Julki the Evloved

It took the group a handful of hours to make it to Castle Morn. Half way there Lovo had to ask Gorgo to carry him. His Sunlight Weakness reached 80%! Sheva thought for a moment about attacking him while he was weak, but decided against it. Even if he was a vampire he did no harm to her and even offered her food and rest. She wasn't going to be an ingrate.

The group was surprised at the state of the castle Lovo lived at. It looked well build but ruined at the same time. Even after gods know how many years passed the walls were still standing. The only issue was more where it looked like it was laid sieged.

As they crossed into the courtyard it looked larger then it seemed from the outside. Even though nature tried to take the castle back Lovo was surprised on how much the Goblins did.

"So where is everyone" Lovo asked Kipi?

"They said they would hide in the castle Lord Lovo. When your skeleton Grimmal died we thought something happened to you as well. They hid in the castle itself while we went out and looked for you."

Lovo blushed slightly.

"Haha. Thank you. Glad you are all okay as well."

Lovo turned to the everyone else.

"I apologize, but I must go off and get some rest. The sun has hurt me and I will be in my chambers. Kipi and Gega can introduce you to Toma. He can get you all settled. I will come back out during night."

He turned and left abruptly. The Druids and Gorgo and the adventurers waited and slowly dropped their bags to the ground. Kipi asked Gega to go get the rest of the goblins and Toma while Lord Lovo went to his chambers.

It was slightly awkward for Gega. Lord Lovo just said his goodbyes, yet her and him walked side by side into the castle.

Lovo felt awkward about it as well.

Thankfully Toma and his tribe were in the tower. Gega went to the tower to get Toma while Lovo went to the torture room. He planned to get this all renovated and made into a room for him. It was a nice area tucked away behind the throne room.

"Finally" he said as he got back to his ramshackle table with bones scattered around. He got quite a haul. Lots of Orc bones, a new summon, more levels, and even some Ogre bones.

"Now time to check your evolution and then mine."

He opened his screen on Julki.

Lovo just stood there speechless. These were all amazing! Although, he knew he could only picked one for his evolution line and another for skills that could influence its evolutions later.

"Let's talk this out. I'm making Julki my right hand man. Spirit and Feral are cool, but not fitting. Vile is great in combat but if there is a passive aura that hurts the living, then he could never be in my town for mortals and monsters. That leaves me with Anointed, Accursed and Baleful. Anointed is going to be his main evolution pathway for sure. Being a strategist is what he will be. There is only one option left.

As soon as he selected these magic started to pour out of him uncontrollably. His mana was draining quickly.

"Oh shit oh shit!"

He panicked for a moment before he noticed. As his magic flowed out of him Julki was invaded in a blood red cocoon like structure.

[ Evolution Time Remaining: 23H 54M ]

"Well shit. An entire day for him to evolve? Well I'm glad I waited on mine. Would have been awkward for the people waiting on me. I should have Toma bring everyone into the castle for a feast. I can work on progressing my Hybrid Bone skill later."

Lovo left his small area of the castle and looked around.

It's only be a couple days, but he felt like he has been here for years.

Lovo stood just inside the doorframe to the balcony on the second floor. The sun was just about to set and his debuff was gone. It felt surreal to him. In his old life he was a storyboard artist for a gaming company and even tried his hand at coding his own models. All those endless nights of staying up and coding are now gone. He was living a story he only dreamt of.

He daydreamt as he watched everyone. Toma and the goblins were trying to plan out crop areas while Kipi, Gega and the other hunters made trips back to the Druid portal for Orc meat. No use in letting that go to waste. Master Fontana and the others were helping the goblins with crops. Even Gorgo was helping. Granted he was only useful for fighting or moving heavy objects.

Looking over at the inn Sheva and Kelagar got to have a room to for the night. They mainly kept to themselves and started a fire to make a stew. Thankfully the Druids were human and made this trip slightly more tolerable for them.

*Knock* *Knock*

Lovo almost jumped hearing someone knock on the stone next to him.

He turned and saw a familiar face. It was Nease.

"Ah Nease. What can I do for you?"

She seemed to hesitate before she spoke.

"Are you really wanting to live with mortals? Master Fontana taught me and others about monsters. Including vampires. They are told he power hungry beings wanting to dominate not coexist. Why do you want that?"

He was slightly taken aback.

"Of course. I've said this before. My master say something about the future and told me to do the unexpected. And that is to live with mortals."

"Yes, but what about the craving power?! That's vampiric nature?"

Neasa was starting to get frustrated. She couldn't understand how a vampire would want to coexist with mortals. It wasn't against the natural laws of nature. To her it was like a wolf becoming a Shepard.

"Oh I do. Oh want to be powerful, but I don't want to force my leadership on others. I want them to know I accept all and will hurt those that try to harm my people." As he spoke he started to walk closer to Neasa in a domineering manner. She took a couple steps back as he walked towards her. She pumped into the wall as he woke. Lovo didn't even realize what he was doing. His inner vampire was taking over.

"I want power and I'm going to get it!"
