Secret meeting

While Luke was travelling back to Conner village, secret meeting was being conducted completely off records.

On one side of the table were people in blood red church robes and military uniforms, while on the opposite side were people in white clothing.

"The pope sends his regards" Spoke the man sitting at the centre of the table in red robes.

"His majesty also sends his regards" Said the man in white noble clothing.

"The mission should proceed as planned." Said the man in red

"But The Resistance was utterly destroyed!"

"Yes. But this will not affect us too much. The Resistance had completed its job of causing instability within Leon, and causing fear within the people."

"That is true, but it is still concerning as to how that council was able to find and get rid of every single base."

"Yes, and we must remain vigilant to that. I heard there was a single person who helped locate all the bases. I think he was called 'The Sage'."

"Yes. We heard about him as well. He was working with MI9 for quite some time. I heard Rachel almost killed him, but somehow he recovered completely."

"Nonsense, that is a false rumour. Anyone who met Rachel should be dead, and if he survived, recovering in that much time is impossible."

At the mention of The Sage, two people, 1 on each side of the table, flinched slightly and noticed each other's movements, only for their eyes to meet.

The two men did not notice the silent exchange of looks between Bishop Harlem and Baron Bard.

"Anyway, we just need to kill him, right? Just hire assassins?" spoke the man in white.

"Already done. 'The Assassin's guild' from our Roland, 'The Lord's Sword' from Islesat, and even 'The Rats' From Leon will a bounty on his head in a few days' time."

"Good. We will pay half as compensation."

"Good. Anyway, back to the main topic. We need to prepare as soon as possible. The Pope hopes for the date of attack to not change. 5 months more."

"Yes, Yes. Preparations are already being made."

"Good. As in our previous agreement, the land will be taken by whoever so takes it in the end."

"Naturally"

The two men had amiable smiles on their, but their internal thoughts were completely the opposite.

'Just you wait! The Pope already has his plans! Kekeke, while getting rid of Leon, we will get rid of you as well! What a wonderful idea! The Roland Continent! How does that sound? Oh wait, you can't hear me! Kekeke.'
