Chapter 7 - Paying Back

Evan opened his eyes the next day and saw his colleagues' worried eyes.

"Evan, are you okay?" one of his colleagues asked him.

Evan nodded. Suddenly he came to his senses. He looked around and realised he was in hospital.

Remembering about his father's operation Evan was about to stand up. But his colleagues stopped him.

"You don't need to worry Evan. Your father's operation is already complete." Evan looked at them in shock.

"How?" Evan's voice was trembling.

Another colleague. Who was beside him told him what happened in a voice

''When you were about to fall, don't know how chairman Williams reached there and stopped you from falling. We didn't even see him coming" He added in exclamation "Everyone one was surprised  . Even secretary Morris who reached behind the chairman looked surprised."

" You know.... Chairman Williams carried you and took you to hospital " His voice had slightest jealousy in it.

Evan who heard this looked at them in disbelief. It was hard for him to believe that the chairman carried him..

The person next to him said.

"Then secretary Morris came to office after some time. And inquired about what happened. We told him about your fathers condition."

"After Attending a call

Sir Morris told us to go to MM hospital and look after you. And also told us to inform you that your father's operation will be held in time and you don't need to worry".

Evan was even more surprised by learning that chairman Morris is the one who paid for his father's operation. After seeing his father in the hospital and confirming that his condition is stable., Was Evan able to believe everything? He felt heartfelt gratitude toward Williams.

After reminding his sister to call him anything happen. He left the hospital. He heard from one of his colleagues that the chairman will be in the branch office where Evan works.

Evan reached the office. After getting permission he entered the room. He saw a god-like figure sitting in front of the computer. Evan heard that their chairmans is very handsome. But this was his first time seeing him so close. Evan was in a daze. Suddenly Willliam looked at him . Williams' face showed displeasure for a moment but after seeing Evans face, don't know why that displeasure disappeared.

William looked at Evan.

"Sit". A magnificent voice echoed in the room. Which gave Evan shiver for a moment.

Evan who was unable to sit, how can he have the courage to sit in front of the legendary boss who Everyone respects .

He had heard a lot about his boss. Who took over DLW corporation 5 years ago. And just in 4 years he made this company , which was on the verge of collapsing , into one of the major corporations famous all over the world. Many new branches were formed and spread all over the world. From hospitals to entertainment, DLW corporation became one of the leading companies.

He managed all this alone. Become an undefeatable business emperor. Every worker in the company knows about him. He visited all the branches of his company once every one month. Travel through different countries. Even he stays in the company just for a moment. He will analyse every nook and corner . Not a single mistake can't be escaped from his eyes. Giving punishment or giving praise, he is generous. Because of this every employee looked up to him and was also scared of him.

He was also famous outside. A single dominant Alpha. Who is best at everything will easily become the target of many people's jealousy. Many people who envied him tried to accuse him and cause him trouble. They tried many legal and illegal method. But the final result was same. Nobody was able to even make a single scratch in his hair. No matter what they do. Not a single person was able to win. Some people who targeted him retreated own their own. Some people disappeared and some even faced a miserable end. But no one was unshakable.

Such a person was sitting in front of Evan. How could he, a lowly omega ,sit in front of him. Evan stood there. Fidgeting

But David didn't like that. He frowned.

"I don't like saying something twice."

After hearing this Evan sat there helplessly.

William looked at him with deep eyes.

"What the matter?"

After hearing this, Evan realised why he came here.

"I..I am here to convey my gratitude for helping my father." Evan glanced at Williams after realising that there are no particular changes in Williams face, he continued.

"I didn't know what to do in that situation. But thankfully the chairman helped me." William looked at Evan. He can see the sincerity in his words. His smile widened.

Before Williams could say anything, Evan added.

"I..I will definitely pay back the money you lent me." William was slightly surprised. He saw the determinants in the young guy's eyes.

"Oh!". He exclaimed. And asked curiously.

"Then how are you going to pay me back?" Williams' voice this time wasn't friendly.

Even before thinking. Evan said enthusiastically.

"I will pay back the money from my salary. You can deduct half of the salary." Evan said in confidence.

William's eyebrows narrowed.

"How can you pay back all the money just from half of your salary? Do you even know how many time it take you to fully pay back." His voice was doubtful but also there was a slight curiosity about how this guy would reply.

Evan was taken aback. He knows the amount borrowed from the company is not small. He also needs to pay back his debt. But for him his father's life is important. After a while he replied.

"It doesn't matter how many years or time it takes. I will definitely pay you back."

He knows that there is nothing like a free meal in this world. If someone gives something, you have to pay something in return. There is nothing like good will. So he doesn't like to owe something. So he will definitely pay back the money.

William saw the determination in this guy's face. He smiled. And took his phone and called someone. Evan didn't even glance at Williams. Don't know why he looked at Williams' eyes. His whole body will freeze. He thought it was because Williams was a dominant Alpha.

After the call over. Williams looked at Evan. Evan felt the gaze.

"I should remember you. I don't like someone going back on their words." Williams' voice was particularly serious. Evan felt a shiver in his bones. And he nodded his head.

Williams smiled in satisfaction.

Within ten minutes. Someone opened the door. It was Morris. He was carrying a document. Williams glanced at Morris. Morris got the signal. And put the document in front of Evan and said.

"You should read the document clearly."

Evan read the document clearly. And read it two more times. He didn't feel anything particularly wrong. After glancing at Williams expressionless face. Evan took the pen which was handed over by Morris. Then sighed his signature in the documents. After he gave the document to Morris.

"Now there's nothing. You can go." He heard Williams' voice. Evan got up from the seat and bowed his head and left the room with a sigh of relief.

After Evan left. Morris handed over the document to Williams. William looked at Evan's signature. And a corner of his mouth went up and formed a slight smile.
