This Hero and The Day!

It's as if I'm floating in some deep river. I can't see the bottom, or the top. All I can feel is the water around me. The chill in my bones shook me to my core as I tried to breathe, but the water stopped me.

As I struggled within the depths, a voice… or at least what I think is a voice, called out to me.

[So… How was it?] It did not speak, but I understood its words. It was as if I had read what was just told to me.

I struggled to open my eyes as I searched for whatever was addressing me. The world felt barren as my limbs failed me.

[We shall see each other again.]

I felt a strange sensation as something was placed upon my chest.

[It's time to wake up.]

Birds chirped as I flung my eyelids open. The morning dew was disturbed as I began to shift my body.
