Chapter One
"What a twadle prophecy!!!!!, I can get you beheaded this minute if you do not mind your words. The era of the chosen one has long been destroyed, after I killed the last chosen one ( zako). Don't forget that it was you who told me that if I was successful in killing zako during the full moon that no other chosen one would be brought to existence". Adolphus( the supreme vampire) stated angrily.
"Yes those were my words, but I never knew that a new chosen one had already been conceived before the assassination of zako. Chosen ones are appointed once in 4 years, and you killed zako on the 4th year of his tenure as the chosen one, which means that the new chosen one was already in existence before zako was uprooted. Also this case is very different because chosen ones has to be up to the age of 18, but this one has not even been born; which means that there must be something special about the new chosen one". Aziz (the seer) replied in a trembling tone.
"Enough Aziz, you are a seer, and you should be able to see things even before it happens. Do not make me regret the decision I made in making you a seer in my territory. Infact to end this once and for all, who is this new chosen one, born or yet to be born. Tell me his location so that I will go now and but an end to his miserable excuse of a life". Adolphus asked as he furiously stands up from his throne. "Calm down supreme one, it's not too late. The chosen one has only been conceived but has not been born. Am sorry supreme one, but his identity and location is yet to be reviewed to me". Aziz replied staring at the floor. Adolphus could not take it anymore, he speedily rushed Aziz, bent his neck to the left and bite it." Aaaaaaaaah!!!!!!" Aziz shouted as he fell to the ground covered in a pool of his blood.
Lucy, Lucy , where are you my love?. Am at the garden darling she replied." Ooo here you are, and I have been looking for you inside the house". Bryan said as he hugged Lucy and gave her a peck. "Why were you looking for me, and yes before I forget; you went to meet Amafura( the seer) right? So what did she say about our unborn child" Lucy asked curiously. Bryan smiled, held Lucy's hand and said, "well Amafura said that we are going to have a baby, though the gender was not specified. "And" Lucy said as she couldn't wait to hear the full story. "And that our baby is going to be the new chosen one", Bryan concluded with a huge smile on his face.
"Tell me you are kidding" Lucy shouted in excitement. I knew it, I knew that our baby had to be an extraordinary being, I always had that feeling ever since the day I saw zako in my dream, telling me to protect my offspring in anyway that I can". Lucy said with a radiating smile on her face. " You know what honey" she continued, since you are a vampire and I a werewolf, I think that our child will have the special abilities of both a vampire and a werewolf. And of course I know that you will be bothered that Adolphus will surely decide to come after us, and murder our baby, being it that he/she stands as a threat to him. But believe me when I say that I Lucy, daughter of Morgana and white werewolf of the night, will not let a hair on my child's head be touched. "Come here my love" Byran said as he pulled Lucy closer to him, staring into her eyes. "I Byran, son of Azura, knight of the vampires and husband to Lucy, promise this day that I will not let anything happen to either you or my unborn child even it's the last thing I do on earth". "Shhhh, do not say such my love, I can't live a day without you. You are going nowhere, together we will destroy the supreme one and bring up our child together" Lucy quoted as she placed her finger on Bryan's lips.
"Ok, enough of all this melodrama, let us go inside the house; so you will rest your head on my legs while I give you a head massage, Byran lifted Lucy off the ground, and took her inside the house.
"I need a powerful seer, even if it means I will cross the seven seas and mountains to get it done. Aunt Brenda, we have to take off the new chosen one at any cost. You know as well as I do that I have to dominate this city at any cost, so that the vampires will have the opportunity to roam freely around the city. The prophecy has to be stopped at any cost" Adolphus lamented bitterly. "You have every right to be tensed my boy, but you have to calm down. After all, the new chosen one has not even been born talk more of turning 18, so how will he develop the powers to destroy you. Moreover you have the cursed pill inside of you, and you can use it at anytime to poses the power of a seer". Said aunt Brenda as she tries to calm Adolphus's temper.
"Yuh, you are right, how could I have forgotten such a thing" he replied. Adolphus came down from his throne and headed to the center of his territory.
"Black powers of the night,
soul and body conceived of evil,
Child of darkness,
order of the black alter,
Spirit of the dead,
I beseech you this day, rise this day and grant me my heart desires. I need the power of vision to look into the future, and see he that has been conceived to destroy me".As soon as this evil spells were concluded, Adolphus eyes turn red, the black pill came off his palm, and he was granted the power of vision. In his state of immortality, he was able to see the parents of the chosen one. It was now his responsibility to track them down and murder the Carrier of the chosen one. Adolphus was very happy that he has been able to locate the said benefactors of the chosen one.
The next day, as soon the sun started casting it's bright light on the surface of the earth. Adolphus set out on the journey with the rest of his kind to put an end to all his problem.
Byran had gone to his plantain plantation to harvest the riped once, while Lucy who was in the 2nd month of her pregnancy, had to stay at home to avoid stressing herself and the offspring in her womb. On Adolphus way to fullfil his long time desire, some werewolves spotted him from a far and had to obstruct him. "Adolphus how dare you step your legs in the area dominated by the werewolves". Marshal one of the werewolves said.
" I have no time to banter words with you, get off my way or you will regret your actions" Adolphus replied angrily. The werewolves refused to back down, so they got into a fight with the vampires. As the battle was getting tougher, Marshal had to run back to inform the others of what was happening.
"Woohooooo!!!!" Shouted Marshal. On hearing this, Lucy ran to open the window in other to see what was happening. Hold and behold the vampires has attacked the werewolves without their notice. Lucy was shocked and scared, as she immediately knew that Adolphus had surely come for her unborn child, so she had to hide inside her wardrobe. Byran who was at his plantation, had already started rushing back home on hearing the danger sound made by the werewolf under attack. On the other hand, Adolphus was able to find his way into the house. He kept on searching for Lucy, but she was nowhere to be seen. Adolphus then believed that she must have ran away. He ran out in search of her using the back door. Lucy knew that Adolphus had left, so she came out of the wardrobe and stared running to meet Byran at the farm. As she was able to run out of the house through the back door, she ran towards a big field only to come face to face with Adolphus. She had the ability of transforming into a werewolf during the day, but she couldn't as she was already pregnant, and could not stand the pains of her joint shift during her transformation. Lucy couldn't give up that easily, so she positioned herself for Adolphus attack. " Noooo, don't stop, keep on running. Are you tried?, So can I now come and end your stress? Adolphus laughed out loud on saying this. Immediately, Adolphus rushed Lucy in order to murder her; but from nowhere Byran showed up and knocked him to the ground.
"Run far away from here Lucy, I will handle him". Byran said loudly.
"Never, I will not leaving you alone with this monster. I might be pregnant, but I still have the blood of a werewolf running through my veins" Lucy replied with tears rolling down her cheek.
