clicked his tongue. It was one of the drawbacks of locking down the city. He wanted the news of his coup d'etat to not spread to other cities, yet. But this is also costing the city money. He may not be an economist but he tried and calculate how much money the city is losing...

...More than 70 gold coins per day. That's what the lockdown's costing their economy. 140 so far, and the meter keeps ticking.

"Okay, I'll repeal the order of city lockdown after my business with you." Ernest declared.

"Thank you very much, Sir Ernest. This will help not only me but the other businessmen who are struggling to survive due to the country's economy."

"You heard my speech right. I will fix this."

"And I was enamored by it," Zanac said.

"Okay let's get down to business." Ernest wore a serious face, "I want you to produce at least 200 of male's uniform and 50 for the female's uniform. Money is no problem, the U.N.S.P will be the one paying for this."

"And for the banner, I want it in different sizes that can support you know handheld flags, a banner that can be hung outside of the people's home, city walls, and mansion."

Zanac rubbed his hand at his bulk orders. "Sir, this will take time as we don't have that much manpower to complete it in a day."

"It doesn't need to be completed by tomorrow. If you are lacking manpower I suggest you coordinate with other clothing stores."

"Understood, Sir Ernest."

Ernest nodded his head and prepared to leave, Blackbelly followed suit. Outside the clothing store, Ernest glanced at the two-story houses and shops and imagined the banner being hung on their walls. It'll be a sight to see.

Ernest grabbed something from his coat pocket, it was an itinerary prepared by Sophia. His next destination will be Guilhem's workshop.

Ernest and Blackbelly got on the carriage and went to their next destination.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at Guilhem's workshop. The purpose of his coming here is to discuss the industrialization act in detail. Looking at his current workshop, it will be impossible to meet the demand the city will be needing for its grand renovation.

"Sir Ernest, you get here so early, what can I do for you?" Guilhem approached and asked.

"Ah. I would like to have a word with you in private. You know," Ernest gave him a coded glance.

Guilhem got his coded message. "Let's discuss it in my office."

"Blackbelly, wait for me here," Ernest said.

Inside Guilhem's office, Ernest immediately got to the point.

"As for the industrialization act, your current workshop won't do. We'll need copious amounts of steel. And with that, I'll have to provide you with a new workshop."

"Sir...are you doing what I think I'm thinking."

"Wrong," Ernest said.

"Eh?"

"Unless you got it right." Ernest tittered. "That's right, I will use my power again to provide for you. Remember I said before where I will be the provider of wisdom? Then that's just how it is. I'll create a steel mill and concrete plant."

"Steel mill and concrete plant?" He repeated another new word to add to his vocabulary.

Declaring that, Ernest opened his menu and headed to the facility tab, and looked for a steel mill and concrete plant. Scrolling down for five seconds, he finally found it.

[Steel Mill: 80,000 tyrant points.]

[Concrete Plant 65,000 tyrant points.]

[Current Balance: 360965 tyrant points.]

[Please confirm your purchases.]

Ernest was a little bit surprised after knowing the price of these two factories. Typically, they'd cost millions of dollars to create, and yet in his system, it's only cost five digits.

Without hesitation, Ernest bought it. However, when buying a facility, it comes with another interface.

A red holographic appeared before his eyes, the one you typically see in a game where it's possible to build something because there's already something on it.

He gazed up and saw just how massive the steel mill would be. It can't be built inside the city so he suggested.

He closed his system and asked Guilhem.

"Are there any places large enough to support you know...two massive facilities?"

"There is one near the mining camp, it has flatlands," Guilhem answered.

"Okay let's go there."

Another hour has passed and they arrived at the vast unused flat land. A perfect place to build the steel mill and concrete plant.

"A perfect place to demonstrate my power." Ernest turned to his heel and glanced at Guilhem and Blackbelly. "Remember when I said I'll be the provider? Well, I'll do just that." He paused for suspense. "Literally."

With a snap of his finger, the transaction he made earlier finished. Seconds later, a rumbling sound accompanied by a little earthquake was produced as something from the ground protruded a massive object. All the three of them were dumbstruck at the sight of something beyond impossible.

Ernest can't believe that he can create something like that from the ground. Guilhem and Blackbelly were dumbfounded at the sight of what seems to be the steel mill and concrete plant.

"Look! This is my power, I'm the destined savior of the Kingdom of Crentis!"

The two kneeled in front of him as if seeing a literal god.

"Lord Ernest!" They chanted.

"Nah, just call me like usual. It's weird."

"But sir…!"

"I said just call me like usual!!" Ernest shouted, the two gulped, terrified by his tone.

"Tomorrow, it'll be filled with people who will then work the next day tomorrow onwards. In the industrialization act, there's a seminar there about how to use this sort of machine et cetera et cetera. The reason why I showed you this is because you two are my trusted servants. Guilhem can learn how to use an object the moment they understand its mechanism and Blackbelly whose race is innate in construction."

"There's one race that is also good at construction, they are the Orcs."

"Oh, Orcs? I see, well for now the beastman would do. Do your best at work."

"Yes sir!"

Yeah I know. It's absurd right? Hehehe. Also to the silent readers reading my book, please give a review so that my book can gain more viewers. Come on guys, I know that you want to become a tyrant but what if someone also wants to become a tyrant but doesn't know how? See? So help me guys.
