A Complication
Gu Xin Ye was still chatting with Grandpa Qian happily about his fishing trip when she suddenly heard a loud noise from the noodle station.
She turned around and saw that Qin Zhan stood at his usual spot while pressing his phone to his ear. He did not say a word but continued to listen to the other person on the line.
After watching him for a while, Gu Xin Ye was quick to notice that there was something wrong with Qin Zhan's expression. His face was pale.
Gu Xin Ye walked over to him and looked at him curiously. She waited until Qin Zhan was done with his phone call before calling his name. "Qin Zhan?"
Hearing the familiar voice, made Qin Zhan shift his gaze to Gu Xin Ye.
"Are you alright?" Gu Xin Ye asked. The frown on her face deepened. Now that she was closer to him, Gu Xin Ye realized that the look on Qin Zhan's face was a little scary.
She was suddenly curious to know who was calling him earlier.
