Asher's jaw dropped and his eyes widened as he realized the light was coming from Persea's. He was speechless as he watched the light become brighter and brighter like a star and suddenly Asher's screen turned completely white.
'You have completed the mission: Persea's power.
'You have earned 1500 Exp.
'You have earned 500 gold coins, 2x fairy shoes, 3x bombs.
'Persea joins the party'
Slowly, the screen returned to normal, showing Persea with her new look, especially on her wings. The delicate carvings that formed beautiful patterns emitted blue light and looked extremely beautiful, mesmerizing everyone who saw them.
"Such beautiful wings, Persea." Asher was instantly stunned, his eyes unable to look away from Persea's new wings.
"Thank you, Asher, Chronos. This is all because of your help too. I can return like this." The smiling expression on her face radiated endless happiness.
However, it seemed that their happiness was only temporary. Not long after, an explosion was heard quite strongly from outside the Titanoboa cave. They finally decided to exit the cave, to see where the source of the explosion was coming from.
"Wait, my God! It's coming from the same direction as Altaria's village. Damn it, we need to get back as soon as possible." Asher's face tightened, showing a glimpse of fear in his mind.
"But, we can't, Ash. It's quite a distance from Altaria village. We can't make it in time." Chronos shook his head, a resigned expression on his face.
"Wait, we can do it." Persea snapped her fingers. "You two, gather around me. I will take you to Altaria's village as soon as possible." She tugged on both their sleeves, a serious look on her face.
"Huh? You're not joking are you?" Chronos raised his eyebrows, a confused look on his face.
Persea took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "Just trust me, okay."
Both Asher and Chronos nodded their heads, following the blue fairy's directions. Persea then slowly circled the two of them, forming a small circle, and began to chant a strange spell from her mouth.
"Tilemetaforás!"
Instantly, a bright blue light emerged from the ground, following Persea's shape. The light slowly rose, covering Asher and Chronos until it formed a cocoon-like ball, and in no time, they arrived at the entrance of Altaria's village.
"Now we've arrived." Persea smiled, showing satisfaction on her face.
'Oh my! What's going on? "Chronos furrowed his brow. "Ugh, Shit, I suddenly feel sick to my stomach." He continued to hold his stomach, and the look on Chronos' face tightened.
"'Same. I also feel like my head is spinning right now." Asher continued to look down, his face looking pale.
But his nausea and dizziness soon disappeared as they saw the flames covering part of Altaria village, leaving only the ruins of Altaria village buildings. What exactly had happened? Where were the fairy elder and other fairies? Were they all dead? These thoughts kept popping up in Asher's mind, leaving him speechless as he watched the flames continue to devour whatever was left.
"Oh my, no way." Persea shook her head, her lips trembling. "But... but .... how could it be." Her voice sounded weak.
"Ash, I feel we should check inside the village. Maybe there are still fairies who need our help."
A feeling of doubt immediately arose in Asher's mind. He found it impossible that there were any fairies left, however, he tried to dismiss his negative feelings and chose to listen to Chronos' words.
They rapidly fast-tracked their steps, entering the village of Altaria. However, the flames were getting bigger, making it difficult for them to go any further. Without delay, Persea immediately threw her water sphere and began to put out the flames one by one.
"I'll try to put out the fires around here. Hurry up, you guys go inside there might still be fairies left." Persea began to chant her spell, a serious look on her face.
The two of them rushed into the village, trying to find the remaining fairies. However, after a few minutes of searching, there was no sign of fairies at all in front of them. A sense of disappointment immediately appeared in Asher's mind, it felt like their search was in vain.
"Wait, Ash, do you see it? There's something over there." Chronos patted Asher's shoulder, looking towards the pile of wood that suddenly moved by itself. "Let's go check it out." A look of tension crossed his face.
Both of them quickened their pace towards the woodpile. Quickly removing the woodpile until they saw the fairy lying weakly beneath it, Asher and Chronos mindlessly began to examine it.
"Oh no! This is the fairy elder with the scarlet hat. We need to rescue her immediately." Asher rounded his eyes, his shoulders tense.
The two of them quickly carried the fairy elder out of the place. Once it was safe enough, Asher placed the fairy elder on the ground, then cast a healing spell, trying to heal the fairy elder's injuries until finally the fairy elder slowly regained consciousness.
"Huh? Where am I?" The fairy elder's brows furrowed, a puzzled look on his face.
"Fairy elder, fortunately, you're still alive." Asher sighed, relief showing on his face. "What exactly happened, where are the other fairies?" The curious look on Asher's face grew.
"The Orc King managed to destroy Altaria's village and took the other fairies elsewhere. "The fairy elder's voice sounded so weak and trembling. "They will target another village, you must hurry to warn them." His jaw looked stiff, showing fear clearly.
Not long after, the fairy elder lost consciousness and her body slowly turned blue. Asher's face instantly stiffened, he had no idea what was going on. He kept chanting his healing spells over and over again, but nothing happened. Strange. Why were Asher's healing spells not working at all?
"Damn, why does it have to be like this?" Chronos shook his head. "Ash, try casting your healing spell one more time." Chronos' face tightened, disbelief evident on his face.
" I have, but my spell is not working Chronos. There's something strange about the fairy elder's condition." Asher's voice sounded panicked, his hands began to tremble.
Instantly the suspense enveloped the two of them, watching the fairy elder's body continue to turn blue. Who knew what was happening to him, but it was clear that they had to act quickly before it was too late.
This is bad! After Persea gets her power another problem comes. The fairy elder is dying and they need to bring her to a safe place before she can die. But, will they manage to do it?
