69 Drake

Luke looked over and noticed that this was also a Grand Mage, most likely the branch manager, or at least the deputy manager of the branch.

Seeing this person, who would have been leagues ahead himself when he first joined the Guild of Magic, was now on equal standing to himself, if not lower due to the potential Luke was showing, Luke felt a little proud.

"The Sage huh? You certainly do look the part." Said the branch manager. However, before he could continue speculating, Luke shut him up.

"I don't have time for nonsense regarding my identity and stuff. Here, this is my guild card. I need sell some things, and I need to change my current level on the card to Grand Mage. My current clothes are such that I can change their appearance anytime, so I already made the changes to it to fit the Grand Mage title. Just fix my card, and buy everything here."

Luke spoke as though he owned the place, which greatly ticked off the branch head.

In the Guild of Magic, standing among magicians was just as, if not more important than one's magic. However, the young man in front of him was emanating a dangerous aura which was not only cancelling his own, but also overpowering him to a certain extent. Naturally, the old man hadn't even released close to his full pressure, but nor had the young man. This just went to show just how strong the lad was. And he was so young.

There even exists the chance that he might even one day reach the peak of Gamin?

Thinking this far, the old man calmed down and decided to give up something like 'face' while he still could.

"Tch. Alright. But you could talk to your equal in a better method."

Hearing this, Luke was stumped for words for a moment.

'You! How did you change your stance at the flip of a coin!? Tch. This old fox.'

"Sure, sure. Now, how about we get things done?"

The atmosphere instantly calmed down as things suddenly began to flow smoothly, and Luke received the funds he needed. Naturally, he did not take all the funds in gold coins, but took them in silver, copper, and bronze to allow the residents of the village to use as well.

With this done, Luke left the town and headed back to the Conner village.

In another part of Gamin, in a secluded cave deep within an incredibly tall mountain range.

"Grooooooooowl~"

A tremendous growling emerged from within the cave. Inside was an unbelievably large silver shadow, with 3 more much-much smaller shadows.

"So you are trying to tell me you ate a Potato and it made a contract with you?"

Asked a motherly voice in confusion as she tried to communicate with her son, who had finally learned to communicate a little.

*Shake**Shake*

The little black dragon shook his head is quick succession before doing a backflip in frustration and tried once more.

"Fler verof fors veffex!"

"Humans? From where? Which kingdom? Where. Let me kill that insignificant bug. Then you will be free."

*Shake**Shake*

The little black dragon shook his head once more with a worried expression.

"Refty fotvw wefef! Wefef!"

"Fufufu~ Fine, I will spare him! Your speech id just too cute! Anyway, you will outlive him anyway. It'll just be a few hundred years at best. Anyway, tell me what did he name you?"

"Fwake!" said the little baby dragon with sparkly black eyes as it stared at its mother towering above him. [1]

"…I'm gonna kill him right this instant! That b*stard! How dare he give you such a demeaning name!!!??!?!?1"

"Wefef!!!!"

[1] Luke had initially named the dragon Drake, but the baby dragon is learning speech, but due to the lack of teach, its words sound like that.
