Answer My Question
Gu Xin Ye lowered the food in her hand and placed it on the table. Then, she slowly planned to retreat. However, before she could make such a move, Shen Yi Nian already grabbed her hand, stopping her in action.
"Xin Ye, where do you think you are going?" Shen Yi NIan's lips twitched a few times. She almost could not believe that her friend would even attempt to escape.
Gu Xin Ye looked at the food on the table.
Just now, she was so engrossed in listening to Shen Yi Nian's story that she did not realize that she had eaten a lot of food. Lamb skewers, sweet potatoes, battered calamari...
"I was just going to the bathroom to wash my hands?" Gu Xin Ye said. There was a hint of uncertainty in her answer.
Shen Yi Nian laughed. "Alright, young miss. You are not getting anywhere before I am satisfied with your answer. Look. I was supposed to grill you last night, but you were pretending to sleep early."
