Accident

Xavier's POV...

"Come on now Lilith. I need to check on LJ," I say.

"Awww, leaving so soon?" she says with a disappointed expression.

"I'm sorry love but I have to. Her manager said she isn't well," I try to convince her.

She pouts as she crosses her arms over her chest. I kiss her cheek catching her by surprise, "I love you," I whisper in her ear.

She smiles and turns her head stealing a kiss from my lips. "Love you too," she says looking me in the eye.

"What was that?" I ask.

"A...kiss?" she answers a bit confused.

I chuckle and ask, "Is that what you call a kiss?".

I smirk at her face and lift her head by her chin using my finger. "Let me show you how it's done," I say.

I kiss her as I hold her waist. She puts her hands on my chest as I pin her on the wall. We continue until I push away. It takes my everything to pull away from those cherry lips.

"Now that's what you call a kiss," I say winking at her.

Her face goes red and she buries it in my chest, "Aren't you supposed to go see your little sister?" she mumbles in my chest.

"Right," I say remembering.

I kiss her cheek once again and rush out. "Travel safe, see you during diner," she shouts.

I don't answer and hop in the car. I start the engine and the gate man opens the humongous gate for me. I get out of the premises and arrived at the highway as I drove fast. I needed to be quick because when Little Jade gets sick it's serious to the extent of her ending up in the hospital. She has been having a rough time with all the news and paparazzi anyway and now she's sick.

I go faster but as I reach 180 miles something happens to the back of the car. Concerned I slow down and park the car beside the road. I get out of the car to find the number plate was no more there. If I didn't have it the police would fine me but the question that was bothering me the most was how it fell. There were no signs of scratches meaning someone had tried to remove it but didn't get time to finish. Why would someone want someone else's plate? To frame me probably but they could just take a picture and fix an identical one. I was along the road searching for my fallen plate. There was not a single car on the road today. I wonder why though. I see it a few steps ahead and I run to get it. It was in the middle of the road. Here you are. At least it didn't get a lot of damage.

As I pick it up my phone rings. "Lilith?" I say, "Is something wrong?" I ask concerned. "Vee, I...I love you," she says. "I love you too but why didn't you just text me," I say. "I...I wanted to hear your voice one last time," she says. This time there's bitterness and satisfaction in her tone. "O.. okay. I have to go," I tell her, "I'll come back for dinner". She disconnects the call. I don't notice that a car was heading my way until it was feet away.

It hits my head and I go flying. I roll on the ground and my head hits a stone. Everything goes blurry as I think of LJ. She was the last person I wanted to see. Maybe it was fate. I had to die today and she has to endure the pain of losing another sibling. Little has been through a lot. Bullying, insecurities, father's wishes, Reina's death, and much more. I wish for her to find someone who will bring a smile to her face every day. I hope she gets that someone. I slowly fall unconscious.
