CHAPTER TWENTY

"Welcome my babies" Ivy's mother greeted cheerfully as they walked into the house.

"Good evening mom" they chorused.

"How was school today Ivy, do you like your new school?" Her mother asked smiling and she frowned slightly as she slumped on the sofa.

"Mom I hate Crestfield" she sighed tiredly.

"But why baby?" Mrs Crownway asked, taking a seat close to her daughter.

"Everyone there are rude and ill mannered, there are just two nice people in that school. Leo and Courtney" Ivy complained.

"Why won't everybody be rude to you, when you went ahead and had a fight with Chris Richardson of the C4's after all I told you" Alvin suddenly said from nowhere.

"How....how...did you know about that" Ivy stuttered feeling surprised.

"Why won't I know, you were dealing with Chris remember! Or did you forget?"

"You know I've always wondered why you are so stubborn and adamant, even when you know you are a weakling. I know you always like standing up for yourself coz of your foolish self respect and all, but I never knew you would be so adamant to the point that you'd fear no one, even the C4's"

"After all my pleading Ivy, I practically begged you to stay away from trouble, but you didn't listen. You got into trouble not just with anyone, but with the C4's. Ivy how could you" Alvin ranted.

"But he came to me first" she defended.

"Even at that, what did I tell you this morning? Try to endure no matter who the person is, they are all spoilt brats their parents have connections, and they do whatever they like unlike us. You know your background, so why not keep your ego aside and respect yourself" Alvin yelled.

"So why did you leave me all by myself, you knew I know nothing about that school, I don't even know anybody, yet you left me all by myself" Ivy fired.

"That was because I had to go to class" Alvin retorted.

"So what about lunch break Huh? You promised to see me at lunch break, but you never did! Were you still having classes during break?" Ivy asked and Alvin went quiet.

"So? Go on! You can't talk no more" Ivy urged.

"Well, that was because I had a project work which I was working on by then. I was really busy that was why I could not come out, I didn't even have anything to eat myself" Alvin explained, already feeling guilty.

"But that also did not give you the right to talk to Chris in that manner" he added lowly.

"What would you have me do? He called me blind when he was the one at fault" Ivy complained.

"Even at that....

"Enough of this silly argument" their mother shut them up.

"Can someone please tell me what is going on here?" She asked.

"Ask Alvin" Ivy half yelled.

"No, ask your precious daughter the expensive mistake she committed today" he retorted.

"You know you just got a scholarship into the school, a long time opportunity you are supposed to treasure! But you are already messing it up, I see you would like to became a drop out"

"Just pray that Chris should not work out your expulsion" Alvin added, and angrily stormed upstairs.

Ivy watched him as he climbed the stairs, she knew all he had said was the truth. What has she gotten herself into?

"Baby, what did you do in school today?" Her mom asked, and she couldn't help but cry.

"Mom I've messed up big time!!!" She continued weeping on her mother's shoulder, and her mom kept patting her.

"It's gonna be fine baby" her mom added still petting her, and she kept sobbing.

Chris did not wait for the car to stop before storming out of it, and next he went straight to his bedroom.

He was still pissed off by what Castillo said, and what Ivy did, today's school was really annoying for him, he could not wait to get back home.

Leonard just gently stepped out of the car and shook his head, he was used to it already, always grumpy and angry.

"Son, what happened to Chris? Did anyone offend him in school today?" Mrs Richardson, Chris's mother asked immediately Leo stepped into the house.

"Not that I know of" Leo shrugged.

"Mom don't you know Chris, he's always like that. Let him be, he would be fine" Mike his elder brother chipped in from the dinning table.

"Let Leo be, Chris would come around" Mike added standing up from the dinning table.

"Mike I know, just that I'm really worried about your brother"

"You shouldn't be mom, get some rest Chris can handle himself, he is not a child anymore, he's a teenager" Mike mouthed and she just simply nodded. She was not feeling satisfied, but could not do anything as well, so she had to let it be.

"Leo you can go upstairs now and change" Mike said, and he nodded as she started walking up.

Chris got into his room and angrily flung his bag on the bed.

What the f*ck. Who was that pretty witch, and what was she doing to him?

"Ahhhhhhh" he groaned as he punched the wall severally.

Immediately he saw Ivy's face, it took everything in him to resist the urge to grab her.

That was just his kind of woman, his spec, the kind of lady he's always hoped for. Her smallish eyes and ears, her baby nose, her plump small lips which he felt like kissing. Her black and brown hair, she was just everything he needed in a woman.

But how could he Chris, the one whom the whole school knew as ruthless fall in love. No, nobody can put him under control, coz once a person falls in love, he or she would have to do anything that person says to please him or her. And he Chris was never ready to concur to any woman.

But this particular girl was beginning to catch his fantasy, and to crown it all she was his classmate. She was f*cking fixed in his class.

That lady needs to be expelled so he can get himself and come back to normal, now that it is not too late.

He has vowed never to have anything to do with any girl from Crestfield, so why does this have to happen now. Why does this witch have to come now? Is this a way to punish him or something.

He could not deny the fact that he felt something immediately their eyes came in contact. This lady was doing something to him which he had to put a stop to real quick.

He has never felt something as strong as this before, this lady's own was weighing him down.

Maybe it is just for today, maybe by tomorrow or as time goes on, this useless sensation would go away.

If it was to be another person that insulted him the way she did, he wouldn't have hesitated to smack that very person. But then, he was busy taking her in, fighting with his inner man! He was too daft to do anything.

If by tomorrow this continues, he is gonna work on her expulsion by himself. Just so she could get out of his head once and for all.

"So you mean a girl humiliated him in school today?" Mike Chris's elder brother asked Leo, he was feeling really surprised.

"Yeah she did, but without knowing who he was tho. She was among the newly admitted scholarship students, and so obviously she did not know who Chris was" Leo explained.

They were seated in the garden, having a drink and relaxing, enjoying the cool evening breeze. And Mike demanded to know all that happened in school today.

"Oh that is perfect, I like it when ladies stand up for themselves. Obviously Chris and his crew want to turn themselves into gods in that school" Mike mouthed.

"I practically pleaded with Chris before he could let her go, and up until now I'm sure he hasn't forgiven her, he'll be thinking of a way to expel her now" Leo said.

"Oh please, he can't do that, I won't even let him do that" Micheal scoffed.

"Really?" Leo beamed.

"Yeah, any stupid move Chris makes, be sure to inform me okay?" Mike muttered.

"Okay bro, thank you" Leo smiled.

"You're welcome bro, anytime" Mike breathed.
