39. The Race 2

I stood at the finishing line for a while and looked at the finishing like. It took them 5 minutes to breakthrough that. They were probably conserving stamina for the further parts of the tournament. Bakugo looked particularly pissed.

I projected a massive blue contract up in the air that did not have facial features but looked like my upper body with my special Gi. Looking at the massive construct, everyone focused their attention on it. Trying to figure out what it will do. I had just fucked the whole race already. Now they wanted to see what I will do more.

My construct lifted its hand slowly in a dramatic fashion, winds picking up around the hand. The hairs on my contract swayed. My construct put its right hand on the right side of its face. Clenched its hand into a fist and turned the hand. Showing the back side of the hand.

Then,

It flipped the Middle-Finger.

Looking at that everyone blanked. All that exaggeration and that massive construct just flipped them off. All the participants just fumed with utter rage and started running without giving any heed to their well being. Now this was getting Personal.

I calmly turned around and walked to the white finishing ribbon. Slowly and dramatically taking the ribbon in hand. I ripped from the Middle. High up in the air, appeared Words.

I AM DIFFERENT

That ended with a Solar flare blinding everyone. The Participants crashed into each other like F1 cars. They are cannon fodder anyway.

These words just fuelled the rage in everyone even more. I slowly walked past the finish line and onto the resting area. Present Mic and everyone came out of their stupor looking at that and Present Mic gave a perfunctory yell. Probably too tired from all that I did today. " We have our winner for the race: Vegeta!! Give a round of applause!".

Everyone liked my antics and the special effects. They got to see something different this time. Totally different from the previous sports festivals. They gave loud cheers. People were probably enjoying the misery of the different contestants.

"So...This is What it feels like". I said that underneath my breath with a smirk.

Somewhere else among the audience---

Aiko looked at everything that Vegeta did. She was gnashing her teeth. She didn't like the fact that her son was behaving like this. She was grabbing onto Jun's arm so tightly that it was starting to go purple from all that pressure and no blood circulation.

Jun, the poor guy was taking all that pain and torture without squeak. He was afraid, no Super afraid. He could look from her face that she was enrage beyond redemption. "HAHAHAHA". She was so enraged that she started laughing. At that moment he knew Vegeta fucked up.

'I just need to keep quiet so that her doesn't indirectly fall on me'. Jun thought and just looked ahead with a stoic face. Withstanding all the pain and my guy didn't make a squeak.

Nezu was looking at Vegeta with a twitching eye. He was wondering now. What has gotten into Vegeta. When Vegeta met them, He didn't look like the type to prank people or do anything foolish. He talked arrogantly and to the point. Not giving them any chance to speak.

He was truly astonished by this behaviour. Nezu was wondering if this was good idea to hold this Sports Festival. Things were going out of hand too much, too fast because of Vegeta. They have barely started the first part of the Sports Festival and it already looked like the participants are going to explode from the built up rage.'

He felt that Vegeta was proud, arrogant and a prankster. Not the qualities you would show in a spy. This lessened his paranoia on Vegeta being the Spy because Spies needs to be discreet but Vegeta was openly gaining publicity and attention. This was not something a Spy would do. This bought Nezu back to square one in his investigations.

AllMight looked on with pity in his eyes for the students participating against Vegeta. What he was doing, was a bit much in his eyes. But he could do nothing to stop this. The participants were already competing and now the show couldn't be stopped. 'Midoriya Shounen, I hope you can overcome this'. AllMight was truly worried about his successor.

Somewhere else, Tomura was having a blast looking at the faces filled with rage on the participants. He thought that Vegeta wasn't as hateful anymore. Kurogiri on the side looking at Vegeta behaviour in the screen thought that they could potentially make him their ally.

I looked at the running participants and saw that Bakugo was flying higher than the robot debris with his explosions. Todoroki was cutting through the debris with his ice in a fast pace. Momo had a jetpack on her lower back and she was using that to fly with a high speed.

It looked like Midoriya still used his Canon strategy of taking a piece of metal debris and started running with that in hand. Kirishima used his hardened body and ran through the debris in parkour style. Everyone was using ingenuity to get across this problems. Robots were coming in their way but they were being dealt with efficiently due to everyone's rage.

When they crossed that part. Next came my walls and the ropes. Bakugo and Todoroki just blasted giant holes through it with their quirks. 'ahh, my hard work'. I thought with mock sadness. Everyone started running through these holes following behind them.

The rest followed like canon on how they acted while crossing the ropes but Bakugo and Toroki did not destroy the wall this time and just crossed it. Probably realising that it will give them an edge over others.

When the mine field came, Bakugo and Todoroki picked up more speed. Momo fired her jetpacks at full blast trying to at least gain the second place. Midoriya was using full cowling at 5% and umped above the wall. He developed earlier than canon because of the pressure he felt from Vegeta.

Bakugo, Todoroki, Momo and Midoriya were neck to neck in this just as they were about to cross the finish line Toru showed herself and crossed it before them. I had picked her up and she turned totally invisible. No one said the you cannot help anyone. She was going along with my prank.

This enraged Bakugo to no end. He was shouting curse like a madman. Momo came third feeling a bit down. I could see that on her face. Todoroki came fourth, Bakugo fifth, Midoriya sixth and the rest were history.

I just got near to Momo and pat her on the head telling her all that I had planned and did. "I am proud of you, You defeated people who are considered strongest after me in the class". I said to her with a small and encouraging smile. She gave me a smile of her own in return. I could see that she was happy from my compliment. Then Toru and Momo just started chatting with each other, waiting for the next announcement.
