POV: Jaden Yuki
I watched in slack jawed amazement as Miko Kami managed to actually summon the Unstoppable Exodia. Closing my mouth in order not to start drooling. Unconsciously I began to begin to vibrate with excitement at the thought of dueling Miko.
"Something is telling me this is gonna be one crazy year at Duel Academy!"
Next to me my New friend Cyrus just nodded dumbly at my comment. He seems to be still in shock. Looking at Bastion, he seems to be in deep thought. Probably trying to think of a way to stop Miko's Exodia. Man! I can't wait till I get to take a crack at dueling Miko.
Looking down at the stage, the girl in question seems to be walking up towards our group. Sure enough moments later I was once again seeing the smug smile on the mysterious girl's face as she sat down next to me. Not at all minding the massive amount of eyes on her.
You could almost hear a pin drop in the silent room. That was until I couldn't take it any more and began to speak.
"Man, I have so many questions! But first off I have to ask just who are you!?"
Miko let out a light chuckle before she turned to face me with a beaming smile and said.
"Well my name is Miko Kami but I am pretty sure that is not what you meant?"
Seeing me and my new friends nodding she continued.
"Well to make a long story short I have been a duelist since I was seven years old and saw a recording of the first duel of Yugi Muto vs Seto Kaiba. After that I spent multiple years and allowances to just collect my complete set of Exodia. I'll be honest, my very first version of my Exodia deck was garbage and I lost most times than not. It took me many years more till I managed to get my current deck up to snuff."
POV: Bastion Misawa
I stared intently at the incredible girl before me. For her to manage to summon the Unstoppable Exodia on her second turn was something that even the king of games was unable to do. I don't think it was just luck either. The way she destroyed her own monsters in order to get the last two pieces. No, she must have a multitude of ways to gather all five pieces of Exodia.
I am even more certain of my theory after hearing the origin of her current deck. Add on that she managed to get a higher score on the written exam than me and I am almost positive that even without her Exodia cards she would be a formidable duelist.
Unbeknownst to myself I let a small smile appear on my face. I think that I agree with Jaden Yuki. This promises to be one crazy year at Duel Academy.
POV: Alexis Rhodes
I watched Miko Kami chatting away with Jaden Yuki with a complicated expression. Thinking back to the moment Miko summoned Exodia by destroying her own monsters. I began to think about how I would do against her and I didn't like my chances.
However, that just means I am going to have to step up my game. Unconsciously I let a predatory smile begin to creep on to my face. Miko Kami you better watch out, because I'll be coming for you this year!
POV: ???
I watch the replay of Miss Kami summoning her Exodia cards once more. Grabbing the remote I pause the tape on the large holographic image of Exodia. Setting down the remote I peer intently at the screen before smiling.
"So Exodia's spirit has finally chosen a master. Miko Kami huh? I wonder if you are ready for the responsibility of holding such power."
Leaning back in my chair my mind wanders to the events sure to come this year. I give a brief glance at the image of Miko Kami on the screen. Grabbing the remote I turn off the TV and get up from my chair. Giving a quick glance at a locked locker style closet. A wide grin spread across my face.
"This year at the Academy promises to be even more eventful than I expected!"
With that I couldn't help myself. I began to kackle madly. Thankfully there is no one around to hear me. That is, not yet anyway.
