"My eyes! Argh!" the man covered his eyes as he tried to rub the dust and tiny pieces of gravel out of them. It felt as though it was not working too well and he was just making it worse. Why had Linkin done that? Were they not friends?
Linkin took action right after throwing the dust and gravel, as he used all the strength in his body to launch an uppercut aiming straight towards the middle of the masked man's legs.
When Linkin fist landed and hit that sensitive area for all men, the masked man let out a high pitched scream, his voice sounding like he never went through puberty. The masked man eyes rolled to the back of his head as he fainted from sheer pain alone.
"See what a true friend I am? We haven't even known each other that long and I'm already helping you practice your high notes for your singing career. Remember, good friends always listens-" he was about to say the masked man name but, he realized that he never bothered to ask for it.
"Oh, right... Never got your name. Geez, and you called me a friend? Well, first lesson... Maybe next time don't trust someone as a friend who didn't bother to ask you your name? Let's just call you Bob for now" Linkin leaned down and lightly slapped the face of the "Bob" as if saying better luck next time.
Linkin then stood up straight as he let out a deep sigh, trying to not think about the pain flowing throughout his entire body. "Well, the first phase of my master plan to escape was a success... But I'm really not going to like the second phase..." he thought to himself as he looked down towards "Bob".
He let out a helpless sigh, "The health practices of this place are not the best but..." Linkin began to take off the clothing of "Bob". Since they were around the same size, Linkin should have no problem changing into them.
After changing into the clothing belonging to "Bob", Linkin picked up the mask and put it on his face. If not for this mask, then it may have been a bit tricky to escape. He then bound the hands and feet of "Bob" with the chains he was originally in and then stuffed his mouth with some nearby cloth.
"Sorry buddy, I can't have you yelling out and starting one of those medieval movies chases through a dungeon. Just, kinda not feeling it right now with the whole weak body and slave thing. Oh yeah, and the fact that apparently I'm supposed to die. Now that Bob... You know, that's just a huge deal breaker for me personally. It's not you, it's me. I promise".
Linkin used the key to unlock the room door as he casually strolled out. Sometimes the best way to hide was in plain sight, the last place most would think to look. "It's about time to start phase three but... How do I even get out of here?" Linkin thought to himself as he walked around the dungeon.
He saw many other people behind cold iron like bars, and others were banging on doors from the inside pleading for their lives. "I wonder if all of these people bumped into a noble lady..." Linkin joked with himself. He was in no position to save others at this point. After all, he did not even know if he could save himself.
"Bob! Did you finish the task already? Should I report to the lord that it is done?" a man shouted out from behind Linkin.
"Bob? No way right...?" Linkin looked around and saw that he was the only other person there along with the man who just shouted. "Are you-" he cleared his throat and tried to mimic the way Bob sounded, "Are ya talkin' to me sir?" he wondered if the sir bit was too much, but the man appeared to be a knight of sorts.
"You buffoon! Who else around here has such a name? Did you or did you not finish the task?" the man asked once again in a more menacing voice as if his patience was severely limited.
That guy's name was actually Bob?
Linkin thought to himself, "Note to self... Look into becoming a psychic..." he then looked right at the man and said, "Yes, it be done sir. Quick and painless just like ya asked"
The man glared at Linkin, "Then I'm leaving to report to the lord. Next time you waste any more of my time than you have to, I will cut you down!" he then walked away.
As he was walking away, Linkin suddenly had an idea as he tailed the man who said he was leaving. "Coming to lead me to the exit in my time of need... That's what a true friend is" Linkin thought to himself with a smile on his face.
