Date Gone Wrong

The next day I sat quietly on the couch with my luggage by my side. I scrolled through my notification and I see a new message from Xavier. It said: 'Mom told me you have a boyfriend. Let me guess, it's Ace Swift. I thought they were false rumors'.

'I will explain later' I type back and send the message.

He quickly replies and soon we engage into a conversation.

Xavier: Why can't you explain it now?

Jade: I'm busy

Xavier: With what? Sitting on the couch drinking wine?😑

Jade: How did you know?😶

Xavier: I've known you since you were born, when you walked your first steps and said your first words Little Jade. Of course I know all your habits plus that's the only time you check your phone.

Jade: Big Brother Xavier knows me too well🥹

Xavier: 🤦🏻. Explain.

Jade: It's all a lie, I promise. It's just an act for only a month. It will be over in a month.

Xavier: A lie for a month? So you guys are going to fake a relationship and then fake a breakup?

Jade: Yeah😓

Xavier: That's the most stupid excuse I've ever heard😂😂

Jade: I'm serious!

Xavier: Okay then, that's the most stupid plan I've ever heard

Jade: I said the same

Xavier: It all start with a fake relationship

Jade: What starts?

Xavier: You'll understand in the future

Jade: You always speak in Riddles

Xavier: If you are smart enough, you'll understand

Jade: Are you trying to say I'm dull?

Xavier: No, you're still young to understand

Jade: Brother, I'm not a toddler anymore. I'm almost 22.

Xavier: No matter how old you are, you are always my baby sister.

Jade: 😑

Xavier: I'm visiting today. We'll talk then.

Jade: Okay! Bye BBX!

Xavier: Bye LJ!

We end the chat and I place the phone in my purse. I take my glass and finish the wine that was inside. I walk out to the glass window losing my patience. Where was that idiot?

"Looking for me?" I hear a voice from behind me.

"No, I was looking at the scenery," I say rolling my eyes.

"Sure, let's go," he says turning to leave.

I clear my throat and he stops to look at me. "What?" he asks.

I point at my bags. He jerks his head and looks at me, "What's wrong? Forgot something?" he asks.

I slap my forehead and tell him, "Isn't the boyfriend going to carry the girlfriend's bags for her?" I ask.

"Me?" he asks.

"Yes you, who else am I in a relationship with?" I say.

"It's a lie. Don't make it real," he says.

"Says the one who actually makes it real. Pick them up," I say walking past him.

He had no choice but to carry them. It wasn't my fault he had caused all this and decided not to bring the butler.

We enter the jet and we get going. I notice that we pass LA and we head to Asia.

"Asia?" I ask.

He looks at me and smirks...not smile, he smirks, "Just wait and see," he says.

"Why are we going there?" I ask.

"If I tell you it wouldn't be a surprise anymore. Have patience," he answers.

I scoff as I pull out my phone. What if he's kidnapping me? Maybe he's planning on leaving me there with no means of communication and goes back to announce that I was abducted by mafias then the whole story of him and I dating stops and people later on forgetting me! That would be a nightmare! My mind was a jungle with all the I thought he would do.

I send my location to brother telling him, 'If I'm not home by 10:00 pm, I've been abducted by Ace here'. He doesn't reply and I assume he's in a meeting. I glance at Ace who was staring out of the window. Because of boredom I put on my headphones and listen to music.

We land and we get off the jet. We were not at the airport but a field. I look around and from a distance I see a large villa. It was painted white and a bit of gray. It looked so tiny from here but I knew that it was a huge mansion. A car picks us up and we drive to the villa. We arrive and as I said it was huge. My villa was small compared to this one.

"Who's villa," I ask as I look at it amazed.

The craftwork was unique as different patterns were curved on the surfaces of the house. "Ours," he says.

"Ours? Oh that's cool," I say. I was too absent minded that I realize everything after some time, "Wait! Ours?!" I ask.

"I'm joking. It's mine. This was my first house," he says.

I sigh and ask, "First?".

He nods and looks at it, "I'm half Korean and half American," he explains, "When I became an actor I was 8. It all started here in a school drama show and when I 15, I built this house thinking it would reunite my broken family but I thought wrong. So no one has lived here since I had moved to LA," he continues.

"That explains your eyes, hair and accent," I say, "I now get it. I never knew that you were Korean".

"No one does except for the director and my manager. I separate my personal life from my social and professional lives," he says.

"You should smile more," I say and he looks at me.

He gives me that mischievous smirk of his. "Not smirk, smile," I say sternly gesturing with my hands.

"Look Gray Jade. I'm okay with how I am. Stone cold, let's keep it that way," he says frowning.

I pout my lips and then turn around to walk back to the jet. "Where are you going?" he asks.

"Home," I reply as I walk away.

"Why?" I asks.

"Why shouldn't I? I wouldn't want to spend my time with a cold vampire," I reply.

"You...Wait...Did you call me a vampire?" he asks confused.

"Yeah," I reply still walking away.

He's silent and I think he's following me but when I turn around I find him in front of me. "How did you get here so fast?" I ask.

"You called me a vampire. Aren't vampires supposed to be fast?" he says sarcastically.

"Nice try, trying to tell me you are a real one. I know you were an athlete Ace," I say.

"How do you know?" he asks.

"Oh you know, news leaks," I say.

"News leaks? Do you mean everyone knows I was an athlete?," he asks.

"Uh huh," I reply with a nod, "Like look at you. Your body says it all".

"What's wrong with my body?" he asks.

"Nothing is wrong," I tell him, "It just that you don't smile. You'll get wrinkles quick".

"Oh please. You smile everytime now look at your face. Between yours and mine, mine looks younger," he says.

I gasp as I glare at him, "You said I look old," I whisper in disbelief.

He just called me old. "Awww. Is little gray princess gonna cry?" he teases.

"I'm not a cry baby," I tell him looking away.

"Really?" he says with a raised eyebrow.

'What happened? We were getting along just now and now we are arguing,' I say in my mind. "I don't have time for this," I whisper, "Stay like that. I'm going," I tell him.

He's quiet and I take that as a yes. I walk away to the jet. I get inside and inform him where he should leave me. We fly as I leave Ace standing there. When we were half way through to our destination I breath in a smell that was unpleasant. The windows were locked and so was the door to the pilots' side. The smell kept on going until I get drowsy and collapse.
