What do you Desire?

In a place where total darkness reign, cluster of lights can be seen grouped together in different sections. These lights pop-up and disappear without a trace. In a Particular group of bright lights, a particular light can be seen. It blinks in lower intensity yet never disappeared just like those normal lights.

This particular light watches those lights that surrounds it to asses what is happening to him. After a while, it starts to approach a light that appeared right next to it. Suddenly the two lights fought and merged into one brighter light.

The merged light brightened up in glee and devoured every lights next to it and created a disturbance to its surroundings. Once it saw that his section is almost in barren, It crosses borders and continued its devouring spree.

As it devours other lights next to it, a humanoid being can be seen arranging the different Body and Souls while sitting on his throne. It is moving his hands to clear the Souls of their memories and clense the Body to make it available to souls.

The humanoid being have a red skin, purtruted fangs, Indistinguishable face that changes every seconds, Disarranged shoulder length black hair with horns sticking out of its forehead, A pair of wings and a tail that have a spade shaped tip. Yes it is a devil, A devil that controls the realm of souls whether they are good or bad.

As the devil was looking at the souls below his throne, he suddenly frown and looked into his left. He stood up and teleported near the special soul that devours other souls.

"Interesting" He said as the soul shivers in fear. The soul tried to escape but the devil clutched his hand and everything stand still in front of him. The devil locked the space in front of him to stop the soul from escape from his grasp.

The devil touched the soul and he showed an amused smile. The devil said in a deep voice "This is the first time i am seeing a soul that doesn't explode by devouring other souls and his sane is still in there! What kind of being are you to be this special? Hmmm... lets see what you hide young man. Ohhh a human soul yet the aura it emits is so ancient. Your memories is ordinary too but your soul is different and special. Much more special than those gods and they can only dream to have this kind of soul. Hmmmm..... Lets see what you desire young man..... Hmmmm... Ohhh.... So that is the case HAHAHA!!!!!!"

The light glowed in different color as it shivers with the devil's touch and voice. The devil chuckles as he said "Interesting.... Interesting it is! No wonder those old fools keep on searching for different realms violating different agreements and contracts in their way HAHAHA. YOU'RE JUST HIDING ON THAT PLACE HAHAHA. Let me help you out then, but you will owe me a favor young man! A FAVOR THAT YOU CAN'T ESCAPE NO MATTER WHERE YOU HIDE HAHAHA. GO ON YOUNG MAN... ACHIEVE EVERY DESIRES YOU HAVE AND I WILL HELP YOU TO DEAL WITH THOSE OLD COOTS HAHAHA. GAIN STRENGTH AS FAST AS YOU CAN YOUNG MAN! I CAN'T PROTECT YOU FOREVER! GOOD LUCK @$&#?!+¥£ HAHAHA"

The devil shook his hand and a portal appeared in front of him. He threw the light inside it together with a Circular Golden object in it.

-Soul's POV before being thrown-

'Where am i? What am i doing here? What are those lights? Am i dead? If i am dead, is this heaven or hell?' These are the questions that i have in my mind as i am Figuring what is happening to me.

'Wait, there's no need to panic, remember that panic always come with a bad ending. I should remember what am i doing and analyze every information i have before i take some actions so that i can answer all of my questions as calmly as possible. *Inhale* *Exhale* Okay so first is to start in the beginning to see every information i have.

So i am an ordinary law abiding person that hates being in a pinch situation. I like excelling in every task i was given and if i ever fail in a task, i will always repeat it until i succeed. I know that success doesn't come in first try, it can be in your second, third or even your hundredth time.

Whenever i panic, I have this habit of taking a pause and analyze everything before taking some actions and create different game plans for different situations. I lived with my family in the Philippines. My siblings are all girls so yeah, I don't have to compete with my siblings in everything.

It is the most beautiful moments i have in my life but sadly they died when our house was caught on fire while we were sleeping. I am trapped together with my family in the house as we burn alive. I saw the burn into ashes as i cried all the time and shouted for help before blacking out.

I learned that i am the only survivor in my family when i woke up. I sustain different Burn degrees in my body that made me look like Deadpool and scares everyone whenever i approach them.

I always received different discrimination from my neighbors and friends because of my looks. i dropped highschool and moved on to my uncle's house to live with him and cope up with my family's death. My uncle is the only nice person to me and the only family that i consider. When i moved in my uncle's house i met my best friend, he is an Otaku and he showed me the world of anime.

Since that day, I'm always in front of my computer just to watch anime and read light novels and manga. The very first anime that i watched was Sankarea. It is about a pitiful zombie girl that wants to live like a normal person. She is the same replica of her mother and always took nude photos of Rea when she is a toddler to a highschool. She physically and emotionally abused by his father that is so obsessed with his late wife.

She wants to live like a normal person until she met the MC in an abandoned building in their neighborhood. The MC created a zombie potion that turns the girl into zombie. It is a good anime and it moved me because i have a somewhat similar situation with her. Instead of his father, i am an outcast of the society because of my full body injury, and made me cry for hours.

(A/N: yeah, watch it and read its manga if you want to learn more about that anime. its worth it guys hehehe)

I deliver pizza in the neighborhood as source of my income and to cope up with my underlining hobbies, when suddenly i was shot in my chest. I don't know who shot me but i know that on my way to the customer's location, a bank robbery was happening. I must have been hit by a stray bullet. Damnit! I should not have taken that route shown by that untrustworthy owner. I know we have Google or Waze to find a much simpler and shorter route but oh well, the did is done and i am dead. The problems that i should solve right now are Where am i, What are those lights next to me and Why do they cluster in different groups.'

I looked at my surrounding and sees the lights that surrounds me appear and disappear in my sight in Rhythm. Some lights are brighter than the other while some are so dim just like a small fire that is ready to die. As i observed them, i realize that i am one of those with dim lights. What do the intensity of the light stands for? I approached the light beside me with a weaker light than me and touched it. As i touched it, foreign memories starts flooding me.

I saw a man born in a rich family. He have every girl's dream to marry on a man, money, mascular body and fame, heck he even became a president. The only problem is that he lived in a family full of betrayals and manipulation. He never dreamed to enter politics but he must because that was what his family want.

He died without fulfilling his dream, it is finding a simple life with a lovable and caring wife. All the girls that he hooked up just wants his money and fame. He just wants a pure simple love without betrayals and manipulations. He died with a knife in his chest because of his enemy party in politics. They see him as a hindrance in their plans of "true change".

Damn, what a sad life for you man. You can't even live a carefree life and enjoy what life can give you.

As i am watching his memories, the other light becomes agitated and tried to devour me. I resisted with all my might and devoured him accidentally.

after devouring him, i suddenly felt pain as an another set of memory starts to ingrain in my mind. After the pain subsided, i learned all of his knowledge, be it minimal or brings big impact to his life. I am looking at this set of memories when suddenly realization hits me and made me excited.

So that means those lights are souls of others and if i devour them, i will learn everything they have? Interesting hehehe, but before that i prayed to that man's soul that i have absorbed 'Thank you for giving me every knowledge you have!'.

As i assess myself, i see that my light is shining brightly than last time and i felt much lighter than before. Hohoho, i like this feeling hehehe. i think i am going to be addicted to this hehehe. I WANT MORE!!!

I bolted to the lights near me and devoured them before moving into another. I sometimes devour some normal person and sometimes its from a famous persons or scientists. I enjoyed every knowledge they give me, be it their researches in animals, viruses and diseases, their sewing skills, hunting skills, fishing skills, fighting skills, acting skills and many more. Heck i even devoured a rapist's soul which disgusted me so much but who cares, he gaved me a knowledge about tracking and stalking skills which is good i guess?

As i am in my devouring spree, i saw that the lights near me starts to diminish in number so i moved to the other cluster. I felt an obstruction that hinders me from going outside but i still persisted for many hours and successfully forced my way out of it.

I am in glee about that and observed everything in this place. I saw that every cluster have different Membranes enveloping them and preventing everyone to go out. I roam this void and i saw small group of lights separated in those different clusters. I devoured one light that have the same light intensity as mine. After devouring him, i am shocked by the set of memories that i recieved.

The person that i devoured is someone i am familiar with. A person living in a fictional story created by others in earth. A person who is a genius in biology, anatomy, robotics and many more that almost destroyed Earth if not for the intervention of the Z Warriors. He is Dr. Gero from dragon ball series.

He is an antagonist in dragon ball that wants to kill Son Guko because he always destroys the red ribbon army. He created Cell and the Androids that can contend to them and almost killed the Z warriors and Earth.

Damn, this revelation shook me to my core. So that means this place not only have souls that died in earth but also souls of the other fantasy world or should i say anime world? Wait so that means anime world exist too? So that means this place is the meet up place for any souls before reincarnation or something? Damn, that's too much for me but who cares, lets devour others and see if i can absorb other people in other anime worlds hehehe'.

After devouring him, i learned all of Dr. Gero's knowledge in biology, anatomy, about the androids, cell and many more. This excites me more and resumed in my devouring spree.

In my devouring spree, i met some cannon fodder in the One Piece world, Fairy Tail world, Dragon Ball world and many more but the biggest haul i got was this three fictional characters. They are Netero from HunterxHunter, Aizen from Bleach and Seijuro Hiro from Rurounin Kenshin. I devoured their soul and learned many things from them including their knowledge about Reiryoku, Nen and their techniques.

If antagonist persons gives me a good haul, what's more with those good MC characters there hehehe. This excites me and want to devour more!

I continued in my devouring spree when suddenly a tall devil appeared in front of me and startled me greatly. This is the first time i'm seeing a devil in person. I can't distinguish his face because it changes every second but the aura that he emit scares me so much. Its like he can kill me or erase me in existence in any given time!

It spoke to me in a deep voice which i weirdly understand even though his mouth moves differently than the sound it said. I tried to escape but he stoped me by clutching his hand. He's too powerful, i'm going to die!.

I tried again to escape in any directions but i can't so i just look at him while shivering in fear. The man touched me and my shivering intensifies. Even though i am scared, i still listend to every words he says to gain every informations i need to know. the devil chuckles, he lifted me up and threw me in a portal.
