Trap fit for the king

Sienna stood next to Mathyas, her eyes plastered on the door in hopeful expectation. She wished for Sarcos so much, but was worried too."Sarcos and Mathyas are up to something!" she thought.

Soon, Sarcos walked in easily as if he was at home." Give me my queen back, Mathyas," he glanced at him and Marath darkly.

"I don't think so!"Mathyas embraced Sienna tightly."She is mine now." he smiled possessively.

"She is my queen, she belongs to me !"Sarcos furrowed his brows.

"Not anymore!"Matyas chuckled."I like her and I will keep her forever." he said darkly.

Sienna felt as if they play a little theatre for Marath to show they hate each other!

"Welcome, Sarcos." Marath finally spoke."I did not see you from the day you burned my son's face. I promised to take what is dearest to you."Marath chuckled and pointed at Sienna. "And to kill you."Marath nodded seriously.

Mathyas looked at his father as a doting son."I like to make this more entertaining for you, father."He turned to Sarcos. "As your childhood best friend I will give you one chance little brother."

Mathyas pointed at crystal covered dome."If you can withstand the weapon your father has made, I will give you your queen back, if not I will keep her safe for you here, in my bed."Mathyas chuckled and kissed Sienna's cheek slowly. Sarcos bit his lips angrily.

Marath smiled in satisfaction. This was his big day!

"I agree to your condition."Sarcos said seriously."If I survive your weapon, you give me back my queen and the revenge between us is done and closed." he nodded his head.

"Sarcos, I love you, stay alive!"Sienna cried out and tried to pull away from Mathyas, but he held her really strongly!

"How can he be so strong suddenly when he called me heavy?" the thought flashed in Sienna's mind. Mathyas held her waist as an iron ring!

Marath looked at Sarcos's worried face and drank the feeling. He looked at struggling Sienna and smiled happily. Her struggles felt to his dark soul like music from the golden harp! Everything was going exactly as he played in his head millions of times for more than twenty years!

" We agree in full! You got back your queen and I satisfy my revenge if you will survive. So, let's see if you are stronger than your father."Marath smiled cruelly.

Mathyas pressed Sienna's waist painfully." Stop embarrassing yourself!" he hissed quietly to her ear.

"Why don't you just let me go." Sienna hissed back at him.

"Because we have a deal, as you heard. So wait patiently as a queen should. Don't you trust in your king? It is his job to fight for you. So calm down and watch or I will tie you up."Mathyas hissed seriously.

Sienna bit her lips and stopped struggling. She trusted in Sarcos! She saw she have no chance to fight against Mathyas at all! Sarcos was her only hope to get out!

Sarcos watched the struggling Sienna with quiet anger. It actually made their play even more believable, but he did not like to see her suffer! He noticed Mathyas was not as gentle with her as him and it enraged him a bit.

He stared thunders at Mathyas till he calmed Sienna down."Well, at least he knows how to talk to her."Sarcos noted a bit painfully in his mind because he could not hear what actually Mathyas was whispering to her! Sarcos noticed big tears going down Sienna's face. She wiped them with the back of her hands and smiled at him hopefully. She wanted to give him more strength to fight!

Mathyas held Sienna's waist tight next to him and turned to Sarcos."I always wanted to see how it works, don't you little brother? " he asked quietly.

"Sure!"Sarcos nodded.

"Don't worry, I will take good care of your queen." he ran his finger on Sienna's cheek provocatively..."She is so cute."

Sienna looked at Mathyas, "Please, stop this, I will do anything."

"The deal is agreed. You can't stop our revenge little queen," said Marath in satisfaction.

Sarcos looked at Sienna and smiled reassuringly. He looked determined and really handsome. Sienna felt her heart flutter as he looked at her! Sarcos went calmly inside the black crystal-covered dome and closed the door behind him on the heavy lock.

Marath noted the few servants to come in. They placed the big blue crystal on top of the crystal dome. The dome lit up in blue light as a glass theatre!

Sarcos stood in the blue light and felt as if his soul is shattering to pieces! Suddenly he saw his own Flaming Scorpion with a big sword! He looked exactly like him only covered in blue flames."You asked for your own death, silly man. You betrayed me and now you pay."The Flaming Scorpion attacked him viciously...Sarcos was fighting against himself in the deadly illusion game! The powerful crystal which powered the weapon really broke apart Sarcos from his Flaming Scorpion!

Sienna watched Sarcos worriedly, he looked as if fighting with an invisible enemy. The wounds appeared on his body from the thin air!"Sienna bit her lips painfully."It must be something really strong in there!"

Mathyas took Sienna closer to the crystal dome."You can watch how he fights." he said as if in a trance. He was fully immersed in the view inside of the dome because he could see the Flaming Scorpion as well!"If he loses, you will become my mate and stay here underground forever. You will be the mother of my children."He touched her curvy hips but still watched the fight. Sienna shivered and watched with her hands on the crystal glass. "Sarcos, Sarcos, please be ok, I love you." she pleaded quietly as if whispering to the wind, but Sarcos could not hear her!

Marath smiled happily, he could see the Flaming Scorpion as well! This was his big day. He looked at Sienna's beautiful and desperate face which glittered in the reflection of the crystals, "I can not decide if Sarcos's queen is beautifully desperate or desperately beautiful!" he noted to Mathyas and chuckled. He saw Sarcos fighting in the dome as an animal in the cage. It was a balm on his hurt ego.

Mathyas did not respond to his father, so Sienna glanced at Mathyas. He was watching a bit worriedly too. He breathe deeply and his jaws were clenched tight. Marath was watching happily. Sienna suddenly understood Mathyas did this for his father and Sarcos! Sarcos did it for Mathyas's father and for her! Sienna's heart clenched painfully. She watched that Sarcos was fighting fiercely, but he was covered in his own blood!

"The weapon melted his scorpion armour quite well, Mathyas."Marath smiled cruelly. "We have to congratulate Cosimo on his scientific achievements. He designed a brilliant weapon. A true marriage of illusion magic and deadly science."Marath noted approvingly.

"Cosimo? "Sienna whispered to Mathyas.

"Sarcos's father."Mathyas nodded."It was his idea. Sarcos is fighting his own Flaming scorpion, he is practically killing himself, but could not stop or the Flaming Scorpion will kill him!" he clenched his teeth.

Sienna bit her lips."Father makes a weapon to kill his son?" she whispered as in a bad dream.

Suddenly Sarcos's skin started to disappear in the thin air!

"Sarcos!"Sienna screamed and pressed her body against the crystal glass. She felt as if she is dying inside."No, Sarcos, no! Stop it, please, stop it." she shouted at Mathyas.

" I can't, it is sealed." Mathyas shook his head."It was his choice. Respect it and let him finish." he said a bit angrily between his clenched teeth.

Sienna watched as Sarcos keep fighting, his skin was gone and he looked like a muscle statue covered in armour! A bit like a scene from Ancient Egyptian mummy movies minus the bandages! Even the skin on his face was gone and his dark eyes looked really big. There was no Flaming Scorpion in them, just a single big flame!

Then his muscles and bones started to disappear too! They were dissolving into the thin air! In the end, just a strong white skeleton was fighting. Sienna did not understand how his bones even hold on together, there were no muscles left!

The bones were dissolving into the air slowly as if sparkly glitter dust blew into the wind.

Sienna held the glass and her heart was shattering to pieces. Suddenly the last bit of Sarcos's skeleton was gone. His armour with clothes fall on the floor empty and the heavy golden steel sword hit the floor with a loud ring. The quiet sound of death overcame the dome.

Sienna watched in disbelief."Sarcos, how could you lose? What happened? How is this even possible?" Sienna stared at his empty armour and a big sword lying on the crystal floor. Even all of Sarcos's bloodstains were gone. There was not a trace of him! Sienna's face was splattered at the crystal glass as she searched for any piece of Sarcos's body, but it was all gone!

Sienna felt immense pain in her heart. The tears gushed from her eyes uncontrollably and she felt as if her trembling legs could not stand anymore. She slid helplessly on the floor staring at Sarcos's clothes. She imagined he would open that door and come back to her...

"Sarcos, come back!"She whispered as she hold the cold crystal glass. But nothing happened. It was all quiet.

The light of the crystal dimmed and the dome was lit just dimly. However, it was still empty!

"Is done, he lost, "Mathyas shook his head ."Pitty, I did not want to kill him yet."He whispered quietly to himself, but Sienna heard it.

Marath clapped his hands loudly."The mighty Scorpion King is dead. My glorious revenge is done."He smiled satisfied.

Sienna still stared inside the crystal dome, sitting on the floor in deep disbelief. Mathyas bend over her a bit, also staring inside, but he could also see only armour, clothes and a sword!

"When you want a lot, you need to sacrifice a lot, but the outcome is still in the stars!"Mathyas sighed a bit shocked." Rest in peace little brother." he said quietly and touched the crystal glass. Then he turned to Sienna, but she did not see him thru her tears.

Marath got down from his decorated chair slowly with a big smile on his lips. He breathe deeply in a victory moment and then he crouched next to Sienna. He petted her head gently. He was quite surprised by the pleasant feeling of her silky golden hair, so he let his hand slide down her back."Don"t be sad!" Marath lifted Sienna's crying face."Sarcos was doing it for you. He died happy! In the fight as the true king should! Now is up to my son to keep his promise and keep you safe."He chuckled and went out.

Mathyas looked down at the broken Sienna, "I will give you seven days to mourn. After that I will not like to hear Sarcos's name again from you." he said coldly.
