Making Friends

Master Fontana, Neasa, Balor and his wife Ethinu all stepped out of the portal. All them were red in the face from crying. Master Fontana told them everything that happened. Including Lovo being a vampire that allowed them to get closure and that he was there to talk to them.

"Ahem. Lord Lovo. You stated you wanted to come here to talk to us. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Master Fontana, but you can call me Fontana instead. You are not a pupil of mine. We are thankful for your help. You've given us closer with Prydier. He was a treasured friend."

As the Druids looked over the group they noticed Grunga was dead as well. The silently gave a prayer as Balor and Ethinu made gestures for theirs.

"I stand corrected. You gave us closure with Prydier and Grunga. I unfortunately was not able to save Grunga. That poison was made for eating away mana and more potent against monsters."

"Now what was it you would like to ask us. I will do my best to return this favor as best I can."

Lovo looked at the two adventures.

"This will give for you two as well. I want to build a town that's safe for monsters and mortals alike. The Forest goblin tribe live under my protection now. They told me about the Druids, Orcs and Kobolds. I figured I could ask you, Fontana, if you and your people would like to live in my lands. My only rule is to not attack anyone unless it is to defend yourself. I believe I already said I was planning on an expedition, but I need people in my land to protect each other while I am away. As I think that will happen often for me. I have some time before I need to leave on this journey, and planned to visit the Kobolds and Orcs before I left."

Lovo turned back to the Adventurers.

"I truly mean you and other mortals no harm. I extend the same offer to you and your families and even town. I will even take in refugees if there is a war going on. I will be honest. I am very ignorant of the lands and wish to know more if you are able to share the information. I want to live in peace with those near me."

With everything that has happened in the last few hours, this was the icing on the cake. Everyone has had many mixed emotions. From watching o much death happen, their savior being a vampire, saying goodbye to their dead friend and now this!? A vampire that wants to live with mortals?! This is a very strange vampire.

"You want to live with mortals" Master Fontana asked? He sounded almost as if he lost his mind.

"Yes" Lovo said confidently. "I do. I don't want to force my rule on anyone. I want power to protect those that can't protect themselves."

"Is there a reason for this. Revelation?"

Lovo thought for a moment. He knew he can't just tell them he's from another world and has seen glimpses into the future. After a couple seconds he had his idea!

"My master gave me his old castle. He has his own issues to tend to. He used magic to see events that might transpire. He wouldn't tell me what happened but informed me I should start thinking abnormally. Most abnormal thing I could think of was living with mortals. My master has never steered me wrong."

"Divination magic! I thought that was a lost art" Master Fontana said.

"Can I meet your master?!"

"Ah. Unfortunately not. He has locked himself in his study and only talks to me every so often."

"Huh. I see."

Master Fontana went deep into thought.

"Fine. We accept to live in your lands Lord Lovo. Even our hidden town was found. If what you say is true then strength in numbers will help."

Lovo turned to the two adventurers.

"And you two? You are more then welcome to come with us even if you are just visiting."

The two looked at each other. They both knew this was a world changing event. A vampire with divination magic and another trying to live peacefully with mortals. Just what did Lovo's master see?!

"My name is Sheva and this is Kelagar. We will travel with you. We will just take reports and bring it to our guild master. He has the final say as he is running the town; Oswik. Is that acceptable?"

"Of course it is. I wouldn't expect you to trust me right away. You and Kelagar are more then welcome to stay the night as well. We have plenty of food."

The Druids spent the next hour gathering all their stuff and what they could carry. Kelagar and Sheva both offered a hand in carrying some stuff. Even Lovo helped with Julki. He wanted to summon Atlas and Bulwark but wanted to see what Julki evolved into. Thankfully Gorgo was there. He had the pleasure of carrying the Trancho and her eggs. Plus side for Lovo was they had spare bags and he was able to get Julki to carry all the bones back to his castle.

As soon as they all their stuff packed and ready they all heard rustling in the bushes.

"Yevn. See what's there. And don't kill it."

Yevn darted out of Lovo's shadow but still looked like a shadow on the ground. In a matter of moments he moved pasted the bushes. Everyone heard someone, or something, yelp in pain before it was tossed over the bushes.

It was a small Forest Goblin with a 10 tipped spear made of bones.

"That hurt asshole!"

Lovo was shocked!

"Gega? What are you doing here!?"

She quickly gathered herself.

"Lord Lovo!" She turned to face the bushes "Guys! Lord Lovo is okay! You can come out."

As soon as she called out Kipi and 3 more of his hunters came out of the bushes. Him with his jagged sword and the others with normal short swords.

"Lord Lovo I'm glad you're okay!" Kipi called out.

"Your skeleton died and turned into bones. We came out here to see if you were okay."

"Ahahahaha! Thank you Kipi and Gega. I appreciate that. No I'm fine. Long story short I had to dismiss that skeleton to summon a more powerful one. I might bring Grimmal back when we head back."

Everyone behind him was slightly dumbfounded. They all half expected him to have mind controlled the goblins, but they sought him out on their own. He must have truly been telling the truth.

"Okay well since we have more hands. Fontana, you can give them more stuff and can carry it."

"Ah yes. Of course." He was caught off guard.

"It's been a while since I've chatted with you goblins. Who is your Elder now?" He asked Kipi and Gega.

"We don't have an elder anymore" Gega says. "Instead we have a chieftain. Chieftain Toma. He's the one leading our tribe."

"Ah. I'm sorry to hear about your previous elder. Glad to see you all thriving again."

Kipi and Gega decided not to tell his Druid about their old Elder. Just let him think of the good he did.

The goblins managed to carry a couple more bags of seeds and farming equipment and even a bag of bones for Lovo.

Once they were all packed and ready they heard to Castle Morn. Again.
