The fall of Minas Ithil - Arc new ring

*******

Third POV:

Having just arrived in the city of the rising moon, Talion is surprised to discover that the troops of Mordor have already conquered the middle city and are now besieging the upper city.

Without further ado, Talion heads to the upper city to learn more about the situation.

The upper city is under constant fire from Mordor archers and siege beasts, who relentlessly fire flaming projectiles into the heart of the city. On the Gondorian side, they are trying as best they can to repel the onslaught, many archers are posted on the walls and return fire, sending volley after volley at the waves of orcs pressing on the main gate.

As for the soldiers, they are preparing for the break of the gate, they are in formation behind it, ready to pounce on any enemy.

Arriving on the scene, Talion can only note with bitterness the damage of the assault, the soldiers of Gondor have lost hope, even if they are ready to die for their homeland, it remains that they are men, and the hearts of men are easily swayed.

The material and human losses are immense, with the loss of the middle city, many soldiers have lost their lives, only a third of the soldiers are still alive, and of this third only half are not wounded and are in good shape.

Scouting the upper city, Talion spots one of the Gondorian leaders, Baranor, and jumps from a roof onto an esplanade to meet him.

Baranor sees Talion approaching and starts a discussion with him.

"Talion, things are not going as planned here, I'm afraid the city will fall".

Then he turns to his advisors and asks "Where are the reinforcements?"

"I don't know my lord, they should be here" his advisor replies before being interrupted by a guard

"Lord Baranor, General Castamir is nowhere to be found".

"He has been for hours now" says Baranor

"Where was he last seen and what should he do? I must find him" Talion said while mentally communicating with his followers via the power of the ring.

"He was accompanying Idril to the great hall but he -" Baranor replied before being interrupted by shrill screams from the sky

*Screeeeech*

Green lights appear in the night and each one produces a shrill cry as they twirl over the city.

"The nazguls, everyone to his post! " shouts Baranor equipping himself with his sword.

Then without warning, a green fireball hits the gate of the upper city destroying it. The explosion also had an effect on the Gondorian ranks as the first line of defense was blown up by the explosion, some burned by it.

With the gate destroyed, a surge of orcs flooded into the upper city, making contact with the Gondorian soldiers.

Talion communicates with his followers who have infiltrated the enemy lines. When Talion's moment arrives, his followers activate the stolen bombs used to blow up the walls.

*BOOOM*

The bombs explode, taking part of the orcs surging in the upper city. The orcs not being dead are blown up. This explosion gives time to Talion's followers to land on the back of the attacking army, creating a new battlefield.

Mordor's troops number in the thousands, while those of Gondor and Talion number in the hundreds.

But this troop, which has come to reinforce the Gondorians, does not have the real goal of victory, it is simply a distraction. This trap also eliminates a large number of enemy troops, which will prevent any reinforcements when Talion attacks Cirith Ungol.

This sudden explosion and second troop, allows Talion to sneak into the great hall, where many Gondorian relics are stored.

Not wanting to leave any precious treasures to the enemy, Talion grabs a few magical items and puts them in a bag and sets fire to the rest.

Talion then heads to the main hall, after entering, he sees Castamir being killed by the Witch king, the most powerful of the Nazguls, while Idril under this scene loses her mind and runs to Castamir's body in tears.

Behind the Witch king appears one after the other the nine nazguls, each of them is very powerful, possessing many powers, they inspire fear in the minds of men and all creatures in the middle earth.

Rarely together, this occasion is special and this one involves all of them.

"Where is the palantiri?" Questions the Witch king before turning to Talion and saying in a deep, evil voice.

"I no longer feel the presence of the Palantiri, are you the one who stole it, rangers? There is no point in resisting, you will sink into darkness and be bound to the one".

In a flash Talion infuses his blade with magic, teleports behind him with {spectral rush} cutting off one of his arms, then spins around at breakneck speed hitting the Witch king's knee with his leg throwing him off balance, then delivers a final sword strike to the head.

The sword strike only hits the air as the Witch King teleports away.

The Witch King looks at Talion, then at his arm, and realizing that he can no longer regenerate it, lets out a shrill scream before ordering in an evil, angry tone.

"Capture him! Torture him! Destroy his spirit!"

Following his command, the Nazguls disappear and attack Talion turn after turn, disappearing and reappearing one after the other around him.

Talion parries all the attacks, until the nazguls appear all at once around him ready to finish him off, at which point Talion concentrates magic in his hand and then hits the ground at high speed, pushing the nazguls back.

Using {spectral rush} he reappears further away, bends his bow and shoots some arrows at the Nazguls aiming at their heads but also their feet to freeze them in place.

Two nazguls are caught in the trap of the frost, Talion disappears again with spectral assassination to appear behind one of them and hits him in the heart.

The nazgul unable to defend himself disappears. Then Talion turns to the other nazgul and cuts off its head.

The enraged nazguls attack in high speed in turn Talion who once again is overwhelmed by the strength of each blow and the speed of execution and precision of the nazguls, only able to parry, Talion concentrates to use {Elven Rage} but suddenly the Witch King appears behind him without him being able to react and pierces Talion in the ribs.

Talion having moved his body to the left at the last moment avoids a direct blow to the heart which saves him.

Without warning, an elf intervenes in the fight, striking towards the Witch King and pushing him away from Talion. She then raises her pendant and creates a golden shield around her and Talion.

"You won't get it!" she shout "Not today, servants of Sauron!"

Wounded, out of energy and magical power, Talion agrees that his objective is successful, so he grabs the elf, teleports to Idril, then teleports out of the fight and Minas Ithil once more towards Cirith Ungol.

All this under the cold and evil eyes of the nazguls who can only scream
