Chapter 30 More and more alike as a couple.

During the meal, Madam Sheng asked Jian Yunxi and Ye Ling to sit on either side of her, while Sheng Junlie sat next to Ye Ling. The seating arrangement was quite interesting. It was unclear whether Madam Sheng did it intentionally or not, but she kept Sheng Junlie and Jian Yunxi far apart, and they had no chance to interact during the entire meal.

After dinner, everyone moved to the game room. Despite being a devout Buddhist, Madam Sheng was quite skilled at playing cards and often organized games with her family. She believed that playing mahjong could not only bring families closer together but also prevent dementia in old age.

Madam Sheng sat in the east position, and Ye Ling brought a cushion for her to lean on. Madam Sheng praised Ye Ling for her thoughtfulness and advised Sheng Junlie to appreciate her. Sheng Junlie then moved to sit next to Madam Sheng, making it easier to feed her cards and keep her happy.
