A Cozy Home and Preparations
As Lucius stepped out of the school building, he spotted Mark and Alex waiting near the entrance. He walked over to them with a smile on his face. "Hey guys, I'll see you at the party tonight," he said to Mark, who was engaged in an animated conversation with Alex.
Mark paused and smiled back at Lucius. "Sure thing, Lucius! Looking forward to it. You're going to have a blast, trust me," he replied enthusiastically, while Alex nodded in agreement, though he seemed more focused on the conversation they had been having.
With a wave and a cheerful grin, Lucius headed home, leaving his new friends behind. He walked through the neighborhood, which led to the apartment complex he had secretly purchased. To everyone else, he was just another tenant, and he preferred it that way. It helped him maintain a low profile and not draw too much attention to himself.
As he approached the building, he greeted his neighbors with friendly smiles and casual conversation. They appreciated his warmth and genuinely seemed to enjoy his company. Upon reaching his apartment, he unlocked the door and stepped inside.
The apartment was cozy and well-organized, with a kitchen, living room, and a bedroom that had an attached restroom. The living room was furnished with a plush white couch, a coffee table, and a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. A few framed photographs adorned the walls, capturing cherished moments with his parents before they left.
Lucius went straight to his bedroom to do his homework before getting ready for the party. As he completed his assignments, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the evening's festivities.
Once his homework was finished, Lucius headed to the shower to freshen up. He spent some time picking out the perfect outfit for the party, ultimately deciding on a white button-up shirt, slim-fitting white jeans, and a pair of white sneakers. He added a touch of elegance with a silver watch and a simple white leather bracelet.
After dressing, Lucius examined himself in the mirror. His white hair was styled just right, and his golden eyes seemed to sparkle with excitement. He couldn't help but wonder if he looked okay for the party, a hint of insecurity creeping in.
Shaking off any lingering doubts, Lucius grabbed his phone and ordered an Uber to take him to Kate's party. As he waited for his ride, he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness for the night ahead. Little did he know, it would be a night to remember.
Lucius stepped outside his apartment and took a deep breath, enjoying the cool evening air. He glanced around, waiting for the Uber he had ordered to arrive. A few moments later, a sleek black car pulled up in front of him, and he climbed into the backseat, giving the driver Kate's address.
As the car made its way to the party, Lucius couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and anxiety. He hoped he would fit in and have a good time with his new friends.
Upon arriving at Kate's house, Lucius spotted Mark and Alex, who had just gotten there themselves. He exited the Uber and joined the pair, and together they walked towards the party, engaging in lighthearted banter about video games and sharing jokes.
"So, have you guys played Valorant?" Lucius asked, eager to find common ground with his new friends.
"Of course!" Mark exclaimed, his eyes lighting up. "It's awesome! You should join our gaming group sometime."
"Yeah, we have a blast playing together," added Alex, grinning. "But beware, Mark can be quite competitive."
As they reached the front door of Kate's house, Lucius suddenly felt a bit self-conscious about his appearance. Turning to Mark, he asked, "Hey, do I look okay?"
Mark smirked and teased, "Trying to impress Kate, are you?" while Alex snickered in the background.
Lucius rolled his eyes, feeling a bit embarrassed but still amused by his friends' banter. "Very funny, guys. Let's just go in and enjoy the party."
Together, the trio entered the party, ready to have a good time and make even more memories with their new friend, Lucius.
