~Year 500ish AD~
~Alexzander POV~
It's been close to a decade, I believe at least, since I've start my new life and it's been rather fulfilling to say the least.
I've spent the better part of the last ten years, renovating my village. There now is food storage, tool storage, wells and everything else a man needs to survive.
Other then building and surviving, I've spent a considerable amount of my time as a Wolf. My Inner Wolf and I have gotten quite close.
We work together it tantrum with each other. I've even gained the ability to turn at will no matter the time or day, I've also got my inner wolfs instincts and sense which are remarkably useful for hunts and other everyday activities.
The only other thing I've spent my time on is improving myself physically. I workout most days and train with the various weapons I've created.
Such as Swords which I've been able to create from bones and a metal I'm pretty sure is bronze. I also practice with my bow and daggers. But my favourite is definitely the spear, there's something I find enjoyable about fighting with a spear.
The only thing I've been missing is human contact, it was okay for the first couple of years as I never did like dealing with other people and their problems but now. Well I would love to have a decent chat with someone who can talk back.
Which is why I'm currently heading towards the only human or well werewolf village I've seen in the last 10 years.
~Scene Change~
Braking through the tree line I finally spot the Wolf tribe as I call them. It takes a couple days travel to get here from my home.
Their little village is bigger then mine but not as well developed, which isn't surprising considering I'm from modern times. 'Haha suckers'
But they have a few things I've desperately wanted the last couple years, Animals. From what I can see they have Horses, Turkeys and Chickens. God the things I'd do for some fried Chicken right now and I can't quite explain it but I'm actually super jealous of them right now.
I do actually pick up on a strong scent of another Wolf, probably the alpha who marked this area as their territory. I spot a couple of guard dogs *Cough* I mean other Wolfs patrolling the area.
Deciding to just go with the flow, I head over to one of the guards to introduce myself.
(A/N: Naturally I've no idea how people 1500 years ago spoke so I'll just write it as if they spoke perfect modern English)
Surprisingly quickly the guards pick up in my scent and snap their heads in my direction. They quickly decide that I might be hostile and prepare to fire their bows at me.
Which I'm not really surprised about either as I am carrying about 5 different weapons on me and I obviously smell like a Wolf.
"Hey no need to be so hostile" I say holding up my hands. The guards pause before two of the guard dogs lower their bows and approach me.
"What do you want?" One of the guards accentually growls out.
"I'm just here to introduce myself, it's been awhile since I've met another Wolf" I explain telling half truths.
"So you are also like us?" the other guard questions but it sounds more like a statement.
"Indeed I am, for the last 144 full moons give it take a full moon" I reply giving him a smile.
"I'll fetch out Alpha, he'll decide what to do" the guard says running off into their village.
"So how you doing?" I awkwardly ask the remaining guard.
"Could be better, the wife's pregnant sooo" The remaining guard trails off.
"Ah say no more, I understand" I tell him, even thou I completely didn't understand. "So your alpha, what's he like?"
"Hmm, strong" is all the guard answer with.
Before I can ask him what he meant or continue questioning him, I spot two men approaching us one is the guard who left earlier, the other is a tall, muscular and I'm not afraid to say it handsome man whom I believe is the Alpha.
"This is the man Adriel" The guard says pointing at me.
"Please do leave us" Adriel tells the guards giving them a smile that seems to relax them.
As soon as they leave Adriels smile drops and he stands up straight, but doesn't reach my full hight of 6 foot 5 inches.
"Who are you and what do you want? Don't bother lying I'll know" Adriel says gruffly.
"I'm Alexzander" I say putting a hand on my chest. "And I'm just here to met new Wolfs. I've never seen any other the myself" I explain politely.
Now normally I would be this polite to some random dude, but I do believe that you don't just enter another mans home and take a shit, It's disrespectful.
"Your not pack of a pack?" Adriel asks surprised.
"A pack of one, myself" I tell him. Adriel furrows his brows clearly think of something before he opens his mouth to ask me.
"So you've never ran with anyone before?"
"No, never have" I reply, slightly confused at the direction of the conversation.
"Is there anything else you want?" Adriel asks again, clearly finished with his other line of though.
"Ah yeah, I'd like to trade" I tell him, pointing at my weapons.
"Where did you get these? I've never seen anything like them" Adriel asks looking over my bronze weapons.
"I made them" I tell him.
"Hmm, very well you can enter the village. But you have to hand over all your weapons" Adriel tells me, which I agree easily with.
I'm pretty confident that even without my weapons I can escape or just straight up turn into a Wolf and crave my way out.
After handing over my weapons, Adriel begins to give me a small tour of his village. While on the tour with him, I notice that the people of this little tribe always look at Adriel with respect and adoration.
So I was curious about why this is so I simply asked a question that would solve this issue. "Are you also the chieftain?"
"That didn't take long, but yes I am" Adriel reply's smirking a little at me.
"Aren't you a little too young?" I ask knowing that the role of the chieftain is mostly to make sure that a tribes customs are fulfilled.
"The Alpha and Chieftain roles are that same to my people" Adriel explains.
"How do you choose an Alpha then?" I continue.
"That's how" Adriel answers by pointing to a group of people who are fighting inside a circle that's been drawn in the ground.
"You fight?" I ask understand their selection a little bit.
"Yes, the strongest Wolf gets to be Alpha and lead the tribe. I'm the Alpha now, but if someone challenges me and I lose they become Alpha and Chieftain" Adriel tells me.
The two of us stay silent as we watch a fight unfold inside the fighting circle. It looks to be a free for all consisting of 5 fighters all male and under 18 by the looks of it.
The fight is far more brutal then I would've thought at first. The fighters aren't as skill as professional fighters from modern times, but these fighters are able to go further and use dirty tricks as-well.
One fighter on the smaller side, tosses some dirt from the ground until another's eyes then slams a kick into his knee braking his leg.
"Is there another reason for these fights as they are quite brutal?" I ask honestly.
"Ahaha yes there is. As Wolfs we're attracted to strength, this is the best way to show your strength to attract the attention of a partner" Adriel explains.
'That explains why these kids are so brutal. They are just super horny'
"Should you like to have a go?" Adriel ask me pointing to the fighting circle.
"Ah no I don't really fight for fun" I tell him.
"Nonsense. Ahote, Alexzander here would like to challenge you!" Adriel shouts getting everyone's attention.
(A/N: Ahote - A-Who-Tay)
A young man who looks to be around 17 to 19, walks over to us. He's a decent build an around 6ft tall.
"You want me to fight this old man Adriel" Ahote asks grinning at me.
I didn't want to fight, let alone a child. But not this kid has chosen death.
"I do" Adriel tells him. "Unless you don't think you can?"
"No worry's I got it" Ahote says before looking at me. "You need to stretch old man?"
"No, I'm all good" I tell him smiling in innocently as I plan out all the ways I could end this cheeky brat.
"Well let's take this to the ring then" Adriel says clasping Ahotes and my shoulders.
