Chapter 36 - Mana Warrior.

Yivan looked at the three golems that had been made in his presence and unsheathed his sword. The fear in his eyes was gone and this impressed Kadan.

"First scared and then brave. He is quick to pull himself together" said Kadan.

Yivan pointed his sword at the three golems and shouted "Come at me with all you got" As soon as he said that, his copper sword glowed as he started to infuse energy into the sword.

Soon, one of the golems moved to attack him. Yivan moved his feet in response to the attack, his sword glowing as the aura around him became stronger and he dashed towards the golem.

"It seems his mana affinity is more likely to be associated with someone under speed" Kadan analyzed.

The golem swung it's massive stone arm towards him but he was able to react and evade the attack in time. Upon evading the attack he turned and slashed his sword at the golem's back.

Unfortunately, his sword failed to cause any attacks at the golem's back but it only angered it as it turned and slammed another of its hands on Yivan.

Yivan in response to this shot his palm forward as a mana ball was released from his palm which collided with the floor of the cave and the force generated helped to propel him away from the golem.

He managed to escape the danger and stared at the golem as it continued to approach him.

"Time to increase the difficulty" Kadan said as he pointed his staff and the second golem left it's position to engage with Yivan.

"Two level 20 strong opponents against a Level 23 normal opponent is not fair" Yivan shouted.

"Nothing is fair. If you were fighting real then you wouldn't have time to complain" Kadan said.

The second golem walked towards Yivan and shot a punch towards him.

Yivan shot another mana ball to collide with the cave floor and use the force to propel him further away as he escaped the range of the two golems.

But in the process, he accidentally hit the back of a stalagmite and felt an immense wave of pain.

He struck his sword at the floor of the cave in order to provide support as he beared with the pain. He had to think of a way and think of it fast as the two golems were heading towards him.

Yivan smiled as he channelled his mana to his feet and managed to take a big leap when the two golems were in front of him.

He landed at the back of both golems and once again struck his blade at the back of one of the golems.

But this time, the copper sword glimmered as it came in contact with a wide crack in the golem's back. The sword released a bright light which transferred into the body of the golem causing ripples to be felt.

Yivan screamed as he pulled the sword out of the crack and shot it back into the crack of the golem.

The golem's red eyes dimmed as rocks fell from it's body structure which announced his death. Yivan smiled upon seeing this.

"Seems like i was right. I needed to use my mana to dispel the golem. I just needed to get it to affect the core. After all, they were made from mana, they can surely be dispelled by mana" He said.

The other golem roared as it charged towards Yivan. The latter stretched his palm and shot out a blast of mana towards the golem.

The blast collided with the golem's chest and made a hole in it, though it didn't destroy it. But what followed next was a sword slash made purely out of mana which suddenly appeared and sliced around the hole of the golem thereby cutting it down.

Kadan smiled and looked at the third golhat was still in it's position. "How about speed and agility" He said as he stretched his staff towards the golem.

A bright light appeared around the golem before it dimmed. "Now charge" Kadan ordered.

The golem sprinted towards Yivan who was in shock. The golem appeared in front of him and threw a punch towards him. Yivan snapped out of his state of shock as he barely avoided the attack of the golem..

But little did he expect that the golem's reaction speed will also be fast as the latter threw another blow towards him..

Yivan could only use his sword to block the attack of the golem and this threw him backwards as he hit the floor of the cave.

Yivan tried to get up only to see the golem appear and throw another punch at him. He rolled away from the golem and when he was in the safe zone he took deep breaths.

"I need to restrict before I can get a chance to attack" Yivan said.

His eyes darted around before they landed on the stalactites on the roof. Yivan smiled as an idea appeared in his mind again.

The golem ran towards Yivan and tried to land another punch at him but this time Yivan shot out a blast of mana and propelled himself away from the golem.

He landed close to the wall of the cave and golem that was unrelenting jumped at him while throwing it's fist.

Yivan barely dodged the fist that collided with the wall and caused the cave to rumble.

At that point Yivan shot out a blast of mana towards the roofing of the cave which collided with the stalactite above.

The stalactite was detached from the roof of the cave and fell towards the golem.

The golem was about to react to the incoming attack but at that moment, a slash made out of mana hit the golem as the stalactite collided with it and crushed it under it's weight.

Yivan ran towards the golem and slashed at the head. Upon collision with the head, a rippling slash spread throughout the golem's body and separated it into two.

Yivan began to pant after launching the final blow against the last boss. He turned to look at Kadan who was still in his old looking goldorn form.

Yivan wanted to point his sword at Kadan but he felt compelled to fall as he placed his sword at the floor to provide support. That was when he noticed the curve in his copper sword.

"You are strong but why?" He asked while panting.

"Because I needed to know if you were worthy" Kadan answered.

At that moment, Yivan felt rejuvenated as he heard the systems notification.

*Ding* Congratulations you have reached level 25*

"You must really feel thankful that I put you through that test" Kadan said.

"Just what level are you?" Yivan asked.

"Above 50" Kadan replied.

Yivan's eyes widened as soon as he heard the reply.

"Enough arguing. Since you are severely tired and drained after that long battle, I will heal you but one condition"

"And why would I agree to a condition from you" Yivan showed his disinterest.

Because the rejuvenation you feel is temporary. If I am correct, you are probably in the starting phase of the level and not close to the intermediary or advanced phases of the realm and are therefore weak in this state.

Besides, you might gain a lot of new fighting techniques and more ways to use your sword alongside your mana" Kadan explained.

"Yeah a broken sword" Yivan said before he harrumphed.

"Education is better than ignorance" Kadan said.

"An offer from a figure like me comes once in a lifetime" He added.

After a few moments of Silence, Yivan finally spoke "Now that I think about it, I will agree to your terms to learn" Yivan said as he dropped his sword and bowed to Kadan who stood in front of him.

"Take me In Old Master Goldorn" He said.

Kadan just laughed and said "Just call me old master"

While Kadan picked a new messenger, the rest of the Higher Beings chose messengers from the bloodline of their first messengers. The first child of Alvinia, Selmer was named the second messenger of the Ikdorn.

It was a rainy day in Alvinia's Tribe. Alvinia looked across the elven houses and surroundings with no clear sign of her daughter.

"This has gotten even more serious. Where is Selmer now" Alvinia asked.

Within the deeper sections of the forests sat a young elf under a tree.

"I wonder how I will be able to return home and explain to mother that I played so much to the extent I lost track of time" said a young Selmer.

Beside Selmer was a young deer that rested on her legs. Selmer patted the young deer as it closed it's eyes and slept off.

A few minutes later, the rain stopped and the mother of the deer appeared in front of Selmer.

Selmer nodded and left upon seeing the deer's mother. "Now to handle mother's scolding" She said.
