This Hero and The Night!

The sky grew dark as I tossed and turned in my bed. Memories of my past flashed across my mind as I tried to sleep.

"He had dreams of glamor fighting back the Demon King." A familiar voice said in my mind.

"Do you think the Demon King will come here?" Another voice asked.

"So there's nothing special about you?"

I flung the blankets off of myself as I opened my eyes.

The room was dark. My eyes slowly adjusted to the lack of light as I began to dress myself once more.

I need to clear my mind.

When I get down about something, I dwell upon it. Back on Earth I would just ignore my problems with video games or manga. Now, however, I have no such distractions.

I slowly pulled my pants up.

"We have been called. We must answer."

I slipped my cuirass over myself as I fed my arms through the holes.

"Let's do this, Kenji."

I tightened the laces on my boots.

"When we're gone, our dreams still remain?"

I ensured my belt was fastened before I pulled a black travel cloak over myself.
