Ch 70: A Fierce Battle
Emrys became extremely careful. He knew he could not afford to underestimate this beast at all.
"Roar!"
Emrys's action of avoiding its attack incited a fierce roar from the Scaled Beast. It bared its massive jaws, and a sinister red gleam flashed in its pupils. In a swift motion, the beast swung its colossal paw, delivering a powerful strike at Emrys.
Emrys jumped back a few times, thinking that he could successfully avoid this attack as well.
However, he still underestimated the beast. The beast's claw suddenly lit up with red energy, and then, a claw-shaped image manifested in the air before pressing down at Emrys.
"Puff!"
Emrys was surprised and wanted to avoid it, unfortunately, it was already too late. The attack landed directly on his chest, making him feel as if his chest was being ripped apart by a powerful external force.
