Beach Training

"Right, you guys wanna see something cool?" Danny, pointedly ignoring the parents' antics, asked his friends

"Sure" they shrugged

Danny led Sam and Tucker down towards the lab basement, inside they found many, many high tech tools, and Jack carrying a green and silver ice box with circuitry all over it and a fishing rod similarly designed.

"Sorry kids, gotta run, really scared... I mean busy" he called as he ran past the group

The trio shared a shrug and followed Danny to a wooden red door with an island decal carved onto it. Sam and Tucker looked at the door, then Danny, then the door, then each other and finally shrugged.

"Nice door" they deadpanned

Ignoring them Danny continued "Thanks, but what's important is what's behind it" saying that, he opened the door and Sam and Tucker had to shield their eyes from the bright sunlight. It took them a moment more before they were assaulted by a breeze carrying a peculiar scent.

"The Sea?" asked Sam

"Did you create a portal to a private Island?" Tucker asked as he took a look at the other side of the door

Danny scoffed "as if, Guardian could create portals in like the first year of studying space magic, no. This" Danny pointed at the other side of the door "is a sub-dimension"

Sam and Tucker paused for a moment, and then asked "a what?"

"Basically, it's a dimension created by yours truly" he boasted. He didn't have anyone to boast to in a while... long, long time... he'll enjoy this

"DANNY, you can't go creating dimensions like that, what if you poke a hole in reality?" the comic expert chided

"Hey, I needed to assimilate the memories of 500 years, so I did what the mage did" he lied he had the door in his inventory "and besides, Scarlet was with me every step of the way" he huffed

Tucker then paled "how many defects did you make while learning?"

Danny shrugged "None, I have the memories of an expert, i know what I'm doing and I made one more" he smiled excitedly "I'll show it to you later, but for now, do you guys wanna go with me to a private island to test out my powers?"

The two friends again looked towards each other for familiarity and guidance on how to proceed, and again shrugged.

"I'll go get my swimsuit from home" Tucker called out as he ran up the stairs followed by Sam who was walking in a more sedated pace

Sam then turned towards Danny with a smirk "I'll need my sun-block and bikini. I'm sure you wouldn't mind helping me with putting it on" she finished with a wink not specifying whether she was talking about the sun-block or the bikini

Danny was able to pick his jaw of the floor several minutes after Sam was already gone "Damn hormones" he grumbled only to hear the familiar sound of giggling from his soul companion as a response.

It took thirty minutes for the group to reunite. By then Danny had a small shack made of what seems to be trees and vines twisting and turning to form the needed building.

Noticing their gaze, Danny smiled "Nature magic; spread a few seeds and chant Druid hymns with what you want in mind, easy"

The duo nodded and headed towards the shack to change. A few minutes later, Tucker joined Danny, who was sitting in a meditative state. Not wanting to bother his friend, he sat next to him on the warm sand of the white beach.

Danny took a deep breath and released his hold on his mind, turning to Tucker "You should learn at least the mind arts of magic, if for anything it's that you don't forget anything"

"Wait, I can learn to do that?" he pointed at the building

"Yeah, but I was thinking you'd go for a more techno mage rout" Danny explained

"I can do THAT?" Tucker's eyes would've bugged out if they weren't attached

"Tucker, you..." Danny was interrupted when he caught a glimpse of black on white in his peripheral vision. Turning towards it, he saw Sam, standing there, in a bikini... 'Damn Hormones'

Danny was brought out of his thoughts when an elbow hit him in the kidney "owe, hey" he complained only to see Tucker looking at him with judgmental eyes. Getting the message Danny turned to Sam and spoke "um... uh... y- you look nice"

Correction: tried to speak

Matching his blush Sam nodded "Thanks, you too"

"Back on track people, I want to see some ghost powers" Tucker burst them out of their bubble

"R-right, let's get to it then" Danny stammered as he went to stand in front of them

An hour later

"So to recap" Tucker started, getting nods he continued

"You have 'standard' ghost powers of flight, invisibility, intangibility and ectoplasm blasts, but you also have several hundred years of memories and you can teach us magic" he concluded "did I miss anything?"

"One other thing is that I can evolve, or so Scarlet say" Danny added

"Right, learn from other ghosts" Sam nodded

Danny nodded and the used his phone to send something to both Sam and Tucker "this is a copy of the mind training manual, read it, do it and no one can mind control you, you'll have eidetic memory and have better control on your emotions" he explained

"Um, Danny, there is only like... 20 pages" Sam countered

"If I write the book that has it, you'll get maybe 350 pages of pure boredom" Danny countered "the writer is a condescending prick from the middle ages, so instead I got you the important stuff. In there are the list of exercises, chants, examples and rituals needed to create a mind scape, the rest is moot" he lectured

"I don't know about you but I'm not reading 300 pages of old man talk" Tucker raised his hands in surrender

"350, plus, it's based on centuries of experience, you'll do fine" Danny waved them off

"What about you?" Sam asked

"I'm working with Scarlet on my own powers. I need to learn and control them before ghosts start showing up" Danny concluded as he turned to his Ghost Mode

People underestimate how fun it is to fly.

Xander won't make that mistake again. through the entire day, all he did was fly around the Island, sometimes he's invisible, sometimes he's intangible, but always having fun.

Around sunset time Xander decided to check his skills

[Ghost Mode]

Transform into your spirit form gaining Ghost like powers, increasing Spirit stat and increasing body stat based on Spirit stat

- Gain 10% increase in Body stat for every 100 Spirit stat point

- Gain 50% increase in Spirit stat

- Bonuses that aren't permanent can't trigger stat based skills and/or achievements

- Speed and manoeuvrability increased by level

[Intangibility]

You can become untouchable by anything

- No one can affect you and you can't affect the world

[Basic Invisibility_6 (44%]

You become invisible to the naked eye

- Can still be detected using other forms of detection

- become less detectable the higher this skill's level

"Some can be levelled up, some can't... scarlet?" Xander asked

[I don't know, but I think it's based on ability growth potential. Flight and invisibility can improve, while Ghost mode and Intangibility can't]

"Explains a lot" Xander nodded and, still airborne, headed towards the island side with his friends.

As Danny landed he found Sam and Tucker sitting in the basic lotus position with their eyes closed, so as the good friend he is, he waited. It is important to not interrupt the first few meditation sessions.

Soon enough Sam opened her eyes, releasing a deep breath. She feels amazing she noted "that was..."

"Enlightening" said Tucker from beside her, his voice deeper, calmer

Sam nodded "my mind feels cleared than ever and we barely finished half of the first exercise"

"Half?!" Tucker asked "I haven't gotten through a quarter" he exclaimed, all sign of the calm Tucker gone, replaced with indignation

"She has more potential towards magic, same as how you have more towards Tech" Danny interjected

Tucker turned to him "Right... at least I spent the day on a beach with my friends" he then grinned "a school day at that"

This got the trio grinning for a moment before Danny snapped his finger as if remembering something "well, about that, I have a date tomorrow, so I'm gonna be busy"

Tucker's eyes widened comically as he turned a worried look towards Sam, but was abruptly brought short when he saw her blush... he nodded sagely "I have three things to say"

"Yes?" Danny asked warily

"The first is..." he turned to Danny "you're dating one of my best friends, you hurt her, I cut you" he then turned to Sam "the second is the same applied to you" he pointed a finger at her and tried to appear as threatening as possible, which wasn't a lot "and last but not least FUCKING FINALLY" he released an exasperated sigh, sagging his shoulders in relief

Danny laughed at his friend's antics while Sam opted slapped his shoulder to hide her own amusement "C'mon" Danny called "let's change and see what chaos our parents gotten up to while we spent the day here
