Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Feel at home...

Cynthia woke up to the smell of toast and eggs. She opened her eyes to find herself in a stranger's room. Her swollen tired eyes gazed around until she recognized Roy's face in the picture on the bedside table. Next to it was a tray with steaming hot coffee, toast and eggs.

Her memory replayed from the moment she hugged him, after crying so much she had fallen asleep in his arms.

"He brought me to his home" she gasped. Cynthia leaned back blinking, her eyes turned back to the breakfast on the table. "And made me breakfast" she muttered.

There was a note beside the cup, she took it reading.

"Made some breakfast hope it's to your liking.

Sorry, I could not have some with you had to go to work.

But still feel at home, you can stay as long as you like.

Morning Cynthia".

She bit down on her lip and smiled.

.....

"So what happened when you got home," Becca asked Roy.

"Nothing much I took her to bed," he said.

"Did you see her in the morning before you left?" she asked

"Mmm, took breakfast for her but she was still asleep so I left a note," he said.

"Not bad friend that was a good step" Becca laughed. "Tell him to call her later" Roy heard his boss's voice in the background.

"You heard that?" Becca said.

"I did thanks boss.... but wait, if I call her what should I say?" he asked.

Nathan and Becca laughed, "Figure that out yourself," they said.

He hang up and frowned then dialled her number.

"Hello Roy" Cynthia answered.

"Cynthia " he answered.

"Am sorry I fell asleep last night, you should have woken me so I would not bother you this much?" she said.

He chuckled, "Well I tried to but it seemed like you were a heavy sleeper"

Cynthia giggled, "I am, sorry I troubled you"

"You didn't, always glad to help. Did you sleep well?" he asked.

"Mmm, I did your bed is super comfy. And thanks for the breakfast"

He smiled, "Glad you liked it"

"I know you might have said without much thought but can I take the offer of staying over until I feel I can face my mom?" she said.

The sadness from yesterday was back in her voice, he breathed feeling his mood change too.

"I meant every word I said Cynthia, you can stay as long as you want," he said.

"Thanks so much, I promise not to get in your way or be a burden," she said..." Ohh maybe while using the bathroom, my hair tends to fall out so much when I bathe "

He laughed, "It's alright that's nothing"

"Okay, thanks Roy," she said.

"Welcome," he fell silent.

"Boss" Roy looked up and frowned. The man moved back.

Cynthia heard "Okay, I will leave you to your work, see you when you get home, a naming dinner"

He felt his cold mood change again, he smiled widely, " Looking forward to it and if you need something call me"

"Alright, bye-bye," she said.

He sighed looking back at the man held down on the chair with ropes, his head and lips bleeding staining his white shirt underneath the coat he wore.

Two men dressed in black suits next to Roy moved closer to him.

"He doesn't want to talk, boss"

Roy's eyes turned cold again as he gazed at the injured man.

"Then make him, I don't have time for this anymore. Young master wants answers and I have to be somewhere in a few hours"
