Kami vs Krowler

POV: MC

Jaden's duel with Doctor Krowler went about the same as in the anime. I watched Jaden destroy Doctor Krowler's ancient gear golem with Elemental hero Flamewingman buffed by his skyscraper field spell. After giving a quick casual applause I got up from the bleachers and made my way down to the duel area.

Looking at Doctor Krowler's expression of complete rage and disbelief I wondered for a moment if I should go easy on the professor. Only for a moment though. As I stepped into my side of the duel area I called out to Doctor Krowler with my best concerned voice.

"Hey, are you still ok to duel professor? Cuz I can go easy on you if you want?"

Hearing my question Doctor Krowler's angry expression morphed into a mask of a professional smile as he spoke. However, I could still see the slight twitching of his left eyelid.

"There's no need for that Miss Kami, we can begin whenever you want."

Nodding my head in assent we began the duel.

Doctor Krowler: LP 4000

Miko Kami: LP 4000

After drawing my first five cards I smiled politely before asking.

"If it's all the same to you I'd like to go first professor. That wouldn't be a problem would it?"

Hearing my politely asked question Doctor Krowler smiled slightly as he nodded his assent. Seeing this I began my turn.

"I draw!"

I gave a quick look at the two pieces of Exodia already in my hand before I let an evil smile spread across my lips. Thankfully Doctor Krowler's view was covered by my cards. The smile grew wider as I saw the rest of the cards in my hand. Taking the card I just drew, I call out.

"First, I will play the spell card Pot of Greed, which lets me draw two more cards."

Giving a quick look at my two new draws. I smile at the Witch of the Black Forest and the third Exodia piece in my hand. Bringing my attention back to the duel I continue my turn.

"Then, I will then play Sangan in the attack position."

Sangan: Atk 1000 Def 600

"I will then set one card face down and end my turn!"

Doctor Krowler nodded in approval as he drew his card with a flourish.

"A good opening move, but then I expected that considering your sponsorship. That said I won't be going easy on you either! I play the spell card Confiscation!"

Before Krowler could continue his turn I called out.

"Not so fast! You activated my Trap card Magic Jammer! As I am sure you know it allows me to discard one card in my hand in order to negate the activation of one spell or trap card and destroy it!"

Sending my Waboku card to the graveyard, I watched Doctor Krowler's spell card shatter into shards of light as it was destroyed. Letting out a tisk of annoyance, Doctor Krowler continued his turn.

"Very well, I will then set cards face down and end my turn!"

I let a small frown appear on my lips as I noticed Krowler didn't use a heavy storm which means one of two things. Either he has yet to draw his heavy storm or those two face down cards are not Statues of the Wicked. In which case I will need to watch out for them. Regardless, it's my turn.

"I draw!"

I let out a boisterous laugh as I could not believe my luck! This apparently annoyed Doctor Krowler quite a bit as he spoke up with gritted teeth.

"What may I ask is so funny?"

Shaking my head in order to calm down I explained.

"Sorry professor, it seems like today is just not your lucky day as I summon the monster Witch of the Black Forest in attack position!"

Witch of the Black Forest: Atk 1100 Def 1200

"Then I will play the spell card Dark Hole! Sending all monsters on the field to the graveyard!"

Doctor Krowler looked at me with a confused expression as he hesitated before asking what I was sure the entire room was thinking.

"W-what!? I don't even have any monsters on my side of the field?! Why would you destroy your own monsters?!"

As I heard Doctor Krowler's question, I let a wide grin spread across my face as I explained myself.

"You see Doctor Krowler, I am something of a fan of Yugi Moto the king of games. I am expressly fond of his early years. I was actually inspired by his first duel against Seto Kaiba. So much so that I took inspiration from his grandpa's deck when building my own."

As I looked at the confused faces of Doctor Krowler and the rest of the room I let out a light chuckle before continuing.

"You see, my deck may not hold many monsters with ridiculous attack points like your Ancient Gear Golem. But it does need to."

Doctor Krowler's expression began to look slightly concerned as he asked the million life point question.

"Why is that?"

Grinning ear to ear I gave my answer.

"Because of the effects of both Witch of the Black Forest and Sangan I am able to choose one monster card from my deck that has less than 1500 defense points and another monster card with 1500 attack points and add both to my hand. Now I have all the pieces of my puzzle of victory!"

With that epic line I set down all five pieces of Exodia on my Duel Disk before continuing my speech.

"For I have in my hand all five pieces of the Unstoppable Exodia!"

Doctor Krowler and the rest of the audience let out a gasp of surprise as the massive projection of Exodia towers over the battlefield.

"Now Exodia, Obliterate!!!"
