Forced National Holiday

My eyebrows raised up after I watched the daily news report.

[The Great Lord Hadar announced the introduction of the Entertainment Industry! The opinions of the public are positive. The Congress finally approved his plan and now, our beloved Baron led the construction of the first company under his name. Praise the Lord for his greatness. All hail Hadar!]

Every citizen on the screen rose their arms to the brat's image like he's their living God who saved them from hellish life.

I smashed the television upon watching it.

'H, he did it again!'

Lord Hadar, the newly appointed Baron of this garbage planet.

The nameless nobody who transformed it into paradise like no other.

He's a rising tiger according to the Pulse Survey.

"This bastard Hadar, that brat made a new law without consulting his administration," I grimaced.

My veins on my forehead appeared after I read the news for the establishment of entertainment industries. This such action would make him even more popular!

I, Peroni Flawkes, the prime minister of his administration.

'W, why this bastard is wasting his money on these commoners? What an idiot!'

I grabbed a glass on the table and smashed it on the ground. Then, I stomped the remaining pieces multiple times to dust.

Hadar the brat was the stupidest man I had ever served.

All of my effort to preserve the dignity of this planet perished after he took power.

He's completely different from his former predecessors. Not only he cured the atmosphere, but also the disease in the society.

He quickly purged the criminals who were working under me. He's out of his mind!

Thankfully, there were a lot of corrupt government employees still lurking around and still doing their job properly. Bribing those bastards ain't easy, though.

The importation of all garbage from our customer was banned because of his fuckin' environmental law.

He even educated his people and gave them everything. What a scumbag!

'I, I cannot help but feel embarrassed to meet up with my cousin from other territories. They even call me an idiot for serving this brat. He's a disgrace to the noble society from their perspectives,' I placed a hand on my eyes and heaved a tired sigh.

If he won't even be stopped doing these nasty things, I had to step in before it's already too late. He would become a hindrance to my business here. That's why I made a decisive plan to end his term. But making the members of his administration joined the plot won't be easy.

"Oh, ho, just wait until you did something terrible against the nobles. Make a mistake brat. Just one, and everyone will hate you. This time, I can gather more allies to end this," I laughed.

(Leona POV)

This Leona here was very happy.

My baby lord grew up as benevolent as I dreamt of. He completely changed the world for his people, unlike his neighbors from other states.

He went to the different paths that favored the commoners. He treated them properly and equally.

All of his accomplishments made him lovable and famous on this planet. Everyone praised him as a hero, especially to me.

I prayed for the young child's health and safety. He's the special and unique ruler I had ever served thus far.

Lord Hadar often told me to enjoy this blissful life. That all of my past should be forgotten completely.

'Lord Hadar is right. I should move forward,' I grinned.

For the first time in my life, no one died in front of me because of my curse. But my beloved ruler reluctantly reminded me that it was a blessing.

'What a weird child,' I giggled.

But I started to question the effects of this curse if it was true or not. Why was Lord Hadar's body ain't experiencing anything inside his body? Why was he still alive?

'I, I don't understand,' I tilted my head on the side with a curious gaze.

I read his profile about his past and looked deeper into his character. But all of it was useless and failed to satisfy my needs.

He had zero attributes in the elements and he had no mana to use magic. All of this information made no sense. But I was certainly sure that there's something special about him.

I heaved a sigh upon my failure to find anything.

'Now, I think about it. Lord Hadar is acting weird whenever we're alone inside his office,' I raised my left eyebrows after I mentioned it.

The child always acted like a gentleman with a sweet tongue. He must be copying the movie stars in the 'telenovelas'.

'Don't worry, Lord Hadar. You're going to become a fine man for your woman. I will support you when you find her,' I simpered.

The telenovelas started to become a huge hit.

The TV shows and other dramas which based on his life were among the best shows ever made.

A lot of businessmen who rose up from the middle class to the upper class unhesitantly shared their money to support his projects.

All of them were very honor to serve him through financial supports. It was their only way to show their gratitude.

'Of course, I'm happy about hearing it.'

Thanks for the support of our beloved Lord.

The companies manufactured their first televisions, radios, and other electronic assets. The tax collection rapidly increased out of our calculation. With this wonderful result, we slowly paid off our external debt and controlled the inflation properly.

The citizens rejoiced after he signed a decree of public wireless internet. Now, everybody was finally free to access and connect with everyone around the globe.

Lord Hadar explained to me that he only created the law after he failed to find a computer shop with internet access, so he made an acceptable excuse to get his congress' approval.

He adamantly denied that he did it for the people.

But Leona here won't be easily deceived. He's a generous man with a timid personality.

'He's truly a virtuous lord,' I covered my mouth and giggled.

The introduction of the internet had a positive and negative impact on his administration. There was a high chance for his enemies to use it against him.

That's why I added some adjustments and sneaked some policies without his consent such as 'Cybercrime Law,' 'Red-tagging' and 'Deportation of Heretics Act.'

'I won't let the bad people like my uncle rise up and ruin his life. Anyone who criticizes or mocks his name shall die without a question.'

I even added in the law, 'Militarism for Criticizers.'

'If someone dares to tell him he's a coward in case of war, then we will trace his location and force him to join the army. Then, we will send him to the battleground as a member of expeditionary forces. All of the future opposing keyboard warriors shall be punished if they did something terrible. No one shall escape from this law. No one including the nobles,' I declared.

But, let's take it aside for now.

Everyone celebrated his first declaration of the non-working holiday. Due to this wonderful news, everybody gained a spare time to be with their families.

'But still, I'm not satisfied with one holiday. There should be something more important to celebrate other than this,' I shook my head and made a decision.

I asked Sir Francis for his opinion. It took several hours before we finally got an idea.

We went to the congress and send a proposal. Of course, the congress was opposed at first, but upon hearing the positive response of the masses, they adamantly approved it.

We proposed a law to make his birthday a national day, as a sign of our gratitude to the hero.

'Why we didn't tell this first to our Lord? That's because he will never approve of this idea. He will never let this law slide into congress and pass it. But he will fail eventually.'

"Ara~Ara~, Lord Hadar's birthday shall be one of the symbols of his reign,"

'Why do you think? It's simple. All of his citizens will rally to push its approval. Oh, silly me. I can't help but imagine his cute reaction,' I beamed.

Likewise, our beloved ruler reacted so negatively.

"What the hell is wrong with you people? Why do you propose to declare my birthday as a national holiday? Who the hell propose this? Who? Answer me. Goddamn it. Call the congress, and set a meeting. I'm going to bust my way there if they refuse," Lord Hadar complained as he dressed himself to meet them.

'Oh, Lord Hadar. You're so cute. Looking at your eyes, you're very happy about the good news. I'm very sure of that,' I placed a hand on my cheeks and simpered.

Thankfully, no one revealed the truth. Lord Hadar, please accept our gift of gratitude for your efforts.

Despite his presence and his refusal to sign it, the power of the mass prevailed over his own judgment. With no one beside him that agreed and felt powerless, he signed the law with a smiling face.

Lord Hadar trembled with cold sweat, and his eyes shed in tears upon his approval.

'He must be really happy! I'm glad'

The administration of Lord Hadar finally declared his birthday as the second national holiday.
