Ace

Zeus was sitting in his usual spot on the crow's nest, overlooking everyone on the ship. He saw Luffy staring out at the sea and his mouth formed a warm smile, all he wanted was for his brother to be safe and happy. He looked at the sky and sighed, he wondered if their mother was watching them right now. Would she be happy if she knew what was happening?

He shook his head and looked around the ship. Zoro was training as usual, Sanji was cooking and kicking out his legs at the same time, Chopper was looking around the ship curiously, Vivi was sitting on Carue anxiously, Usopp was tinkering with a gadget, and Nami..

His eyebrows raised a little bit as he watched her, he formed his cloud and hovered above her silently. She was on the upper deck behind the tangerine trees, secretly practicing with her staff. He flashed a small smile and disappeared back to his seat, at this point he was basically part of the crew. At least that's what he thought, he didn't know how the others felt but he felt that way. He wondered how long this would last, with that thought in mind he reached into his cloud and pulled out several books and a pen.

He looked down and started writing in various books one by one as the Merry sailed towards Alabasta. On the way they met many Seakings but Zeus was focused on writing so he was annoyed when he was interrupted the poor Seakings didn't even know what happened and all turned to dust from the lightning. Zeus taking action thoroughly shocked the crew, Luffy looked at the ashes of the seakings silently, thinking about something. Eventually he went back to his seat and stared at the sea with a serious look.

Zeus looked down at Luffy and theorized that maybe he saw how strong he was and decided to start training again. Zeus smiled slightly and muttered in his heart 'Your brother is stronger than you now. Hehe' He also noticed that Luffy seemed to forget what his lightning looked like and didn't have any doubts towards his identity. This was best case scenario for him anyway so he said nothing about it, but that wasn't the case for the rest of the crew, they were extremely curious as to who the marine was and why he was constantly helping them despite being on opposite sides.

Zeus didn't pay attention to their looks and kept writing in his books.

After a while

They finally arrived at Nanohara, a city in Alabasta. Zeus flashed from the crow's nest and touched the ground. He turned around and said "This is where we split. See you guys later!" before they could say anything, Zeus disappeared in a puff of smoke. The crew sighed but Zoro noticed that there was a pile of books where Zeus was standing.

He walked over and picked one up, the books were all named. 'Long Nose' 'Mosshead' 'Orange' 'Shit-Cook' 'Tanuki' 'Strawhat' 'Six Powers' 'Haki' and finally 'Seimei Kikan'. Unfortunately, Luffy, Sanji, and Vivi had already left to get clothes and information, well Luffy went to get food but anyway Zoro passed out the books to their named owners while looking at his own.

Nami, Chopper, Usopp, and Zoro opened the books and their eyes opened wide. Inside each book was a detailed training plan along with specific techniques and moves that were recommended to them, but they noticed each of them had Observation Haki, Armament Haki, Soru, and Geppo in them.

They also noticed that each book was tailored towards them, Chopper had a detailed explanation of 'Seimei Kikan', Usopp had a detailed explanation of 'Kami-e', Zoro had an explanation of the sword with a little note at the end that said 'That's all I know about swords, sorry.' along with recommendations for some skills but there was a second note that said 'You'll probably ignore these and just cut' Zoro chuckled and took the book with him.

Nami looked at the book with a complicated expression on her face, there was an extremely detailed explanation of everything. Kami-e, Soru, Geppo, both Hakis, and all the staff techniques she had ever seen. Zeus naturally wrote hers carefully, he actually compiled all the information he knew as well as all the moves from various anime and video games he had seen. There were dozens of techniques, her book was a bit thicker than the others.

She took a deep breath and said nothing as she walked away holding the book tightly in her arms. Evidently making a decision about something.

In Nanohara

Zeus was walking on the streets and looking around, it was a nice place! Too bad Crocodile was fucking around behind the scenes, well it wasn't his problem really. He knew Luffy would take care of it, he was just here to watch the show and speed things along. Though on this trip he had a few things to take care of.

He looked up and saw a commotion at a restaurant, he chuckled to himself and sped up.

Inside the restaurant

Luffy was eating life a hungry ghost and didn't notice that he just smashed two people through the walls out of the restaurant. Zeus arrived on scene as Ace and Smoker got up and looked at Luffy angrily, Zeus stepped out and said "Halt criminals! I won't let you smash up this store!"

Smoker snapped "Kurama you bastard!" Ace grinned and grabbed Luffy before running away, Zeus watched them go and said to the restaurant owner "Sorry about that, my captain over here doesn't usually smash up shops." Smoker snorted and went to follow Ace and Luffy when he heard Zeus' voice again "By the way boss, have you paid this month's protection fees?"

Smoker almost fell over and punched Zeus in the head before dragging him out of the restaurant screaming "What protection fees?! Are you a thug?!"

Zeus chuckled and sped up after Luffy and Ace, he flashed and appeared in front of the two. Ace and Luffy looked at Zeus, who said righteously "Halt! You haven't paid for your meals!" Ace said "Lu! Run, I'll hold him off!" Luffy wanted to say something but Ace kicked him away and sent him flying towards the Merry, that was sitting in the distance.

Zeus cracked his knuckles and chuckled before charging towards Ace, he threw a Haki filled punch and didn't use any powers. Ace grinned and blocked his fist with his own and the two started to fight with their fists blackened. By the time Smoker got there, it was just a straight up dustbrawl. Smoker growled and filled the dustbrawl with his own smoke.

The dust settled and Ace and Zeus looked a little ragged and disheveled, Ace was bleeding from his nose and cursed "You bastard! You hit my handsome face!" Zeus sneered "Hmph, serves you right! Who grabs someone else's hair?!" the two started arguing and Smoker had black lines all over his forehead.

Unable to endure it anymore he snapped "What are you doing!? Capture him!" Zeus and Ace looked at Smoker and then at each other in confusion before pointing at themselves and saying "Me?" in unison. Smoker was about to go mad and Ace grinned as he pointed behind Smoker and Zeus saying "Holy fuck what is that?!"

Zeus and Smoker turned around and Ace immediately fled while shooting a giant fireball at the two. Smoker turned around and cursed while Zeus burst out laughing and said "I can't believe you fell for that! Shishishishishi!" Smoker grinded his teeth and looked at Zeus as he said "Didn't you fall for it too?"

Zeus choked and said seriously "That's not important, we need to catch that bastard." before running towards the Merry, Smoker chuckled to himself and followed Zeus.

They arrived at the coast and saw the Merry sailing away, Ace looked at them and pulled his eyelid and stuck out his tongue while flipping them off. Zeus laughed but Smoker was seething with rage, suddenly 4 giant Baroques works ships appeared and headed for the Merry, before the crew and Smoker could react, Zeus shouted "Ah Pirates! Mama!" he covered his eyes with one hand and threw out a thunder spear with the other.

The spear flew through the air and pierced all four ships, sinking them along with all the agents on them. Smoker spat and screamed "Why didn't you do that before?!" Zeus crouched down and shivered "I'm scared!" Smoker punched Zeus in the back of the head, slamming him into the sand.

Zeus sat up and said "Thank god, this mask doesn't have a mouth hole!" he wiped the top of his mask where his forehead would be and let out a breath of relief. Smoker was so angry he couldn't put it into words, he kicked Zeus towards the Merry and snapped "Go after them! I know you'll do it anyway!"

Zeus was flying over the sea and panicked "Smoker! I can't swim!" plop! Zeus fell into the water, Smoker smacked himself and ran to get someone.

A few minutes later

Zeus coughed out a bunch of water and looked at Smoker with grievance, Smoker coughed and said "Why didn't you just fly away?" Zeus spat sadly "I touched the water with my foot as you kicked me.." Smoker whistled and ignored him, Zeus looked like an abandoned wife just sitting on the sand, looking out in the distance as if to say 'Why does he treat me so'

Smoker coughed again and finally said "I owe you one, now go after them!" Zeus mumbled to himself and nodded "You owe me one! It's gonna be something big! You cannot refuse!" Smoker nodded and said "As long as it's not too excessive." Zeus chuckled evilly "Don't worry.. It won't be." he laughed like a maniac as he jumped on his cloud and flew after Luffy.

For some reason Smoker got a chill down his spine.

Zeus was flying after the Merry and saw it docking on a coast. He hovered above them secretly and peeked over the edge of his cloud. He watched as Luffy tamed all the Kung-Fu Dugongs and left, he slowly floated down and landed in front of the Dugongs after the crew left.

The Kung-fu Dugongs looked at Zeus and got ready to fight, Zeus looked around and spread out his haki before taking off his mask and revealing his face to the dugongs. The Dugongs were stunned and now confused, was this their master? Didn't he just leave?

Zeus chuckled and said "I know you can understand me. Bring your leader to me." the Dugongs spoke amongst each other and finally a Dugong with a scar over his eye waddled out and make a sound. Funnily enough Zeus felt that the Dugong just said "What do you want bitch."

Zeus laughed and said "You're master is my brother. Obviously you want to follow him right?" The Dugongs all nodded and Zeus grinned slyly and said "Can you guys leave Alabasta or not?" The Dugongs nodded, indicating that they can leave.

Zeus nodded and said seriously "What I want is for you all to form a pirate crew. Gather your Dugongs and travel around the grandline. I want you to train, and collect treasures, devil fruits, gold, everything. Understand?" The Dugongs nodded but the Dugong with a scar barked.

Zeus smiled slightly and said "I'll call you Scar. If you disrespect me I'll turn you to ashes, do you believe it?" Lightning crackled around him and struck the surroundings, blackening them completely.

The Dugongs were awed and Scar bowed slightly and barked again, Zeus took back his lightning and said "I understand how you Dugongs work, If I wasn't strong enough I wouldn't be standing in front of you right now." He patted Scar on the head and said seriously to the rest of the Dugongs "Find a ship and sail around. You're all too weak to follow your master."

The Dugongs looked ashamed and Zeus smiled "However, I will help you get strong." he took out three more books from his cloud and handed them to Scar "Practice all of these as best as you can. Whatever is useful, learn it. If you want to become swords men line up in front of me."

A bunch of Dugongs lined up in front of Zeus and he took out sword after sword from his cloud. He collected quite a few things over the years. He also had named swords, unfortunately Scar preferred his fists, so he called for the strongest of the swordsmen and handed him a named sword calling him 'Killer'.

He arranged the Dugongs to train on the island, until Luffy leaves and they get a ship ready. Zeus called Scar and Killer over and said "I don't care what flag you use, but when I give you a message It will change to include this." he held up a picture of a Straw Hat and continued seriously "Don't worry about when, I will find you. This will represent your master and confirm your part in the Straw Hat Grand fleet. Understand?"

Scar and Killer nodded and Zeus pulled out a paper from his cloud, he ripped off a piece and handed it to Scar while saying "This is a vivre card, you can find me anywhere in the world if you follow it." Scar was amazed and Zeus said seriously "Do not find me, unless there is a big emergency okay?"

Scar was completely convinced of Zeus at this point and barked while doing a military salute. Zeus nodded and looked at Killer before saying "A good swordsman can cut nothing. Remember this." Killer was confused but nodded anyway.

Zeus smiled and clapped "Perfect! Welcome to the Straw Hat Grand Fleet! Assemble!" The Dugongs stood in rows behind Scar and Killer. Zeus nodded and shouted "First Division: Darkness Dugongs!" The Dugongs barked loudly and all saluted, Zeus nodded and put his mask back on before saying "You don't know me, I don't know you. Understand?"

Scar barked and nodded with respect, Zeus nodded and waved "Disperse! Remember what I told you!" Scar saluted and Zeus flew into the air, disappearing from the Dugongs' sight.

Scar watched him go with awe in his eyes, Killer barked next to him "Boss, what do we do now?" Scar barked back "We train! We can't disappoint Master's brother! I have a feeling our Dugongs will rise from today forward!" the Dugongs all cheered and started to train vigorously in the Six Powers, Haki, and Seimei Kikan. The first division of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet was born today!

Zeus flew after the crew in a good mood, he left a lightning mark on Scar when he patted his head. He had all the cards in his hands now, a fervent look appeared in his eyes. Who was going to stop him from his goals? He still remembered what his mother said, that was why he wanted the Dugongs to remain low-key for the time being, when the time was right, he would give them the signal to show their true colors. He could only hope that they would take his words seriously and train their hardest, he didn't know why but he kept getting a feeling that there was a crisis heading for him extremely slowly.

He didn't like this feeling at all and started making preparations immediately. First was the Dugongs, he already counted Bartolomeo, Cavendish, Hajrudin, Ideo, Leo, Sai, and Orlumbus along with their crews in the fleet. He needed someone for underground relations and he had the perfect person in mind, the only problem was this person needed to be controlled or it would bite him in the ass sooner or later.

He was contemplating how to control his candidate as he followed the crew secretly through the desert. He was brought out of his thoughts when the crew arrived at Yuba, the town that was covered in sand. After calling Smoker and telling him to go to Rainbase, the crew went into a house to sleep for the night before going back to Nanohara.

Zeus was watching the stars when he saw a fireball shoot into the sky, he smirked and flew over. Eventually he disappeared from the cloud and landed on the ground in front of Ace, who looked at him and said "Why are you following them?"

Zeus laughed and said "Do I need your approval?" Ace frowned and Zeus sneered "You're still not stronger than me." Ace was confused before Zeus chuckled and shot out a red lightning bolt from his fingers, Ace dodged and had his eyes open wide as he shouted excitedly "Zeus!"

Zeus took off his mask and grinned "Yo!" Ace rushed up and hugged Zeus tightly "I missed you! It's been like 10 years!" Zeus smiled and hugged him back "I missed you too! How have you been?" Ace dragged Zeus down and started talking about what happened to him in the past 10 years, Zeus took out a bottle of his prized Sake and two red cups as they talked and drank.

Zeus shared his 10 years with Ace and they talked for a long time, laughing and crying at the same time. Zeus decided to call Garp and heard his voice "Yo brat!" Zeus laughed and said "Oi! Smelly old man! Someone wants to talk to you!" Garp was confused and Ace chuckled "Hey Gramps!"

Garp was stunned and left HQ and went to his house before laughing "BWAHAHAH Ace! How's it going?" Ace, Zeus, and Garp talked for a while before Zeus said "You really need to find us a Granny old man." Ace opened his mouth wide and gave Zeus a big thumbs up, this brother of his was too bold. He actually said that to Gramps!

Garp said angrily "You must be missing my Fist of Love eh?" Zeus shivered but considered his position and said arrogantly "Hmph, what are you gonna do about it?!" Ace choked and prayed for Zeus in his heart, sure enough Garp sneered "We'll see what happens when I find you brat." Zeus started to sweat, he was too bold, he miscalculated "Gramps! I'm kidding! Hahaha Right Ace?!"

Ace turned his head and whistled to himself, Zeus paled and snapped "Ace you bastard! I'm gonna-" Garp cut him off saying "Live well brat." before hanging up, Zeus shivered and mumbled "I'm finished..."

Ace patted him on the shoulder and said seriously "Zeus. I am your number 1 fan. You actually dared to tease gramps, I don't know if you're tired of living or just plain crazy but you have my prayers." needless to say this didn't make Zeus happy, he almost collapsed and muttered "It's over, my sweet life is finished.."

Ace broke his serious facade and laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes, Zeus was angry and started to beat him up. A dust brawl came and went, and a few minutes later they were back in their sitting positions.

Zeus coughed and said seriously "Ace. I know what you're doing." Ace stopped smiling and kept silent, Zeus continued "I'm not going to stop you, but I want you to know that there are people who care about you more than you think. If you're really going to do this, be prepared. If you don't promise me to bring back up I will lock you up."

Zeus really wasn't joking around this time and Ace knew it. Zeus and Garp were quite similar in this aspect, he nodded and said "I will find help." Zeus stretched out his hand and cut his palm as he said "Promise me!" Ace decisively cut his palm and clasped his hand with Zeus' as he said seriously "I promise."

Zeus smiled and hugged Ace hard "Great! I can rest easy!" he felt a load lifted off his shoulders. Ace smiled and they cleaned their wounds before they continued talking about everything, laughing and drinking the night away. The sun rose and Ace stood up before saying "You should probably go back to hiding no?"

Zeus smiled and put on his mask before standing up and pulling his vivre card out of his cloud, he ripped off a piece and gave it to Ace, who took his own and gave it to Zeus.

Zeus stuffed the vivre card in his cloud before saying seriously "Come to me if you have any troubles. Regardless of my identity I will help you." Ace sniffed as he felt tears form, he hugged Zeus and said "I will bro." Zeus patted his back and separated from Ace as he said "Be careful." Ace smiled and walked away, Zeus watched him go with a smile before cleaning up the scene and floating back up with his cloud, ready to follow Luffy to Rainbase.
