4 Dear Friend

Linkin carefully tailed the knight, following him all the way to the exit of the dungeon. There were two men who appeared to be soldiers standing guard at the exit. When the knight approached them, the two guards saluted, "Captain Krunch!" Both of them were respectful towards the knight, Captain Krunch.

However, Krunch had an arrogant expression on his face and looked down on both of the soldiers, ignoring them as he continued through without concern. Why should he bother addressing such lowly and insignificant people?

Not too long after Krunch left, the two guards eased up and had sour expressions on their faces. It was obvious that they were not pleased with how Krunch treated them.

"Just because he's a spoiled little noble and had everything handed to him on a silver platter, he thinks he's so much better than everyone. It honestly pisses me off." The first guard scoffed.

"Heh, you're just jealous that you weren't born into a noble family. If you could be reborn and had your way, I'm sure you'd choose to be a part of some big and powerful noble family." The second guard chuckled.

"What? You wouldn't? Though right now, I just want to rise up in the ranks and get out of this damned dungeon guard duty. This place reeks of trash and filth." The first guard sighed.

'Two guards... From the look of things, they don't seem too interested in their jobs. Heh, this will make it easier than I expected.' Linkin grinned in a sly manner before he casually approached the two guards, heading towards the exit of the dungeon.

When the two guards saw that it was Bob approaching, they both looked at each other in a meaningful way.

"Hey Bob, what do you say we have ourselves a little bet again huh? A friendly wager between friends." The first guard put his arm around "Bob's" neck as he gave a fake friendly smile. He had dealt with Bob many times before and knew that as long as you called him a friend, he would be willing to do almost anything you say.

The second guard smirked when he saw what the first guard was up to. However, would he be so kind as to let him have all the fun?

"Yeah, just a friendly little wager. If you win, we'll give you some coins. But if we win... Heh, forget the coins, why don't you just introduce us to that sister of yours? Of course, we just want to be her "friends". What do you say?" The second guard grinned.

Linkin's facial expression under the mask looked completely dumbfounded.

'These two... Did they get dropped on the head by accident as babies?'.

It was obvious to even the biggest idiot that these two were up to no good. They obviously wanted to take advantage of Bob's kindness and have their way with his sister.

'How dare they think about doing such a thing to my dear friend, Bob! Let's see how I'll deal with you two. Hmph, trying to con me? You're one hundred no... One thousand years too early!'.

If Bob could hear the words Linkin was thinking he would want to cough up blood.

Dear friend? What kind of dear friend would assault his friend's manhood in such a vicious manner?!

"What kind of game did you have in mind?" Linkin was doing his best to mimic Bob's voice.

"Just a simple game of dice! Here are the rules, you will roll once with two six-sided dice. If you roll anything less than seven, then we win. However, if you roll anything more than six, then you win. How's that sound?" The first guard explained.

The first guard removed a pair of dice from his pouch. At first glance, they appeared to be normal dice. However, this was only to the untrained eye. Linkin could tell with a single look that those dice were loaded and that it was obviously the work of an amateur craftsman.

'I could use some money, so it'll be killing two birds with one stone.'

Linkin pretended to be hesitant for a bit before finally nodding his head, "I accept."

Linkin smirked, but it was hidden underneath his mask. These two unfortunate guards had no idea what they were about to get themselves into.
