Within an open field provided by the Academy for the Recruiters from both the kingdom's Army and the various acknowledged Guilds within Verida, the kingdom of Flowers.

Evelyn with a confident stride and amusement sparkling in her eyes, waded through the crowd of eager Graduates and Visitors drawn by the event held every year in the Royal Academy, a place where prodigies individuals and royalty alike are taught and cultivated to better pursue their chosen fields.

as the popular saying goes amongst the circles of nobility within Verida, "Even a commoner Can become A highly sought after individual if he or she graduated from the royal Academy."

A snide remark Evelyn, understood the small barb within that analogy saying "that you're not within our sights if you haven't attended the academy" but at least there is some truth within it despite its source.

the royal academy of Verida manages to churn out highly sought after talents every year and most of them even have commoner origins much to the chagrin of the high Born, a faction of the nobility set in the ways of the old within the most progressive kingdom in the continent of Fenrys..

Evelyn had asked Dean what his thoughts were about the errant faction in the past but the young man only stated that he found their supposed cause "distasteful" and it took Evelyn almost everything she had to stop Goldie from continuing his loud ranting since they were at that time in public.

Evelyn couldn't help but sweat when she recalled how overbearing the young man could get at times. it was one of the few topics that really sets the usually calm Dean off.

[what was that Quote again?... stepping on a Landmine?.. hm...]

it is a fitting analogy for the topic...

[...but I don't think there is such a saying that exist Verida... Or even in other Nations for that matter...]

Evelyn felt somewhat confused at her own thoughts.

shrugging her shoulders, Evelyn dismissed that peculiar instance and continued her way to her destination where the Recruiters of the Air Division of Verida have set up shop, taking a lion's share of the venue since most models of airships require a runway of sorts to take to the skies.

luckily the vast open field used for cavalry training behind the Academy can accommodate the demands of both the Military and the various medium to large Guilds acknowledged by the crown.

at one point in time Evelyn thought of joining an Adventurer's guild after graduating but meeting Dean managed to change her mind, albeit in a completely wrong field...

[who would have thought a knight aspirant would manage to influence someone to become an airman?...]

Evelyn couldn't help but chuckle how silly it was...

[I wonder if Dean is doing fine on his end?...]

picturing the usually proud Youth being treated like an army grunt soured her mood a little but Evelyn believed he'll do just fine or great Even...

he's an Astley after all.

Arriving in front of one of the large nondescript tents that littered the grassy field. Evelyn couldn't help but show a pleasant smile since she's so close to her dream now. All she needed to do was enter and enlist.

Entering inside through the open flap of the tent Evelyn seems to be the first one to arrive since it looks like the recruitment staff were just simply lounging around except for a young man who was busy sifting through a huge stack of documents on his desk in a rather Skillful way.

She scanned the man that couldn't be in his late twenties carefully and all she could think of was.

[He's very Dean like... ]

He appeared to be quite studious with neatly cropped midnight blue hair and grey eyes, adding his serious expression and a pair of Glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose. The man gave off a very scholarly air despite his movements and mannerism while skillfully handling the documents that showed that he was no slouch.

[he's probably my senior so I need to make a good impression.]

Evelyn felt slightly nervous but being the headstrong girl she is, the brunette stamped down her insecurities and walked up to the man. upon getting close enough to see his features quite clearly Evelyn couldn't help but covertly appraised him as an above average Ikemen.

[I should have waited until someone else manned their table...] she thought somewhat bitterly.

She's a perfectly healthy woman after all despite her fondness for Dean...

Hiding her true feelings behind a mask of sincerity and slight excitement she usually donned although a little stiffer than usual.

Evelyn waited patiently in front of his desk but the man hadn't even deem to raise his eyes to acknowledge the brunette, still busying himself with the rows of parchment he was skillfully juggling about. a constant staccato of Thumping of His silver stamp against the Papyrus Paper.

A few minutes ticked by but the man had still yet to notice the now aggrieved Evelyn whose starting to think she's being Ignored by the handso- I mean annoying man..

'he should have realized by now and yet...' she frowned internally while keeping her growing anger in check less she ruins her chance of enlisting.

Feeling that she needed to use a more direct approach to get his attention Evelyn rapped her fingers and knocked it against the oakwood desk to get the attention of the seemingly oblivious man but before she could let out a single word....

"Be. Quiet."

'eh?'

A cold voice cause Evelyn's mind to blank out.

Sorry for the wait. Here's the next chapter been a hell of a month and unfortunately my updates will be erratic at best since I'll be attending a review center for the next four months.

Anyway enjoy.
