Chapter 55

I am not surprised. Giving two siblings power, with massive hate boners for Tony Stark, would eventually let them try to off him. I didn't care if he died, I barely had a relationship with him, and we definitely weren't friends.

He also wasn't very important in the grand scheme of things, sure he wiped out Thanos, but that was something I could also do, without letting the snap occur in the first place. Cannon was something the weak depended on and after a millennium of living here, I am certainly not weak.

Currently, The Avengers were ready for a fight but my mind magic clued me into the fact that they were fearful. They normally wouldn't feel fear to this extent, but Wanda is proficient with the mind, not even close to my level but enough for people with zero mind defences.

Hearing a massive roar, I immediately know instead of fear, Wanda is letting the Hulk become angry. Which could be either smart or stupid. Smart if Hulk decides to just fight everyone, and stupid if he singles out the twins.

Another bad part was the fact that I was in a conversation with Bruce Banner just a few moments ago, which means he was close by. Looking at the now transformed Hulk charging my direction.

Channelling my inner dark souls, I smoothly roll out of the way. He wasn't going after me, so I didn't have to worry about another attack. I create a clone, turn myself invisible and command the clone to act like a normal civilian and evacuate this part of the area.

"Shit, Jarvis, get me my suit," Tony exclaimed. "Also use the device Magni gave us to communicate with him, get him here pronto."

"I see, you won't even let us take him, without interfering," Wanda said before blasting them with red energy.

Fortunately for them, Hulk chose to prioritise the flying lady. Which causes him to receive a blast of chaos magic in the chest, sending the green brute flying back into one of the pillars, and one of the civilians who didn't evacuate fast enough. It didn't even damage him, the only reason he flew was that he didn't expect it. Chaos magic was strong, but those blasts weren't.

Clint, the Hawkeye suddenly had his bow out, and shot dozens of arrows towards Wanda, only to have them intercepted by Quicksilver, who immediately ran up to Hawkeye and delivered a few punches towards him.

Black Widow joins into the fray and rapidly fires her guns at Wanda, who uses her telekinesis to either block or redirect the bullets. Hulk meanwhile just removed a few pillars from the building and threw them towards Wanda, Pietro, and even Captain America who raised his shield just in time to block the brunt of the attack.

Tony was already in his armour, and was flying about shooting every hostile. He was keeping Quicksilver on his toes with the blasts, and the speedster couldn't really reach him because he was in the air. I could feel Pietro's frustration through the connection I had with him through his powers. Luckily he chose to pick the smart move and chose rather to engage the two ordinary humans, Natasha and Hawkeye. Delivering only two punches that knocked the two out.

I am surprised he didn't accidentally break their necks. Punching ordinary people at his speed would kill people, that's simple physics. Just goes to show the excellent control I imparted onto him.

Hulk tried to rush Wanda again, but she just threw him away with her telekinesis. He didn't even weigh a tonne, and Wanda's current limit I tested so far was just above 100 tonnes. It was fucking OP, and the only downside she had, was that she couldn't concentrate on a lot of things. Which was exactly why I had to wave my hand to redirect a stray blast from Iron Man.

This was such a shit show at the moment. The property damage was through the roof, he almost had my sympathy for just that. He did almost deliver a killing blow to my apprentice(?), which was justified, but still if someone managed to kill someone I was fond of even if it was to defend themselves, I would hate the person. I could resurrect her after but it would be a tonne of work.

Feeling the Bifrost open, I knew this would get more difficult for the twins. I was right because my nephew just flew through the hole, and immediately went to pounce on Wanda. How the hell did he even arrive so quickly, the distress signal was just sent 5 minutes ago?

She tried to use her telekinesis,but he had his enchanted uru gauntlet on that made him immune to telekinesis on his whole body. She could rip off his head, but she didn't have the control to just rip off one body part. Seeing her panicking about Magni who was 2 metres away, I decided to intervene before she became a splat on the floor.

Needing a disguise, I instantly equip my doom guy costume that I made a few centuries ago and never really used. Doom, unfortunately, doesn't exist on this planet since the creator was never born, but I planned to create the game after I finished with GTA 6 that I am working on currently.

This fact also helped me so that no one recognized the costume. The fact that I am wearing the costume now could be suspicious if I put it in a game, but since my clone was chilling with the other civilians on the other side of the room, I can just say that I thought the costume was cool.

I pretend to be a summon of Wanda by appearing in a red light. Before Magni could crash into her, I blocked him before headbutting him. Sending the poor lad into one of the Hulk's projectiles.

'It's just me, Loki. Decided I wanted in on the fun.' I mentally messaged the twins. 'I will handle the blonde, you can finish your mission.'

'Got it.' Pietro replied in the mental channel.

'Wanda, I recommend keeping this channel open, it would help you two communicate better.' I said.

'Okay.' She replied.

Magni was already up, and he looked pissed. He had the strength of about 70% of my base form with that gauntlet. Which wasn't much, but he could still make me hurt, and I saw no reason to use my other abilities against him, that would be bullying.

"I will make you regret that, Mortal." He mocked.

"Mortal, do you believe yourself to be some sort of god? How conceited." I replied before dashing at the lad without my superspeed. He tried to deliver a punch to my gut but I easily avoided it, jabbed him in his sides.

He couldn't even lay a finger on me, which was disappointing yet unsurprising since I know thousands of different fighting styles. My hits were fast and hard in comparison, and it didn't take long to get him wobbly.

Grabbing him by the legs, I throw him towards the downed iron man and immobile Hulk. Tony's suit was stuck to the ground by Wanda's telekinesis and Steve was knocked out by the fast kid. Hulk was in the form of Bruce Banner, lying unconsciously on the floor. She must have used her powers to forcibly put him to sleep. Mind magic, best magic.

'What now.' I asked into the head of my comrades.

'I don't want to kill him but I also don't want to let him go. As much as I hate him, he did well for his country and the world by battling the chitauri, but I can't forgive him for the hand he had in my parents' death.'

'What, you did all this and you don't even have the resolve to finish what you started. You know he won't stop until he hunts you down after this. You may have reduced some casualties but people still died here. They won't forgive you so easily.' I replied.

Yes Wanda, join the dark side. I ignored the part that told me that she was just a misguided child and not a cold killer. I was more focused on the bad things she had done, like setting the Hulk on Johannesburg, or mind-controlling an entire town, that I neglected her more heroic deeds.

'I thought all the civilians escaped before we fought.' She said in denial that she caused the deaths of innocents. Not that they were really innocent, they were rich men after all.

'Dismember him, that is tamer. It will at least let you feel as if you have your revenge.' I suggested since she was still conflicted. She just gave a nod before making a blade out of the chaos magic and slicing off Tony's arm, causing him to scream in pain.

"I spared your life, just because of the good you did for the people of this world. Next time I won't be so merciful." She said out loud before she flew us away.
