Angry Customer

"Sister, come on."

Luo Jun's voice snapped her out of her trance. Gu Xin Ye wrapped washed her hands and wiped them clean before walking over.

"Sister, take this bowl and send it over to that table," Luo Jun said as he pointed to a group of customers. "Don't worry. Sister, you've got this. I will look over you."

Seeing the boy trying to cheer her up made her feel more at ease. Surprisingly, Lu Jun would be this cute.

"Luo Jun, thank you." Gu Xin Ye smiled.

Taking a deep breath, Gu Xin Ye walked over to the noodle station.

"Gu Xin Ye." Qin Zhan spoke her name.

"Ah?"

"If you do a good job today, I will consider giving you a raise."

The corner of her lips twitched. She was the heir of the GDB Group. Would she care for that little raise? If Qin Zhan could promise that he will come back and work for her company, she would be thankful!

Gu Xin Ye picked up the bowl and placed it on the customer's table. She told them to enjoy their food and asked whether they will be needing anything else.

This might not be the first time that she had served food to the customer. However, it was the first time that Qin Zhan had allowed her to serve food during peek hour.

On the weekdays, the customers who came to this stall were mostly the villagers. Therefore, the atmosphere was not that stressful.

However, it was different during the weekend. With the busy stall, it was easy for one to make mistake. This was the reason Qin Zhan had never allowed her to serve food during peek hour.

He wanted her to watch Luo Qi and Luo Jun at work before he would let her serve food.

Qin Zhan had wanted to let Gu Xin Ye observe more. However, it seemed that he could no longer wait that long. Even though Gu Xin Ye was not ready, she had no other choice but to prepare herself.

As he was preparing the noodles in his station, Qin Zhan continued to watch Gu Xin Ye serving the food to the customers.

Once a group of customers left, Gu Xin Ye was quick to clean up the table and send the dirty bowls to the back.

With Luo Jun's guidance, Gu Xin Ye was quick to pick up the pace. The two of them would take turns to serve, clean the table, and take the money from the customers.

Seeing that the girl seemed to have no problem with this new task, Qin Zhan was finally at ease.

Qin Zhan began to focus on preparing the noodles and their movement began to speed up a little bit. Everything was moving smoothly even without Luo Qi at the side.

Qin Zhan was in the middle of slicing some meat at his station when he suddenly heard one of the customers roaring in anger.

His movement stopped and his eyes narrowed.

Qin Zhan located the angry customer and saw that a man was seen scolding Gu Xin Ye.

The man was half bald and was wearing an expensive watch on his wrist. His Mercedes keys were on the table. It was as if he wanted to let everyone know about the car he was driving.

At the side, the man's two friends were watching as their friend scolded Gu Xin Ye with a smile on their faces.

Seeing the way they reacted, Qin Zhan suddenly had a feeling that something was a little fishy.

His gaze shifted to Gu Xin Ye.

The woman had her head lowered as she stared at the bowl of noodles that had spilled on the ground.

It was the one that he had prepared earlier. Gu Xin Ye had just taken the bowl and sent it over to the customers.

The soup was still hot and steaming.

From where he stood, Qin Zhan saw that Gu Xin Ye was holding her left arm.

"Is this how you served?" The half-bald man scolded. "Look at this. You spilled the noodles. The soup was still hot. What would happen if they splashed at me?"

The other customers could only watch this scene and scoffed.

In their opinion, Gu Xin Ye deserved to be scolded for her carelessness.

"Even if this s only a small noddle stall, you should know to treat customers gently," the man continued to scold. "You seemed like a new worker. Haven't you learned things properly?"

Gu Xin Ye stared at the noodles at her feet with pity. They were noodles that Qin Zhan had worked hard to prepare. However, this customer had wasted Qin Zhan's time and energy when he let the bowl fall.

She raised her head and stared at the half-bald man intently. "Sir, you have gone overboard," Gu Xin Ye's voice was loud and clear.

"You..." The half-bald man was shocked to see the way Gu Xin Ye was staring back at him. He had thought that after he scolded the girl a little bit, she would cower in fear and start to apologize.

Moreover, Gu Xin Ye's gaze seemed like she was not an easy person to bully.

"I was serving your noodles when you suddenly touched my bum," Gu Xin Ye continued. "The noodles spilled because you wanted to hold my hand. What you did is sexual harassment. I could report you to the police."

The onlookers began to whisper. They did not think that there would be a twist to this plot.

Noticing that the others were giving him a dirty look, the half-bald man finally knew how to get scared. He looked back at Gu Xin Ye with his face red. "You... you speak nonsense. Don't accuse me of something I didn't do. When did I touch you? Do you know who I am?"

Gu Xin Ye gave that man a look over.

Although the man tried to dress lavishly, he only seemed like a local tyrant. Even if she knew who he was, she would not be afraid of him.

Wanting to bully her and think that she would not fight back? This man must be dreaming.
