Heart’s Desire

Danny approached his mother as she and the other mothers were planning to take over... uh... stop the bullying...

"Mom" Danny called softly, causing his mom to turn to him

"Yes honey?"

"I'm planning to test out of high school" Danny spoke firmly, to display his seriousness

Maddie paused "yes but can you... I mean do you..."

"I know what you want to say mom, and yes I have the knowledge required to even get a masters in engineering" Danny paused "ever since THAT happened" he supplied

Maddie didn't need to think to know what that is, so she nodded "Ok dear, if you're sure" she then turned to the other occupants of the room "That doesn't mean we're stopping though, I'm still getting the council on this" she rose from her seat with her fist raised high "WHO'S WITH ME"

""HURAH"" Pam and Angela shouted

As they turned to Danny and Sam, eyes burning with passion, they responded with a weak, shy and honestly pathetic "hurrah"

The trio of overprotective moms sent approving thumbs up at the duo of cowed teens.

"Oh" Danny snapped his fingers as he remembered something important "Miss Manson" he called

"Yes Danny?" she responded an eyebrow raised

Danny stood straight "With your blessing, I'd like to take Sam out on a date tomorrow" he asked in a clear voice

"DANNY!" Sam squeaked

Pamela however, looked quite amused "and did you ask Sam what she thinks?"

"I did, and she said yes" Danny nodded

"I see, well then, it behoves me to warn you of physical injury if you hurt my daughter" Pam spoke in a mock regal tone

"MOM!" Sam squeaked again

"Oh, stop it Sam. You know it's what your father is supposed to do if he didn't run like a cowered" Pam explained

"DA... I mean, fine..." Sam turned with a blush as she spoke "it's just a date"

Danny turned from Sam to face Pam "don't listen to her. I fully intend to take Sam as my girlfriend"

Sam just groaned "Danny~ why are you doing this?"

Danny turned to face her and spoke, completely serious "cause moms know"

The mothers nodded "we do" Angela supplied

"Like how you had a crush on him since you were 9" Pam grinned

Sam just blushed and started walking towards the door "I am not talking to any of you"

Danny called after her "Wear something warm tomorrow, y'know, for the date" causing her to blush harder

"Sorry misses Manson, but it's too fun to tease her" he said with a silly grin causing Pam to giggle herself "I know, I better go drive her home"

"Drop me of at my place too, the boys took my car" Angela spoke

"Where did tucker go?" Maddie asked

"He had to get some new gizmo or something he remembered" Danny shrugged

The next evening, Danny was standing in front of the Manson home. He just knocked the door and can hear shuffling inside.

"Coming" called the muffled voice of Sam. A moment later the door swung open to show Sam in a cute, short purple dress with black sleeves. She had the usual makeup of black lipstick but add purple eye shadow. Her hair was released from its bindings and it appears to have a new addition in the form of bangs.

Danny thought it looked cute.

"You look cute" he told her

Sam blushed ever so slightly "I was going for beautiful myself, but thanks"

"You're fifteen Sam; you'll have a lot of time in the future to look beautiful" he spoke as they started walking towards the mall "for now you're cute"

Sam snorted "Correction: WE are fifteen" she pointed out

"Yeah but I have, like, 800 years of memories in my mind, all those thoughts and experiences gotta add up to something" he countered

This time Sam outright laughed "not when hormones are involved" she then paused "800?" she asked

"Yup" Danny nodded

"Like eight, zero, zero 800?" she asked again

"plus/minus 50 or so" Danny confirmed "Counted them myself"

"How?" she asked incredulously

Danny placed a hand on his chin in thought "well, the demon hunter lived till his sixties so add 60"

Sam nodded "ok"

"Then add 120 for the martial artist, at least that's when he stopped counting" she nodded "then 50s for the engineer" another nod "and then more than 500 for the mage"

Sam took a moment to add everything together "So the minimum amount is... 730?"

"Yup"

"..."

"Sam?" Danny asked concerned as Sam stopped walking "Are you ok?"

"And you remember all of it?" she turned to him, ignoring his question

Though Danny believed she didn't even hear the question.

"Yes, the mage developed the technique you are training now, so I remember everything" he lied, he can remember everything since he got his Mind stat to 100 the first time

"So, You remember being with other women?" she asked

Danny wasn't bothered as they resumed their walk "yes"

Sam looked thoughtful for a moment; Danny didn't interrupt as he wanted her to figure things out herself.

A moment later she asked "could you tell me about them?"

Danny smiled gently "Where to begin?" he asked rhetorically "Let's start with Cordelia Chase, she's basically the Paulina of the demon hunter's high school..."

The night went on as the two walked and talked.

They had a movie date at the mall and Danny was planning to make his move there.

It was night time, Danny and Sam just exited the mall, holding hands and simply talking.

"Oh look, the losers are procreating" spoke an incredibly annoying voice to his companions

Danny just sighed "What do you want Dash?"

"You got me in trouble loser, and I'm going to hurt you for it" the Jock and his friends suddenly stopped "Who's the babe?"

"Ugh" the verbalization of disgust sounded appropriate to the expression Sam had on

Danny just smirked "Let's go Sam" Danny started to walk away, only for one of Dash's friends to block their way.

Faster than anyone could respond, the Jock in question crumbled to the ground. The only indication of injury is the reddening of his jaw.

Danny turned to the rest and spoke coldly "the next guy to try to stop me will leave with a broken leg, and I think you need those to play"

Danny didn't wait for a response from the now cowed jocks and walked away, Sam's hand firmly in his.

After a few minutes Sam asked "are you ok?"

"Yeah, just having trouble dealing with idiots, I would rather deal with a brick wall" Danny grumbled. He was right to have everything recorded via Scarlet and a Ghost. More ammunition for the moms.

Sam snorted "yeah, sometimes I wish they ..." she was interrupted by Danny when he placed his hand on her mouth

"Never use the W word" he warned "you never know what could be listening"

Sam raised an eyebrow as he removed his hand "Mage?"

"Demon hunter" he corrected

"Smart little Half-ling aren't you?" came a smooth voice

It took only a moment before Ghost Danny was standing there "and who might you be?" he asked calmly as Sam took cover behind him

A female ghost appeared in front of them, rising from the ground. She looked beautiful, with long dark hair, voluptuous upper body and large breasts. She appears to be wearing a harem girl outfit.

"Desiree is the name, wishes is the game" she introduced herself

Danny frowned; she was supposed to show up much later... so how. Danny shook his head to focus on the now "one moment please" he asked the ghost and whispered to Sam who looked at him oddly before nodding.

Sam turned to the confused ghost and spoke "I wish you would stay here and answer all of THIS Danny's questions honestly until he makes his wish" she spoke as if reciting from something

"Your heart's desire is my command" Desiree answered and stood... floated there, her smile faltering as she waited for Danny to ask his questions.

And so Danny did "Are you a ghost?"

"Yes"

"What is your story?" he asked calmly

"I was betrayed" she scowled

"Explain"

"I was a member of the sultan's Harem, I had his heart. He promised me the world, until I was kicked out because of that wife of his" she spoke, anger lacing her words "now I grant people their wishes, but on my accord"

"Did the sultan want you out?" Danny asked

"N-no" she answered

"So he didn't actually betray you, he was simply a simp for his wife" Danny shrugged

"N-N- yes" she slumped "but he wasn't the only one" she defended

"Explain" he ordered again

"I gave other men their heart's desire, and they betrayed me" she growled "none of them are worth it"

"Were they ghosts?" Danny asked

"No"

"Then they would've died and left you at a loss anyways" Danny shrugged

"That's not the point" she shouted "the point is that I was..."

"Betrayed, I know" Danny nodded "but it's better to be betrayed by someone you haven't invested into than by a close friend"

Desiree slumped "You aren't as young as you seam are you?" she asked

Danny smiled "not even close" he placed his hand on his chin in thought before turning to Desiree "I wish that you don't have to fulfill the wishes you hear, but instead do so by choice" he smiled

"...w-why?" she asked, as tears swelled in her eyes

'Ghosts have tears?' Danny thought to himself before refocusing "I hate slavery" he spoke calmly "I hope you would try being a good ghost, maybe go to hospitals and cure children who wish not to be sick anymore, or protect the city women from bad men or anyone of the thousand things GOOD you can do" Danny shrugged

Desiree paused "you could've wished that from me" she pointed out

Danny shrugged "I hate slavery" he smiled at her as he turned back to his human form "I wish for some ice cream"

Desiree paused, it wasn't there. The compulsion wasn't there, she could still do it, but she didn't HAVE to. She turned to Danny and swooped down. Before he could react she pulled him into a deep kiss that curled his toes and her... wisp of ethereal matter?

"Hey" Sam protested "he's mine, go get your own"

Desiree released him with a giggle as she saw the dumb smile on Danny's face "C'mon now, you can't hog him all to yourself" she chided

Sam waved her hand in front of Danny's face as he was still out of it "what did you do to him?" she asked

Desiree thought for a second before answering "I AM a harem girl you know. I know things you wish you knew... there's an idea" she smirked as she turned to Sam

Sam felt her body stiffen "w-what?" she stuttered

"How about this, you agree to me being in this little... relationship, and I teach you all I know on making him look like that" she pointed at Danny

"Wha- what? But- its..." Sam was shocked, what are you supposed to say to that

"Look" Desiree placed a hand on Sam's shoulder "you are the girlfriend of a half-ghost, right?" Desiree asked and Sam nodded

"How old do you think a human lives?" Desiree asked again

"I don't know... a hundred years?" she replied, still agitated

"And how long does a ghost live?" she asked again

"... Forever" Sam's eyes widened

"No, but close" this time the voice was male

Both girls turned towards him "Danny" Sam called meekly

Desiree smirked as she spoke "we both know you want her as the wife, I'll take being a consort no problem" she outright laughed at Sam's indignant squawk when Danny nodded

"What do you think I'm dating you for?" he chuckled but the shook his head "unfortunately I don't do consorts, you want to join this, you join as a wife"

"DANNY!" Sam shouted indignantly

"Oh, don't look at me like that; I saw how you were checking her out" Danny rolled his eyes "and besides, I really want you to do what she did to me... to me"

Desiree clinged to Sam's arm looking up at the much shorter girl with big puppy eyes "Please~" she begged

Sam tried to resist, but eventually gave up "Fine... but I get his first" she warned

"YES" Desiree fist pumped in victory

"I have a harem" Danny grinned "a best friend Goth and a Harem girl Genie. What next, a hard rock ghost?"

Desiree snorted as she tried to stop her laughter causing Sam and Danny to turn to her

"you wanna tell us something Desiree?" asked Danny

"And ruin the surprise, not a chance" she laughed

Danny and Sam shared a look, then shrugged. They'll deal with it then.

Sam then looked towards Desiree "what are you going to tell your parents?" she asked

Danny looked at his newest girlfriend and shrugged "the truth"

Sam paused for a moment, the nodded "It'll do"
