3. Reincarnated

Jin Woo & Odin then start the procedure to rewind the time and send the young man's soul to 300 years in the past. They touch the Absolute Being's corpse and pour their magic power into it. The corpse then glows and they tell the young soul to touch it.

"I don't know where you will be born because we can only control the time, not the place. We can't control who you'll become either, so you can be born into a very rich or very poor family. But please do your best."

"Understood. I will try to go to South Korea as fast as I can to protect you & your family until you recover."

"It's alright, I have made arrangements for that too. But I appreciate the thought. You should focus on getting stronger because the Monarchs aren't easy opponents."

"I understand."

The young man's soul suddenly feels a very strong suction from the massive corpse that pulls his soul into it. Then everything turns blank as he loses his consciousness. He doesn't know how much time has passed until he finally can see light again.

He finds himself being a newborn baby who barely can see because his eyelids still can't fully open. It's annoying but this means he has been reborn. But he can't check whether he arrived at the correct time or not.

'Well, let's think about that later after I grow a little bigger. For now, let's focus on being a healthy baby.'

However, he never thought that it felt like torture living as a baby with the mind of an adult. It feels so strange to be taken care of by people with similar ages as him before his death. He also can't do anything himself and life is so boring because he can't do a lot of activities.

Time passes slowly for him, but he grows healthily. He was born and now lives in Bali, a very famous island in Indonesia. It's hard for him to learn a new language, but he enjoys it because it means he really lives a new life.

'I was born in May 1996, it wasn't mentioned in the novel & manhwa, but Jin Woo said the 1st Gate appeared in January 2013, so I will be 16 and almost 17 years old by then. I shouldn't waste those years and hone my skills to fight monsters. Learning martial arts should be good and I have always wanted to learn Muay Thai, so I'll try that.'

He needs to learn how to fight before facing those monsters. Fighting using weapons is cool, but he is always a fan of fistfights. He himself never really fought anyone in his past life, but he enjoys watching boxing and MMA competitions.

Anyway, he is born as the 2nd child of an Australian-Indonesian couple. His father is of Australian descent who has lived here since he was a child because of his parents' work and his mother is a local. He has an older sister 3 years older than him.

His father's name is Alexander Smith, an English teacher at an International School. His mother's name is Ni Made Ayu, a traditional dance teacher. They married 5 years ago and now have 2 children, his older sister and him.

His older sister's name is Dewi Smith, Dewi means Goddess. She is 3 years older than him. Their parents decided to use a Western naming system for them. But they used local names for their kids' first name, followed by the father's surname.

As for him, his name is Indra Smith, named after a Hindu God, Indra. Indra & his sister have black hair, but his sister has a lighter skin color than him like their father while his skin is closer to their mother's.

Time passes slowly for Indra who has the mind of an adult. Being in a baby's body is very suffocating because he can't do anything. But he can't do anything about that and after being patient for a long time, he finally turns 4.

Indra is still 4 years old now, but it's normal for children to start learning martial arts at a young age, and many martial arts schools also open courses for children. He asks his parents and they allow it easily because they think it's good for children to do a lot of activities.

It's also a positive activity that will train his body and discipline. Also, he will have a place to play while they work. But then Dewi sulks because this means she can't play with her little brother anymore. She dotes on Indra too much and will always be with him.

In the end, they enroll both Dewi and Indra into the closest Muay Thai school. They thought the kids would give up after a while, but surprisingly, they kept going even when they complained a lot. It's mostly Dewi who complains, but she keeps going because of her little brother.

Surprisingly, both siblings show great talent for Muay Thai. Dewi is even better at it than Indra. She is generally good at physical activities like sports, but she is not that good academically, after all. It doesn't mean she is bad at studying, she is average at studies, but she is very excellent at sports.

As for Indra, maybe thanks to his previous life, he is doing well in school when it comes to general subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, or english. Well, he's still doing fine with subjects like Indonesian language or history, but they're obviously worse than his math which makes his classmates look at him strangely because they mostly do better at language than math.

When Indra is 6, his mom gives birth to another baby boy. They named him Rama Smith. Rama is the incarnation of a Hindu God, Vishnu, who is also the hero of the epic Ramayana. He has lighter skin & black hair, like Dewi. So Indra is the only kid with brownish skin, which makes him smug because he feels special.

Anyway, time passes and it's finally the new year of 2013. As he was born in May 1996, he is currently still 16 y.o and will be 17 in a few months. He is in High School now, his 19-year-old sister has just entered college, and his 10-year-old brother is in Grade School.

Everything was fine till now, but Indra knows the world will change soon. While the world is celebrating the change of year, Indra is worried about the incoming disaster. Jin Woo only told him the 1st Gate will appear in January 2013, but he didn't say the exact date, so it puts Indra on edge.

Indra has written everything he remembers from Solo Leveling story and the plan he made with Jin Woo & Odin in a book to make sure he doesn't forget anything when the time comes. After all, 16 years isn't a short time. He can forget many things after waiting for 16 years for the 1st Gate to appear.

That's why he wrote everything he could remember and even wrote the ideas he got over time that can help in his plan. The Gates will appear soon, so he needs to be prepared. It will be the beginning of this world's new Era.

He has done everything he could all these years to prepare himself for this new Era. Not only does he train his combat skills, but he also learns politics and even business. He will need them in the future when he builds a Guild or discuss things with other forces.

'There are so many things to do. But I can only do them once I have sufficient power and influence. For now, I can only watch how the government will handle everything when the Gates appear.'

Indra keeps waiting warily because no one knows when and where the Gates will appear. He's quite worried that a Gate will appear very close to his house and endanger his family. Luckily, when the 1st Gates appears, the closest one is located quite far from him.

'They finally appear. I guess the plan starts now.'
