Chapter 282 : Laevateinn!!

At that moment, Sylvie wore an expression unlike any Loki had seen before.

"Like a young girl afraid of losing something important," she cautiously inquired, her eyes reflecting concern.

Loki suppressed his usual smirk, replacing it with a solemn expression never seen on his face before. 

He met Sylvie's gaze, her eyes a striking black and white, and spoke with heartfelt sincerity.

"I have betrayed everyone who ever loved me. My father, my brother, my homeland," he confessed. "But those actions have only brought me pain. So trust me, Sylvie, I won't let you down."

Sylvie sensed the sincerity in Loki's words, a faint smile curling at the corners of her mouth. She gently patted Loki's shoulder like a queen and teased, "If we manage to overthrow the TVA, I will generously grant you a timeline to rule."

Loki looked genuinely flattered. 

"Ah, finally, satisfaction." 

The two exchanged smiles, their faces almost glowing with relief. Off to the side, Thor watched with a paternal smile, while Odin's brow furrowed.

Loki seemed to share Sylvie's sentiment, a small, happy smile playing on his lips as he let out a chuckle.

Elsewhere in the DC universe, Deadpool felt a pang of homesickness at the sweet scene.

His mind wandered to Miss Death, whose embrace he once sought after admiring her mind as much as her appearance. They had hit it off instantly, yet his restless nature led him astray.

Regret gnawed at Deadpool's thoughts until he slapped his thigh and flew off towards Paradise Island.

Alioth being attracted meant Loki and the others could leave, leaving her to face the danger alone!!

However, Loki firmly shook his head and refused, "No, I will go wherever you go!"

Simple words as powerful as steel!

Loki then handed the controller to Mobius without saying a word.

Silvi remained silent, but her eyes betrayed her deep emotions.

Thor looked at Loki with affirmation and approval!

If Thanos could be called impulsive, Loki's decision showed he could conquer fear just as well!

At that moment, he openly acknowledged Loki as his friend.

Meanwhile, in a wise old man's final act, old Loki blessed the young man.

"Good luck to you. I hope you achieve your goals," he said.

With those words, old Loki gave a profound look to the two of them and departed with the young Loki and the alligator in the opposite direction.

On the hillside, Loki and Sylvie exchanged a meaningful glance, then descended the hill together with determination.

"Alioth has been attracted. Now, there are only two people they can rely on," Sylvie remarked.

"But staying here isn't an option. Alioth is consuming everything quickly; Sylvie's enchantment will undoubtedly be too late," Loki responded.

Loki had already devised a plan. He immediately separated from Sylvie and drew the golden short sword.

In an instant, the golden short sword erupted into a dazzling flame, infused with magic. It changed course towards Alioth as it had done in Sylvie's previous encounter, its gaping red mouth aiming for Loki!

"Is this the flame magic sword, Laevateinn?" Thor asked, surprised and puzzled.

"But why is the flame so weak? I remember this sword could soar to the sky and cleave stars and moons when fully charged."

Perhaps feeling too embarrassed this time, Odin finally couldn't restrain himself and murmured softly,

"Do you think it's possible that the issue might not lie with the Flame Magic Sword?"

Beside him, Loki suddenly blushed deeply.
