Jules has o problems. Ever since she woke up in the forest on her Prom night, she has sleepwalked and woken up in the middle of the same forest with a knife in her hand and no recollection of what occurred the night before. Her second problem is the intense desire she has for Rowan Cross. Rowan Cross has o problems. His Halo Master, Tristan wants him to investigate the disappearance of supernatural students who have gone missing on their college campus, and he wants Jules with every fiber of his being. Chapter 11: Tell

Jules

Morning arrives quickly, with me feeling the effects of my late night. I couldn’t stop thinking about the kiss. It felt so good to be in his arms. A knock on the door startles me from my sleep, almost making me fall out of Rowan’s bed. I glare at the door as I rub my tired eyes and push my hair back.

I look at the couch, but Rowan’s not there. Yet, I can hear the sound of running water. He must be taking a shower.

Not knowing what else to do, I open the door.

To my horror, there’s a gorgeous woman standing on the other side of the door. She’s wearing a tight crop top and very short cutoff shorts. I don’t even have time to react before she steps inside and searches the room. “Who are you, and where’s Rowan?”

I don’t know how to answer her. All I can do is observe as she searches the room.

“Are you deaf? Where’s Rowan?” She states angrily.

“I…um…I’m Jules. Rowan is in the shower. Who are you?”
