Time Attack

(1st Person POV)

"Oh? It's over there!"

I said enthusiastically with a wide smile while looking at the Ring bull from a tree branch. I then look down to my team and they all seem out of breath except for Chae Nayun who only panting lighty while wiping her sweat on the forehead. Did I run too fast?

"Tachibana...*pant* ... You ran *pant*... too fast."

Oh.... I see. One of the extra said to me while panting like a dog. That answer my question. I then sit down on the branch nonchalantly and looking down to them with a smile as they look up to me

"No worries... It's only the first ten minutes. It's not like anyone have finish the mission yet. You guys can take a breather for five minutes."

I said with a cheerful yet lax tone as I lay down against the tree branch and take out my psp.

(Chae Nayun Pov)

Tachibana Shou.

A Japanese guy who looks like he is some average guy but actually the third highest cadet. I thought of him at first as my rival but the more I see this guy behaves the more I start to dislike the idea that he is actually above me in terms of physical and intelligence. Sure there is Kim Suho and Shin Jonghak. But the two of them have something in common and that is hardwork. Kim Suho train everyday in the gravity room at the training centre, although Shin Jonghak did not train everyday he's still did it because he want to beat Kim Suho.

But Tachibana Shou on the hand, is the opposite of the both of them. He sleeps in most of the classes, play that ancient relic when the class is boring and he is so carefree. Like a severe level of carefree. I believe he might not even care if his hand suddenly gets cut off. That is how severe his level of carefree.

I then look upwards to him only to see him playing with his pink psp while laying down against the tree branch along with his usual carefree smile that is always on his face. I thought that by electing this guy as the leader will make him a bit more responsible but it seems to be useless since he behaves like the usual man child he is.It's starting to get on my nerves that this lazy bum got higher rank than me. I don't like it.

I don't like him

(Five minutes later)

(3rd Person POV)

Tachibana who is currently playing with his psp suddenly feel bored and decide to turn it off and look towards the direction of the Ring bull. Fortunately it is still there. This cause Tachibana to look downwards to his team with an excited smile

"All right everyone let's go now!"

Rosen and Chun Lee face suddenly went pale because they've just managed to stabilise their breathing. Chae Nayun only click her tongue then stand up from the grass with an annoyed scowl.

"So what's the plan?"

Chae Nayun look upward towards Tachibana with a displeasure scowl as she said that. Tachibana then just smile at her while standing up from his sitting position and looking downwards to them

"The guy over there will be our bait. You will be target the bull's leg. I will deliver the final blow. The support player will enjoy the ride."

Chun Lee can only sigh and frown slightly. She didn't know whether Tachibana being considerate because of her low stamina or Tachibana didn't see any use of her. Tachibana then jump off the branch and land on his feet gracefully before unsheathing both of his swords from behind with a smile

"Let's go speedrun this thing!"

Tachibana said cooly as he start to walk towards the Ring bull direction.

After a few minutes of walking, with only a few metres between the three of them and their target Chae Nayun climbs a tree branch that is suitable for her to hit the target legs. Tachibana then pat Rosen shoulder lightly with his usual smile before hiding behind a tree. Rosen can only sigh in annoyance because the team unanimously vote him as the meat shield. Rosen then walk at front of the Ring bull and shout at the monster

"Let's go at it you stupid bull!"

The Ring bull flinch after hearing Rosen shout and feeling threatened the Ring bull then charge towards Rosen at a fast speed. Before the ring bull can take a first step two piece of arrow hit both of the bulls front and back legs. This causes the bull to lose balance and suddenly Tachibana jump from his hiding spot and holding one of his swords in an icepick grip then pierce through the head with his smile still etched on his face.

"That was easy. All according to the plan. Now let's go back. I want to see that our group is the first one on the leaderboard."

Tachibana said nonchalantly as he pull out his sword that was pierced on the bull's head. Tachibana then swing the sword to his side to get off the blood with a smile. The duo extra who heard him nod their head while Chae Nayun can look at him with a small scowl. Tachibana then put his swords into their sheath that was on his back with a smile before walking back towards the place they came from.

(Timeskip ten minutes later)

(1st Person POV)

That was easier than I expected. I thought that something bad will happen. I have prepared three backup plans just in case it didn't go well. But I guess it is not needed. I am currently laying down under the shade of the tree. We have reported it to the instructor then we dispersed. And by great luck we finish in the first place by 25 minutes and 21 seconds. Good job me.

While I was complimenting myself I saw Kim Hajin and Yoo Yeongha group. Yikes, why are they covered in black? Is this what they call black face? Well, it's not my problem. Then I lock eyes with Kim Hajin which causes me to smile towards him while waving the hand. Did he already comes to the conclusion that I am an anomaly in his story? I am interested in our future talk.
