(Francis POV)
Lord Hadar looked so tired. Right, what kind of servant am I? He was like that because he's working hard for his people.
Deep inside, I was so happy to be involved in the creation of his national holiday.
I was against at first upon Lady Leona proposed it, but since our beloved ruler hadn't received a significant reward for his generosity and selflessness, I gladly joined forces with her.
When he was still a baby, I worried about his growth development. What kind of man he would be and which path should he take ― all of these questions often caused me to hesitate to love this child.
I had been watching him for almost three decades, and thankfully, he had never lost his sight in the right direction.
He showed us that there was hope for the world. There were solutions to solve the problems, and everything was limited and he demonstrated a proper way to fix it through his self-determination and hard work.
He treated everyone equally, but sometimes, he unwittingly hurt them with verbal abuse. But all of his words had a deep meaning, so everyone believed he often ridiculed them to show his mercy.
Despite his excuses to make them loathed him, everybody loved him. Because everyone truly believed he'll help the people in need without a condition.
Due to this personality, some rascals always used his kindness as a weapon against his administration. They always criticized his ideas and mocked his individuality.
The citizens of the nameless planet didn't give a shit about their words. They were all outsiders who didn't experience the hellish life.
Lord Hadar was still a child who had a bright future. All of us were ready to support him and we were rooting for his successful life.
He's truly his mother's son and the descendant of our Great Aurcus, the former virtuous ruler of this planet.
I held the emotions inside my body to uphold my standing as his personal butler. I didn't want to show any weakness in front of the public.
My Lord Hadar went to the congress with an angry face, but we all knew, he wanted to approve it.
He tried to wipe out his eyes, but some tears were still unshed.
'O, oh, Lord Hadar, even you tried to hide it, you're enjoying it. This Francis here is very proud,' I simpered.
Everyone gave him a round of applause after he signed it. Then, Lord Hadar went outside the supreme court without saying a word.
All of the citizens on the planet rejoiced in the good news.
(Peroni POV)
You disappointed me, Hadar. Not only you tried to restrict our lives, but also you dragged us down in these ridiculous requests.
You made us look like a fool. All the congressmen were really mad by what you did.
We didn't expect you to use the power of the people. You're a little piece of shit.
Why do you need to approve this? Why? All I can see here is nothing but selfishness.
"Prime Minister Flawkes, what do you think about this?" asked Judas, the Deputy Minister of Hadar's planet. He's the second in command after my position in the administration. "I, I have nothing to say. It is unwise to share our opinions in this situation right now," I said hesitantly.
Judas rubbed his chin and he read the content of the new law.
"This is getting out of hand. Don't you think everyone?" he said with a grave face.
The twelve congressmen shut their mouths with cold sweats. The atmosphere fell into silence for a short period.
Everyone was scared to express their opinions. Out of fear, their words would reach the ears of our ruler.
"I can tell you're mad, Lord Judas. But we should settle this discussion later in a safe place that no one but us could talk privately," Mauro suggested, the second congressman. He wore a white Hadarian-made Barong Tagalog.
"What do you think, Prime Minister?" inquired Judas. All of their attention turned at my position. I shook my head and showed a confident face. "Lord Mauro's advice is right. Exchanging of our opinions in this place is not safe and I'm afraid to say that our lives will be at stake because of red-tagging," I declared.
Everyone gulped upon hearing it, with the exemption of Lord Judas. He was carefully analyzing the situation.
"The role of the congress is to create a law for the betterment of our world, and they shall be the only one who should approve it, as well. No one is above the law even our Baron," said Judas, calmly.
"L, lord Judas, watch your words. Our master will hear it," Mauro shivered.
"Please be careful, Lord Judas. You don't know what will happen to you if you deliberately announced that in the public. Remember your place, sir. There are some eyes everywhere who are watching us inside," Murgia reminded, the third congressman.
"Damn it, our master is abusing his power. From the very start, he's messing with the law of nobility. Lord Judas is simply wanted to open our eyes to the truth. He's asking for our opinion to discuss this problem," Techno badgered, the fourth congressmen.
'Damn it, you even make our Great Techno hate you too,' I placed a hand on my forehead and heaved a sigh.
I had to do something before the other congressmen spoke an unnecessary word against him.
"Yea ―" the congressmen's words halted after I slammed a hand on the table.
"Silence!" I commanded with a loud voice. It echoed thrice before the sound diminished into nothing.
Everyone shut their mouth and sat down on their respective sits.
"I fully understand your feelings, my fellow noble officials. But remember this, we should avoid saying an unnecessary word that we will regret someday. Every word we shared could be used as a piece of evidence. Evidence of an act of treason against our ruler shall be bestowed upon you. If you don't want to make your families ended up growing fatherless, then don't say a word. Got it?" I concluded.
All of them exchanged glances and nodded in agreement.
"Thank you very much, Prime Minister. We will remember what you say," Mauro lowered his head and thanked me.
Everyone followed what he did and apologized.
But I sensed a terrible aura coming from Lord Judas. He looked dissatisfied at the end of our short discussion.
"Prime Minister, I hope you won't regret it," Lord Judas patted my shoulder and exited.
I gulped my saliva with cold sweat.
'What do you mean, Lord Judas?' I asked inside my mind.
(Hadar POV)
'This is embarrassing. I failed to hold my emotions. I cried too much because of sadness,' I covered my eyes and shed tears alone in my garden.
I really made sure first that I was alone.
'What the hell was wrong with these people?' I complained.
An Edsa-like Revolution happened before my eyes. Everyone was cheering up for one law.
Almost all of my citizens were up against my regime.
'More like, they are using their numbers to push this national holiday law!' I grimaced.
All of my efforts to stop them were futile.
The military betrayed me upon hearing their side, and all of the servants sided with them.
Not only that, my heart shattered into pieces when Leona and Francis joined their league.
I, I was very disappointed!
All of them created a movement for the approval of this fuckin' law - the declaration of my birthday as a national holiday!
"Are they out of their fuckin' mind?" I complained.
I couldn't help but sigh.
All of them wanted to use my birthday as an escape rope in their workdays.
'I can't believe this!' I clenched my teeth.
This was too sudden.
'What did I do wrong?' I asked myself.
I expected Francis to join the least, but I was completely wrong.
He's a capable, devoted, and supportive butler in the family, but he chose their side.
This kind of treacherous act was absolutely a terrible crime, and the worse punishment shall be rewarded to this man as provided by law.
'But I'm a man who never forgets to pay his debt,' I sighed.
Francis was the first servant who stayed with me and protected me when I was still a baby. That's why killing him was a terrible idea.
He looked like my father from the past, so my heart would break if something terrible happened to him.
'Francis is not a type of man who will betray me. He must be brainwash by someone,' I rubbed my chin and said inside my mind.
Therefore, I gave him a light punishment for his ignorance. Hah, he deserved it!
For Leona, I summoned her inside the office.
Then, she quickly apologized before I scolded her.
She didn't want to ruin my relationship with her.
I failed to say a word because of her cuteness!
'Damn it, this is unfair!'
She's a very important lover, my bad, I mean future wife.
Her sulked face was so cute. Every time she said her catchphrase, 'Ara~ara~', my heart stopped.
The plan to punish her disappeared from my mind without telling it.
'Aah, nevermind. She is the last person who will pull that scheme,' I simpered.
The vicious lord must maintain a devoted relationship with his first lover, one of the rules I must comply with.
'A man's library is a sort of his harem!'
Leona was the exceptional aide I ever had. Her beauty outstood all of the women here on my planet. Not to mention, she's a talented advisor, a reliable attendant, a supportive waifu, and a real woman of her kind, unlike my ex-wife.
'Good grief. I will slide this silly event for now. You won this round, people. But next time we face, I will be the sole winner. And if I win, Leona's chastity shall be mine, so just wait!' I declared.
Lord Hadar, go for it. You can do it.
Greetings, newcomers,
To all people who often give me their gemstones, I will shout out your names in next weekends.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
