The point is that if they just said this is the only money we have, we can’t afford to pay anymore, let us leave before our lease ends (so that he can put a new tenant in the apartment faster than he would normally be able to + get their „final“ money) there’s nothing nice about it, just trying to make it seem like he could take advantage of them here

I didn’t mean that he should cull every ambitious person in his organization, it was just worrying to me how little he even thinks about how to deal with subordinates that might grow stronger than him or even Rebell/try to take over. Highly ambitious ppl may be easy to control, but u should never assume that u‘re IN control of them at all times

Motivated and highly ambitious are two different things. Also, if it were to be in a company it would be a different thing, in such a live and death situation being overtaken by someone would mean death or at the very least being suppressed. I can do without that thx.
