I woke up to the radio announcement as I raised my hand before pressing the off button.
The night was as peaceful as I had hoped, and when I ate my breakfast at the diner in the morning, I felt the peace that I had long forgotten. I just hoped that it would last.
But who was I kidding, right?
Before Aya booked a room for us yesterday, she said that we could continue our journey wherever the road would take us as she would drive while I slept. However, she also knew that I had had a rough couple of years, and she thought it would be good if I could refresh up in a usual way.
Eat diner, read a book before retiring to bed early, and having a regular breakfast where I could savor the taste of what I was eating. Such a mindful friend I had made.
