"It's been two weeks already, do you think something happened to my daughter?" Rosa asked Nathan.

"No mother, nothing has happened to her. She wanted time alone let's give her that" he said.

"But it's two weeks now, and she doesn't pick up or reply to my calls and texts. I just want to know if she's okay" said her mother.

"I assure you mother Alex is fine," he said.

"How do you know, I thought she wasn't talking to you too?" she asked

He smiled sitting next to her, "Well mother, let's say I have a little secret to share"

"Alexandra" someone called. Alex turned, "Yes" and answered.

"The customers are waiting, hurry up," her new boss said.

"Coming" she rushed out holding the plates. They returned with another food order.

Later she sat back with her co-worker as they are their lunch.

"So I found out something," she said.

Alex looked up at her, "What?"

"Who you are" she smiled.

Alex blinked, "who I am? What do you mean by"

"I mean like where you came from, it's a small town everyone knows each other so we know when a new face arrives," she said, "you're beautiful and held yourself as you came from a rich family. So everyone noticed you were different"

"Oh...." was all Alex said.

"So me being more curious than the rest, I tried looking you up and even with your last name changed I was able to. You are the first daughter of the White family, the second richest family in the country..... but then I found out your father just died, so I guess it's the reason you ran away"

Alex sighed, "Am done see you after the last shift?" she said walking away.

Her friend watched her go and frowned, "Then I guess it's true, your running away from the pain of losing your father"

Alex walked into her room, and Ed ran to her.

"Hi love, missed me" she knelt to pick up. Ed barked. Alex laughed letting him lick her face. "Got you something" she poured him the dog food and watched him eat.

She walked to her bed and lay down.

"I miss you mom, I hope you are okay" she muttered. She knew Nathan and his father would take care of her. "I wonder how Cynthia is doing"

Closing her eyes she drowned to sleep.

Roy walked out of the car and stood next to Becca as they watched Nathan walk into the company.

"His trying to hide it but it shows he misses her, "Roy said.

"He knows where is she, he could just go to her but decided not to," she said.

"Huh, why? I thought he loves her" asked Roy.

"Because she asked for time to be alone and he wanted to respect that, but it's been another week now and I can see his almost losing his patience," she said.

Nathan sat down in his office and checked his phone. He frowned, "Will you be mad if I come to you instead of waiting here? Am going to lose it without seeing you for days"

He sought.
