Calamity

Slowly, he opened the box in front of him and found that the crying sound belonged to Rufina. She was curled up in the box and kept crying incessantly like a child. Strange, what exactly happened to her?

"Rufina? What's wrong with you?" Asher furrowed his brows, a look of confusion on his face.

Rufina slowly looked back at Asher followed by her red and swollen eyes. "I... I..."

The thunder sound was heard again, making Rufina scream so loud and tears flow down her cheeks once more. Seeing her facial gesture, Asher could only remain silent and not say anything at all. To be honest, Asher did not expect that underneath Rufina's firm and dignified nature, she also had a frail side to her. 

"Rufina, Listen. Just take a breath and calm yourself. Everything will be fine." Asher slowly extended his hand, trying to pull Rufina out of this box. "Trust me, we're safe in here, just relax and there is nothing for you to be afraid of."
