Chapter 35 - Challenge.

Shawn smiled as he looked at the drawings of the two races that he had made. For the first race that he designed he added black scales to cover their head to their backs and some parts of their arms.

For the areas that did not have black scales their skin was revealed to be copper like in colour and from their heads you could see a pair of white horns.

Their eyes were dark red in colour and this made them look terrifying. Shawn decided to call them Draconians.

As for the other race that he had drawn, he gave them long red hair and green eyes but their bodies had dark grey skin and one could see the thick muscles he gave them especially the male.

Shawn called the race from the design the Greykins.

"Time to describe their attributes" Shawn said as he proceeded to describe the draconians first.

"The Draconians have bodies that are suited to withstand the volcanic regions and the lands around them and their hierarchical structure is based on kratocracy.

They also have a little bit of pyrokinetic abilities such as energetic ability, heat generation and immunity, fire negation and so on.

But their energy is physical energy which is based on improving the body" He said.

"As for the Greykins their principles and ways of life are spiritual as they follow a system of noocracy. Their mana energy is mainly earth based and their bodies are naturally strong and can be compared to the level of stones"

For the ages of both races Shawn set the age for the draconians at 150 to 180 years and for the Greykins it was 120 to 130 years.

After describing the characteristics of both races Shawn placed the races in the north western continent. The Greykins were made to live in the southern highlands of the continent that bordered coastal plains.

"Do I have anything else to do?" Shane asked himself.

*Just get on with it already!*

"Why are you shouting at me?"

*Because you have been delaying for too long*

"How long will it take before 1,500 years would be completed?" Shawn asked.

**Sigh* At least five days* The system replied.

Shawn took a deep breath as he sat down on the sofa within the dark room and watched the inhabitants of Ornio continue their daily life.

It was at that moment that four figures appeared in front of him.

"Urkezi, Zoguz, Dulgol and Blan all bowed while bending their heads to greet Shawn.

Shawn smiled as he looked at them "What brings the four of you to visit me at once?" He asked.

Urkezi the thawn spoke "Great Master Shawn. We have come here today to ask for your permission to allow us to also have our territories like the other four before us"

Shawn laughed before saying "Is that all?"

The four nodded in reply to his question.

"There was no need for you to ask. If the first four higher beings had theirs what makes you different from them" He said.

Hearing his reply, bright smiles bloomed on the four's faces as they thanked Shawn and disappeared.

"System why have you not yet given me the notification signal that I asked for?" Shawn spoke angrily in his mind.

*Was I?*

"Whatever. I'm just going to watch a long series. Popcorn please" Shawn said.

Beside shawn on the Sofa appeared a large container containing popcorn appeared in front of him.

Shawn dipped his hand inside the container and began to eat popcorn as he watched 1,500+ years of Ornio pass.

The first thing that had occurred before was the death of the higher being messengers during the 200 years that Shawn had skipped.

The Higher Beings felt the need to choose another batch of messengers. But among them only Kadan decided to choose a new messenger or what he preferred to call 'Student'.

Kadan smiled as he remembered the time he met this 'Student' of his.

After the 200 years time skip, the Goldorn Tribes had grown and expanded and some of them had followed the enlightenment methods used by Idan and the 14 goldorns who followed him to the cave.

The 15 goldorns travelled to other places to spread the teachings that Kadan had taught them while they were still in the cave..

Unfortunately for the enlighteners, some of the goldorn tribes rejected their teachings and chased them away from their lands.

Even at the point of being chased away, the goldorns still refused to stop their teachings and went from tribe to tribe to continue their mission of enlightenment and mana concepts.

Eventually, their efforts payed off and they managed to convert a few tribes that were at the north west of the north central lands to follow their ways and teachings.

After the enlighteners had all passed on more enlighteners continued the original mission of the first enlighteners and spread their teachings of the rest of the goldorn tribes.

After the 200 year time skip, many of the goldorn tribes in the north west had embraced the enlighteners idealogy. The enlighteners especially Idan had become revered by the goldorns living there.

Somewhere in the south western part of the north central a young goldorn who was holding a copper sword stood at the feet of an elder goldorn and also bending his head.

"Recently, more enlighteners have been entering the south western lands in their mission of spreading their mana concepts and enlightenment. I want you to go there and scout the reason why the goldorns of the south west decided to accept this idealogy"

"But what is so wrong about their idealogy and concepts? Elder" Yivan asked.

"Their concepts and idealogy involves one to detach himself from family, tribe and become a wanderer who is in search of something that he might not find throughout his life and give up.

Many goldorns have become wanderers and have nothing to show for it. And those who do cannot provide answers as to why some of them do not" The elder goldorn replied.

Yivan stood up, bowed his head and left the wood and earthen made residence of the elder goldorn.

Yivan went on his travel from the the vast tropical forests of the south west to the dry sub humid and savannah regions of the north west.

Yivan travelled to the north west lands as a wandering trader. On his mission to explore the reasons why the goldorns would accept such idealogy he stumbled upon a cave in the arid regions after a sand storm came upon him.

He had no idea that this was the cave that birthed the enlighteners. After entering the cave he saw an old goldorn sitting on the floor of the cave and holding a stick on one side.

It was then the Yivan remembered the stories about the enlighteners that he had heard from the goldorns.

"You must be the old goldorn who taught the enlighteners" Yivan said respectfully.

The old goldorn who had his eyes closed suddenly opened them and looked at Yivan before he replied "They called me Master Kadan" Kadan replied.

"But how is it that you have not gone with the passing of time?" Yivan asked.

"You should know by now?" Kadan replied as his hand stroked his long beard and he looked at the young Yivan intently.

Yivan eye's widened as his feet pulled him to the ground. "You are not a goldorn. You are something much more" He said as realization hit him.

"Stand up" Kadan said.

Yivan who was still shaking stood up from his position as he looked at Kadan with fear now evident in his eyes.

"You have come into my residence with a blade. Your level is at 18, not bad for a young goldorn of your age. Show me what you have learnt over your years of wielding it" Kadan smiled as he took his antler staff with the crystal of the mana deer still attached to it as he swiped the staff across the cave.

From the ground of the cave, stones began to gather as Yivan felt the rumbling sounds being made. Before he knew it, he was seeing three part rock and part sand golems in his presence.

"Time to see what the Warrior of Roaso possesses. Pass this challenge and you get to live" said Kadan.
